breakfast, room, bed, location
I was on a room facing the street, and although the street was generally quiet, around 8am of each morning a gardener of the property across the street with a very loud blower waked us up. I would avoid the rooms facing the street due to this. I realize this is not the hotel’s fault.
The bathroom facilities were excellent. The service at breakfast was extremely friendly and the staff on check in / check out were great.
Everything was perfect
Nothing
Nice and clean room. Great location. Quite street.
the location is very good near the centre of the city. good transports both metro and bus. it is an experience to do again
the staff are very rude and not helpfull. there is no parking although it says on the hotel site and staff don't care about this problem where they were asked for information
The location, quiet, and the room was clean. Metro is close by, and easy to access from airport.
The staff on reception desk is not informative. No maps were provided. The breakfast is fair, good quantity, but too expensive for the quality. The signal quality of Internet is fair, free if you use you own computer, or with an extra cost of you use their computers and printers.
very good breakfast: lots of fresh fruit and jamon :) good location in Salamanca district. We booked a special offer with late check-out and free minibar which was great.
My high evaluation of value for money of this hotel is based on the special offer we booked (80 euros a night with breakfast included). However, when we asked about the price for our next stay in september, we were told the same room would cost 160 euros, which is too much for the amenities you get. In my opinion, this is a good 3stars hotel, but no more than that.
Outstanding accommodation. Well located hotel for our needs and very near two Metro stations which met all our travel requirements around town. Short ride to all museums, art gallerries etc and short walk to great shopping outlets in Serrano.
No on site parking available and street parking limited to one hour
The attention to detail of each guest's requirements.
very nice stary , good service.
The 2 adult establishments on either end of the hotel are a turn off
The location
Cleaning services and the age of the hotel
staff friendliness
Quiet hotel, pleasant staff. We were offered a selection of rooms
Surrounding location was quiet but not very interesting
The new Barceló Emperatriz is a hotel that reinterprets the beauty of a 19th century palace Madrid, and is inspired by the life of Eugenia de Montijo. Opened in 2016, the new, completely remodelled design of this central hotel matches the cosmopolitan, intellectual and visionary personality of the last Spanish empress.
