Rooms really lovely comfortable & clean...great for night/weekend away with your dog just don’t rely on this place connecting your stay with needing food as rooms separate to pub...staff not bothered !
We stayed Christmas Eve we got up on Christmas Day to staff not wanting to make us any breakfast! So disappointed we were never asked what we required for our stay at all...
Price, friendliness of the staff, location and the rooms basic facilities.
Nothing at all.
Everything was good checkin in was easy drinks good nice rooms all clean breakfast plentiful hosts sociable and always a smile took time out to come and speak to us to make sure we were ok very friendly would definitely recommend
As other reviews said the accommodation is in little cabin type room out the back. It is very private and quiet. our room was small but perfectly adequate and very clean. The water was hot. The pub in the evening had a nice atmosphere and had a real fire, very cosy.
The pub is located at the top of a steep long hill. If you want to walk into town you go down the long hill, it take 20mins. The walk back is a good work out. A taxi would make this irreverent.
The whole stay was 10/10, would recommend to all customers-Paul Watkins, cardiff
