8,8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely old feel to the building with bars in all sorts of nooks and crannies. Stayed in the newer rooms, which were modern but in keeping with the overall appearance, food good and large portions. Breakfast very nice.
Cons: Not so much what I didn’t like, but I found out why there are earplugs in the room. Two external sources of noises the hotel can’t be held responsible for, the seagulls and 6am very loud dustbin emptying, got the impression they were up so everybody else should be. However one thing in my room was the odd very loud banging coming from what sounded like the walls during the night, and only the night. Could have been the pipes but don’t think so. The banging happened maybe 15 times per night, 5 to 10 seconds at a time and loud. The staff I mentioned it to, were not aware of it. As I say not a complaint as such just an observation.

Pros: Fabulous place, great value for money
Cons: Nothing
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Just the right balance of luxury and comfort, you would feel just at home at home wandering the house and grounds and dining in a twinset and pearls or jeans and a shirt. There were so many beautiful, interesting and historic objects to peruse and the friendly hounds to pet. it's wonderful to see the house as it 'almost' was and Neil was happy to share the history and his ongo g restoration plans. I'm so glad we had a few days here. If you stay overnight and get the opportunity to dine in, you simply must. We ate here the two nights it was available, and our friends staying locally were made welcome as there was space....the food was fabulous. you are close enough to town to sample the local areas' offerings. But remote enough at the end of a long green drive to feel secluded. Just lovely.
Cons: Our room didn't have a bath which personally I prefer but there are plenty of rooms to chose from.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: First time at Plas Dinas, but probably not the last. Good spacious accommodation in a Country House oozing character and history, but not in an ostentatious way. A good breakfast and a spectacularly good evening meal in "The Gun Room".
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a true historic British short stay experience. The royal history associated with the property, the memorabilia on display and the finish of the rooms is all part of the experience. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the standard of service is the best.

Pros: Really friendly and accommodating staff that went out of there way to help make the stay pleasant. Welcomed cup of tea after a very long journey despite checking in within a whisker he didn’t make me feel I was an inconvenience. Thank you
Cons: Bacon was overdone but forgiveable
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a Pod. It was exactly like in the pictures - small bit very clean. It smelled like a new log cabin when we arrived which was a very pleasant surprise. It was perfect for our family of 4. The toilet/shower room was only used by the 2 Pods and was immaculately clean, modern and very close by. The Pods do have underfloor heating however, we took sleeping bags in case it was very cold. We used them alongside the supplied duvet and were all warm enough.

Pros: The scenery, views, and area, are absolutely stunning, couldn't of wished for a better setting.
Cons: Room and hotel is run down and shabby, way way way overpriced, extortionate prices for the quality. Quite devastated and disappointed by the tired look and lack of cleanliness
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent! And the room had a sea view.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel very helpful staff made me feel very welcome. And breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel I I will definitely stay here again
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Power shower pretty useless
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful, friendly, polite, and welcoming. The room over looked the sea it was lovely. Clean room, heating always on! Old fashioned setting. Great value.
Cons: Pool had a leak so was out of use - however this was completely beyond their control as it happened over the Christmas holidays. Car would be needed to get to places surrounding, however they do have a hair dressers, salon, tapas bar and cafe in the surrounding. Supermarkets are not within walking distance (4 miles)
7,1 Good
Pros: Great location and incredible views
Cons: The swimming pool was unavailable- something we weren’t made aware of before we arrived. The room was freezing when we first arrived and took hours to warm up. We paid extra for a cooked breakfast only to be told that it was also unavailable. The hotel refunded the money we’d paid for breakfast and pointed us towards a nearby cafe.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent, wonderful view of the Water from the room. I have a disability and the host was extremely helpful
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: When we arrived we were offered a free upgrade to the penthouse, (great we thought, we could all be together) we went in and all looked to be fine, took the kids to see Santa at Greenwoods forest park (well worth the visit) so bedtime came and the kids were to sleep in the window where there were 2 single beds (ideal) bedrooms for the adults singles for the kids, except one of the single beds was wet through down one side, the duvet, sheets and the mattress, reported to reception to be told yes we had driving rain a few days ago it must have got in somewhere,
7,0 Good
Pros: The view! It was stunning! Plus the staff couln't have been more helpful. They upgraded us to a bigger and better room, just because it was free (the room was amazing, we didn't want to leave it). And they opened up the swimming pool and sauna, just for us.
Cons: The bar area, which is your first view of the hotel looks a bit like a tatty pub/social club. And first impressions count. Plus, be prepared, the outside of the hotel is pink !
7,3 Good
Pros: The views were the best ever and the staff were very friendly
Cons: The rooms could do with a little updating
6,0 Good
Pros: Two bedrooms were ideal for two adults and one child. Staff were very frindly and helpful. Great location in coastal, country Wales.
Cons: Bathroom facilities not great in the room. The price was a bit too high for the facilities provided but the location was special.
4,7 Okay
Cons: Only place for evening meal was in bar. As a single female I did was not happy about this. Rooms rather dated.
6,0 Good
Pros: The view from our room was amazing but it was in a separate tower away from the main hotel. We did not try the bar as they had a party of cyclists in and so it would have been busy. The staff were very friendly although a little disorganised. Location was great as we wanted to explore the Llanberis area which was only 8 miles away.
Cons: The breakfast room lacked atmosphere although it had a good view, the cooked breakfast was average and not very warm presumable because it had to travel from the far side of the hotel. Although our room was lovely the shower cubicle and basin was located in the room and so not truly ensuite. Decor incomplete but adequate.
5,6 Okay
Pros: owner of hotel was a lovely lady made us fill very welcome
Cons:
4,8 Okay
Pros: Pleasant staff
Cons: hotel is very much a 'guest house' type of establishment. The reception area doubles as the lounge/bar. Decor is dated. Premises was very clean though.
5,6 Okay
Pros: The view from our apartment room was absolutely stunning. It was easy to find and situated within easy drive from all the main towns and villages. The hotel had all the facilities we were expecting.
Cons: We stayed in one of the apartment type rooms which had a fantastic view of the sea. However the interior was not finished to a very high standard, particularly the bathroom. The room had not been hoovered before or while we were there. Our apartment had an upstairs room which had twin beds. The beds would have been too high for our daughters and there was no gate for the very steep stairs. The room had a tiled floor and no curtains, so offered no comfort. Also the only source of heating was a fan heater.
7,2 Good
Pros: The hotel rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. We chose the hotel because we wanted a restful weekend and it fitted the bill perfectly.
Cons:
7,6 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and a flexible attitude
Cons: When my card receipt was printed it showed my name full card number and expiry date

8,5 Excellent
Pros: clean room, quiet, comfy beds. Breakfast substantial and fairly good. Pool is very nice. Great location, close to walled center and castle, supermarket across the street, walkable to harbor.
Cons: Didnt like the 6pm cutoff at the pool for children (no admittance after 5:30pm!), it should be available to children and families a little later
7,0 Good
Pros: Reception was impressive, nice presentation. Staff were great. Room was spacious, shower was great. View was ok, could just see the sea. Breakfast on 1st morning was excellent. Food and staff in the bar great. Pool staff very helpful.
Cons: The lifts weren’t working. Could have done with more explanation about where everything was and how to access the pool. Breakfast on Sunday was awful. The staff were stressed, we had to sit at a dirty table and clear it ourselves. No toast- when asked 2 different staff members they both snapped at us. It took the shine off our stay a bit.
4,8 Okay
Pros: Like the location
Cons: Mold in bath. Robotic check in with no smile (both receptionists).

Pros: The location/surroundings - gorgeous!
Cons: No wifi nor cell service of any sort. Roommates steps make beds jiggle so white noise on your headset cannot help with that... Smell in entrance area upon arrival was repulsive. Kitchen was mosquito ridden (screens on windows could help) and could be a bit cleaner, but people are people...

Cons: Could have been warmer radiators need upgrading.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely Owners! They were really helpful and so friendly. We really liked the meals and the cosyness of the hotel. The location is also great, it is nearby many touristic hotspots. Price/Performance ratio was good too. You can tell that things there are still made with love and patience. The owners on their own deserve a 10/10. Of our entire holidays, we will remember this hotel the most because of them. We recommend it!
Cons: The rooms were a little bit too cold and the hotel is generally in need of renovation, although we personally liked the older style. The water pressure in the shower was too low and it is really dark outside during the night, we nearly drove past at first.

No towels. No milk for coffee. No wardrobe to hang clothes.Room temperature controls outside my room.Poor standards for the price i paid thro using the internet site. Will not return to this hotel again.
2,8 Mediocre
Pros: It was cheap and the view outside the front door was spectacular. You could not ask for a more convenient spot to explore Caenarfon fom.
Cons: The live band were playing undereath our room so loud that we could not think let alone sleap. The juke box started after the band were done and this was not much quieter. The fire safety instruction poster was underneath the tea and cofee. The multi socket to power the tv and kettle dangled in the corner of the room. Not sure that is in line with current Health & Safety guidelines. The wallpaper was pealing from damp in the corner above the beds. The bathroom was not cleaned for our entire stay. There were about 30 sachets of coffee and no milk. No one to be found to help during the day when the pub was closed and no indication of how I would get hold of anyone.
5,6 Okay
Pros: Excellent view from our family room, great position to explore Caernarfon, literally right next to the castle.
Cons: Very basic, staff would speak welsh the moment you came into view, very annoying, locals are halfwits and drink and swear constantly outside and around the bar. Although it was reasonably clean, the shower did not work properly, there is no ensuite, no breakfast and the evening meals are very very basic. It was okay as a base, the staff did listen when you asked for something and the beer was good in the bar but I wouldn't want to stay for a long time, noise on Thursday went on till after 1:30am.

Pros: Was just what we wanted. Cheap accommodation and a friendly welcome. Our rooms were comfortable and breakfast was great. Location was ideal - close enough to the centre, but in a nice, quiet area. Would (and will) stay there again.

Pros: The location and the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Although I've put excelent for value for money, I do beleive the evening meal that was part of the package was poor and could easily be improved. It reminded me of hospital mass produced cook-chill food.

Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable bar area, clean rooms
Cons: Room very small, overlooked floodlit car park so room was very bright at night. Sink in room instead of bathroom. Information in hotel room said dinner was available from 7pm until 9pm. At 8.40pm we were told that the restaurant had been closed for half an hour and we would have needed to have booked. As we were not informed of this, we were slightly disappointed.
