Convenient to Chamartin station
We discovered our expected reservation at a hotel in the center city had inadvertently been cancelled so we were stuck with trying to find a hotel immediately on a Madrid weekend. This was the cheapest we could find on short notice, at an average cost for our four nights of Euro 115 / night, twice what the 3-star central city hotel would have charged. What we liked was that we had a bed for the night and the sheets felt wonderful. That's about all!
This is NO 4-star hotel in 2019: How can one claim that status with only two available outlets in a room - one to be shared with the antique hair-dryer and the other already connected to the house phone? This place initially looks glitzy but as one studies one's surroundings it's easy to see maintenance isn't up to par and the whole place is tired and in need of total renovation. We didn't eat the Euro 12 breakfast at the hotel but went to the Cafe de la Estacion just inside the Chamartin METRO station where two people had huge and delicious breakfasts for the cost of one at the hotel. Each night in this hotel produced a terrifically painful neck ache I think caused by the 2" flat pillows.
Location of the property is good and near to the. Railway station
It too big property with little information to figure out for non-Spainish speaking tourists
The hotel was very close to a train station and it was very convenient for travel. The room was modern and the staff member checking us in was very helpful. I booked at short notice and found the price reasonable.
The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was modern but there was not adequate curtain or glass to stop water spilling on floor outside the shower area when you took a shower. When we were checking out, I asked the staff member for a business card for a return visit and I was told to find them in the train station, she was not very helpful and did not clarify where in the train station to find the card.
