9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great for families. This was our first visit to this Marriott - we have been to the Marbella resort many times but now prefer this location. A great choice if you have children. Beach is right by the pools, children are able to use all swimming pools and the kid’s club and family entertainment was great. Lovely clean apartments with good facilities such as play parks and shop on site.
Cons: Outdoor pools were cold and could do with heating- regulars told us they are cold in the height of summer. The bar area by the pool was soulless and not a place you’d want to go to have drinks in the evening. I’m not sure I would consider this a holiday option if we didn’t have two children under the age of 6! Also, we came slightly out of season- I imagine pool areas would be pretty busy and tightly packed if resort was full.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location right on the beach. 3 different pools, restaurant, minimart, and many other conveniences. A first class resort!
Cons: Nothing
7,1 Good
Pros: Lots of activities for kids
Cons: The check out time is terrible no hotel should have a check out time of 10 am very very bad
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel and the facilities are marvellous. Self catering is fantastic. Pools were lovely. Indoor pool was closed for refurbishment but at that time of year that was not a problem for us
Cons: Having to pay for it. We have Marriott points but under your system we were not allowed to transfer our week from Marbella to Estepona. This was in spite of the fact that the resort was clearly not fully booked. Staff did not believe it when it was reorted that the coffee machine had a US plug and did not work- until they came to see it! Normally attention is more rapid than on this occasion. Note, my daughter was the guest and I booked on her behalf and she has asked me to give feedback on her behalf. I am a Marriott member.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Property has very large apartments and beautiful pools
Cons: The location is a littel remote from any other restaurants and the on site bars and restaurants are too expensive. We therefore cooked alot of meals for ourselves as each apartment has a full kitchen
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very well equipped three room apartment, with dishwasher, laundry machine and drier. Tastefully furnished and nice crockery also. Very good massages in the spa.
Cons: No nice walks directly from the hotel, and access by car difficult.

6,3 Good
Pros: Comfortable beds Excellent view Decent breakfast
Cons: AC didn’t work as they only had the heating on. Slow room service for a 5*. Extremely hot during the night made it unbearable to sleep. We were offered an ‘upgrade’ but the new room turned out to be smaller than our original room. Grand Mediterranean room looks completely different to how it is advertised online. For a 5* it’s not really a 5*. Not good value for money.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facilities and friendly staff.
Cons: A bit if a drainage smell on floor 7 in the corridor.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff beyond excellent. Breakfast best weve ever had. Grounds awesome. Room large and very comfortable.
Cons: Only small selection of restaurants and cafes locally
Iberostar Costa Del Sol - Estepona - Building

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Iberostar Costa del Sol in Estepona (New Golden Mile), you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Puerto Banus Marina and Puerto Banus Beach. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were lovely, massive comfortable beds, amazing hot powerful shower, big round bath. Quality toiletries. Reasonable food with a massive selection. Staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment team seemed to work hard. Very good value for money.
Cons: The smoking area right in the middle of the hotel meant that smoke pervaded the lobby, restaurant, pool and room corridors. The pool was freezing cold. Had to pay for hotel sun beds in the beach. No other places to eat nearby. Restaurant area very noisy.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast and dinner, with really good quality and diversity. The bedrooms are great: big, full of light, with a "could't ask for more" bathroom. Very quite as well since the bedrooms have a corridor and a second door that blocks noise. Really nice and well thought! The hotel is right in front of the beach, with direct passage. There are quite interesting animation activities throughout the day and at night. I really would like to stay again at this hotel and highly recommend this place!
Cons: A guy from the reception should have a better attitude. All the rest was really great!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It is a very good all inclusive family hotel. I loved that it was on the beach. The food was very tasty, not too salty, like in other hotels. The staff were friendly, always smiling and very helpful. Rooms were cleaned every day, beds comfortable. Evening shows were interesting.
Cons: If you are not on all inclusive, there is no place where to eat near, except for the expensive restaurant on the other side of the street. There is one food shop, accessible via beach but very small and not much to buy. Burger king and bigger supermarket on the other side of the motorway and to be honest I could not find how to get there by foot. Me and my child went to the spa pool but it was a disappointment because they did not have any pads or pool noodles for kids to swim and it was quite deep. I think if you have special hours for kids to enter, then you should have some swimming aids for kids as well. The machines in gaming room were old and most of the time not registering coins. Luckily the reception staff refunded the money.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is fantastic for price value, staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food is incredible. Apart from the location there is not much around not even a little shop and to walk to supermarket is at least 1km which is not a pleasant walk either. It was a shame that there weren’t many little restaurants around the beach etc....
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were exceptional, with excellent kids club and activities. The food selection was varied and tasty across the board. Quite frankly for the cost of an all inclusive holiday we couldn’t fault the hotel! Will certainly be heading back again!
Cons: Our only observation and reason for not giving it excellent on location was based on people we met who were only half board and you were limited to a choice of restaurants around the area, also if you were without a car could prove costly!

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, so much selection and good coffee. Views from our room were absolutely stunning, enjoyed sunsets every night. Beach access was easy and we enjoyed the loungers on the sand.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very complete breakfast, nice rooms with great seaview, very clean and nice and very kind staff
Cons: Wifi could be better
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the foyer was lovely overlooking the pools and ocean. We did not have an ocean view from our room. It was nice to have the entertainment at night. The buffet breakfast was very good. Location was good providing you have a car. We were appreciative that the hotel agreed to refund one nights stay outside of their policy, as we changed our itinerary and wanted to get to the next location sooner.
Cons: The hotel was like a European Semi All-Inclusive hotel. We were disappointed that we couldn't get anything small to eat for dinner without having the leave the hotel - which meant a drive into town. The only food available at the dinner was a fixed buffet cost of $30 euros per person, which for us, was too much $$ for the small amount of food that we wanted to have. Also, we thought that the paint in the hallways (particularly the trim) needed refreshing as pretty banged up... as well as the paint in our room - you could see where it had been touched up in a number of places.
6,3 Good
Pros: The location was good if you’re wanting a sea front location with nice pool area. The hotel and bedroom was clean, just awful bed and lumpy pillows! and no kettle in the room to make a coffee. We were on a b&b basis and had no complaints about the breakfast. It was good with plenty of selection
Cons: The staff were miserable and sometimes rude. There were only 2 members of staff who I came across who were friendly and smiling and they were the day time entertainment guys round the pool area. You have to pay for pool towels although it’s reimbursed when taken back and also pay for a safe in the room!!

5,4 Okay
Pros: Great breakfast! We didn’t tried the spa but it seemed nice.
Cons: The beds was very hard and the AC didn’t work. They didn’t empty the trash bin in the bathroom from the former guests. We also ate at the bar and the hamburger wasn’t good at all. The place really needed an update
5,8 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly, polite and helpful.
Cons: Poor selection of meals in restaurant and bar. We went last year in the Summer and it was great. This year in the Autumn things were looking run down, chipped glasses and plates. Bar inside only open for restricted times, outside bar not open at all. Spa facilities very expensive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Spa Was great and the restaurants close to the hotel were very good. Otherwise the location is a little poor since it takes a taxi or car to get into more central places.
Cons: !
9,2 Excellent
Cons: Bed too firm. Also asked for twin beds and got a double.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The absence of children made the stay a real pleasure. The hotel staff were all very helpful The surroundings to the hotel require a deal of improvement. The beach is close but only if you can fly!!
Cons: The easy access to the beach was not available A burger or a curry was the only outside food
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It was excellent valve for money , lovely spa
Cons: Bed uncomfortable, not enough pillows , and no coffee and tea facilities
10,0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was brilliant room was great staff were friendly
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Used this hotel as a stop over for 2 days on journey to Cadiz - nice young staff on reception, excellent room. Enjoyed the spa. Evening meal very good. Really enjoyed the stay and will return.
Cons: Location isn't the greatest but it suited our purpose.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and quiet hotel. Excellent for relaxing and recharging the batteries. Spent two nights and it feels like I have relaxed for a whole month! Make use of the spa especially the "pool circuit". The breakfast buffet is the best that I have come across so far. Special shout out to the chef who went above and beyond to make me a paella even when it was not on the evening menu. Small things like that really makes a big difference! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and a big thank you to all the staff!

6,7 Good
Pros: Nice pool and bar area. Large rooms and comfortable. Staff were friendly apart from the lady mentioned below.
Cons: The spa manager, Jessica, was quite simply the rudest person I have ever come across in a hotel. She was unhelpful, rude, confrontational and dishonest. She put her hand in the face of my friend. Apparently you are not allowed in and out of the spa; despite us asking another hotel employee if we could go and eat lunch outside; Jessica said this is not allowed and we would have to pay again to re-enter. Couldn’t believe this and I’ve never known this in any other hotel. She alone ruined the afternoon and we had to walk away. She was rude and really unhelpful, refusing to find a solution even though what she was saying was different to her colleagues and she didn’t tell us this ‘rule’ when she took payment. It is also not on the hotel’s T&C’s. She also refused to get a hotel manager and said she wasn’t able to contact reception. All lies. She let the entire place down.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful especially Hamed with his cocktails at the bar and miguel angel will be going back
Cons: Food at dinner not much choices
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good wide choice, plentiful portions for breakfast.
Cons: Nothing of note ..
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Had problems with room key and WiFi
5,8 Okay
Cons: Due to some sort of issue the hotel chain has with taking payment of American Express we feel we have been scammed out of approx. £300 as we had our booking cancelled by the hotel and we had to re-book only to find the new cost being higher. The hotel do accept amex so we have not been given any proper explanation as to why the original payment was not accepted.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Quality
Cons: Some noise coming from the penthouse rooms and wasn't dealt with.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: have been there many times as I have family and friends nearby , like location, staff and particularly like the bar restaurant and pool area.
Cons: have noticed the hotel is looking tired and needs a bit of a clean up and repainting in places , bathrooms could also need a lift, have noticed this on my visits this year.

Cons: the furniture in the living room was lookng tired. The apartment however was very clean and had all the amentities required. Will stay again soon.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Spacious apartment close to a supermarket operating seven days a week.
Cons: Indoor swimming pool is part of the spa offer, which is additionally paid, this is not explicitly mentioned. Cleaning is performed once per three days and lefts a bit to be desired especially that the apartment is missing basic things (like a sponge). View from the apartment towards a construction site.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was an amazing home away from home and we could even bring our labrador for an extra 10 €! Amazing value for money, spotlessly clean, kind and helpful staff, great location for being on the costa del sol but would recommend hiring a car.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location and apartment was good.
Cons: Pools were freezing cold. Spa was €24 for 1.5 hours in the gym and 1.5 hours in the pool. Too expensive.

Pros: Amazing breakfast - catering for both a local breakfast and a full English equivalent. Spa on site offering massages at a reasonable price. Beach right on the door step. Spacious room, very clean, balcony.
Cons: Had to pay for parking - it was 5 Euros a night, which isn't bad, but would have been good to just have it included in the price of the room - but to be honest if that is the only flaw I could find I don't really think I can complain!

Pros: The hotel is really nice, the swimming pool adds a very charming atmosphere to it and i really enjoyed the ambiance of this place. The room was very comfortable. Nice breakfast.
Cons: Even though there are a lot of services and restaurants near those are quite difficult to reach without a car. Nothing is far (not even the beach) but one needs to drive since there's a highway cutting through and a lot of private condominiums that one has no go around. The surroundings are actually nice. Some rooms may face noise from the highway.

The room had all the necessary amenities. Especially the beds were great, very comfortable. Food was also good, with a bit of variation every day. The staff was very helpful, especially the guy at the reception.

Pros: Loved the location. Great views from both front and back bedrooms. Facilities are good. Value for money. Rooms lovely and spacious. Nearby restaurants are fabulous. Everything is close by, beaches, airport and shops.
Cons: Some rooms needed an upgrade, especially bathrooms. Bathroom was clean but had too many black hairs around the basins and toilet. Tiles could do with a good clean also. Buffet breakfast was not hot, just warm, hot plates need to function better for heat. Coffee machines were also too cold for me.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and facilities including swimming pool.
7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast quite good hot & cold buffet. Queues at coffee machine as they are quite slow. Pool excellent and a heated indoor pool too. Good parking outside front reception and for coaches/caravans down hill 50 m.
Cons: Beds very hard. Poor & uncomfortable pillows.
6,3 Good
Pros: Free parking, friendly staff, beautiful view from our room over the mountain and the valley
Cons: The hotel is in very bad condition, buildings and furniture need to be renewed / replaced. Cleanliness was also very bad. There is no any comfortable chair in the room, a.c. is very weak and dirty, we didn’t swich it on, scaring of infections. Bathtube is small, there is no cold water, wc seat is extremely uncomfortable. There is a light on the balcony, which you cannot switch off, it’s on every night continouosly till midnight. It would have been very nice and intimate to have a drink there, watching the starry night or the lights of the night. The breakfast was poor, all of baked stuff were old, hot food was cold, even at opening time, at 7:30. Cups were chipped. Small selection of foods at dinner, soggy chips, stale salads. Desserts were all the same taste, tarts were thawed, nothing freshly made, only frozen stuff. You can have fresh fruits and better selection of food if they have a tourist group (2 times in a week when we were there) All of drinks are very overpriced. We were on HB, so the drinks are not included at dinner: Beer 2,5€ (0,4€ at the store), 1 l. Tinto de Verrano 10€ (0,69€ at the store). Staff were nice, although in the restaurant one of the chef and few waiters were really rude. All in all it is ok for the price, but not that you would expect from a 4 stars place. Good point is that parking is free.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and big rooms
Cons: Need a car to go anywhere
4,0 Okay
Cons: food was terrible

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, very clean room with big balcony. Great location near lovely plaza and lots of restaurants nearby.
Cons: Noise from renovations next door and opposite the hotel.
7,9 Good
Pros: Excellent location in the old town with pretty little streets and flowers but only a few minutes walk from the seafront.
Cons: There was scaffolding and renovation work on the buildings opposite and around the Square. Having said that there was not a lot of noise and they did not work after about 5.30pm or on Saturday and Sunday so it was not a major issue.

Cons: The rock hard mattresses and the rock hard pillows really really uncomfortable
8,3 Excellent
Pros: ~ This is our 3rd visit and It is what it says it is: Good location. Reasonable prices, very basic. Comfortable clean beds and rooms are very clean. Nice view of fountain from back rooms. View at front are of busy road but good sea view and balcony at but too noisy for us. We like the back rooms. ~ Cleaners care about the rooms and are always very helpful indeed.
Cons: Staff are not all friendly and some could do with front of House welcome training. No fridge, no coffee/tea facilities in rooms. Bathrooms: Have old Spanish look which is ok but could do with re-grouting round bath. Wires on wall lights need casing asap. NGfleo help to get some TV statins to English, reception lady just shrugged shoulders! Took me 3 days and found help from internet in the end.

Cons: there was nothing to dislike
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location is good, very very basic, we were only there for 3 nights and wouldn’t stay any longer. No tea or coffee making facilities just a small glass table and two small bedside tables. Bath not great as water runs out while your in it. We only used it as somewhere to sleep so was ok for what we needed but wouldn’t stay for a holiday
