Cons: Only one criticism we all had a flight in the morning with pick up at 07.40. Breakfast did not start until 7:30am, we were not even allowed to get a drink of juice prior. Would suggest that there is a facility for some sort of continental breakfast/ coffee for people departing early for flights, golf etc.

Cons: As it was the last day of the hotel being open (closing until March-2020), it was not possible to extend the time in the room. Maximum until 14:00 to keep the baggage and the spa was off limits. This should have been announced at the time of booking.

Cons: Rude staff who delivered a letter to each room on Saturday asking all guests to be out of the door at 12 on Sunday for end of season closing. No more warning when we booked. We were chucked out basically half way through a weekend away. Shocking behaviour. I will never set foot in s hotel under this ownership ever again. No notice, no apology, no discount offer on the last night. Just asked to leave....promptly. Couldn’t even leave the car parked during the afternoon. GET OUT was the message. We did and never to return. Waste of money.

Cons: The bedrooms are slightly dated, but as the hotel will soon close for restructuring this problem will soon be remedied. Very upset that Fuerte wont be open this time next year. Perhaps the company would consider keeping the sister hotel Amare opened next winter. The hotel has so many repeat visitors in January, it would be a pity to let loyal customers down.

Cons: As we stayed during Low season it would have been nice to be upgraded to a sea view room without any extra charges. It was not many guests since we were only a few by the poolside and at breakfast. Also, it was very loud from a party across the parkinglot. Not very soundproof so to speak.

The location is amazing just literally 2 mins from high street and 7/8 mins walk to the beach lots of lovely bars and restaurants The hotel has a supermarket right opposite and there is underground parking - this is first come, first served limited availability but we were lucky to have a parking space for the time we stayed at the hotel. The rooftop pool is fantastic and the views are spectacular This is a great place to stay, you won't be disappointed by anything Well done marbella inns..... Lastly very helpful staff...... Good English spoken on the front desk Rooms are very Modern and chic and there is English TV..... ..

Pros: This was Luxury. The room was clean, tidy, well appointed and comfy. The location is PERFECT - right in the middle of town with an easy walk to restaurants, beach and general shopping. Make sure you add the breakfast in with your stay; tea, fresh ground coffee, 50 kinds of toast, four kinds of hot meal, fruit, cereal, yummy pastries, yoghurt... if you can't make it a great start to the day you're not trying :D Reception staff really lovely too :D Will be back.

Cons: The parking was terrible. There was no place to stop and register to sign in. One spot in front of the hotel was always full with vehicles, motor cycle to delivery truck. Terrible for parking and unloading your suitcases. The parking was 5 minutes away and walking with your luggage on the roads/ side walk was not good after a day on the road to get there.

Cons: The room was so small with a bunk bed and a single bed. Only enough room for 1 person at a time to be out of their bed... the bunk bed was tiny... I am only 5ft 5 but could not sit up in bed and read a book. I felt sorry for the women staying in the bed across from me. I felt like we was married after 2 days in that room. Any time she got out of bed I would put covers over my head to respect her privacy. No kitchen so cannot prepare food. Only 1 vegetarian restaurant in Marbella and very expensive. That part is obviously not hotel owners fault. I booked for 11 nights and stayed for 2. It was that bad. I have travelled India, Morocco and all over the world on a budget for 30yrs and this was one of most uncomfortable, unwelcoming places I have stayed. I asked for a part refund, some kind of compromise but they refused. I asked if I could stay one night before my return flight as a goodwill gesture and to recoup part of my money but they refused. The place has many rooms and they appeared empty but out of pure greed they crammed 3 beds in a space big enough for 1. There is a tiny wardrobe which was behind the bed so you cannot use it. This place is symbolic of Marbella.. soulless and all about the money.
