HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Very good LOCALIZATION: 2 minutes from Plaza Mayor. Very nice decor: bar= the common area/ bedroom/ bathroom/ cool rooftop TERRACE with some view on the roofs. Nice, helpful STAFF. Good BREAKFAST, worth paying extra 4 euro, however the price: 3 euro would be appreciated.:D FREE TAPAS/ DRINK at 9:30 pm sounds great as it is for free:D and gives a possibility to meet new people (- however I was not able to get there on time, because of being busy with sightseeing:(). The starting point for Free Walking Tours at 11 am which is a great initiative in general (- however I took part in FWT started earlier in Plaza Mayor - 3 minutes walk away). The MAP with touristic information very useful.
The EARLY CHECK-OUT UNTIL 10 am was very surprising and inconvenient (- ESPECIALLY that there is info on the website and the card that it can be done until 12 am). It was my first solo travel and sleeping in dormitory rooms. I was definitely focused on sightseeing and had mixed feelings regarding renting the bed in the shared rooms, expecting a lot of noise and talking. I decided to choose rooms for women only - to feel more comfortable. However, during 9 nights in Spain (in 4 hostels/ 4 cities), the scenario was the same: nobody talked with each other nor even say 'hi'/ 'how are you?'. The fact is that there was always somebody sleeping, so it's good that people respect each other right to rest, but it even happened that some Spanish girl was veeery annoyed by the fact that I had my own light on. It has nothing to do with this specific hostel :D, I'm just wondering if it's always like that..? This is VERY WEIRD, but I cannot find any more minuses in this hostel right now. Ok, I know: it is noisy in the room if the window is open during the night. A kettle in the room, a hanger for a towel, free towel and padlock would be appreciated!! :)
It’s nice and clean and the staff are AMAZING

This place was great. Right in the middle of Madrid by Playa Mayor. You can pretty much walk to great food spots and tourist spots as well. The staff is great and friendly. Great place for people all walks of life.
