Lourdes hotels near Massabielle Grotto

Pros: Cleanliness and location.

Cons: The room and the toilet were small and there was no closet.

Pros: We come every year to this hotel and we consider it to be home from home. A lovely atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. It is perfect for our purposes and we wouldn't go anywhere else in Lourdes.

Pros: no far away from Lourdes' Church

Cons: The hose keeping was nocking the door early to do the room, been that we were inside. I do not understand the confusion if our check out was a 12 PM?

Pros: Great location close to the sanctuary of Lourdes and all the cafes and shops

Cons: bonjour J'ai eue un souci avec ma réservation: 2446572. En effet, j'ai réservé dans un hôtel 5 étoiles et la chambre ressemblait à 3 étoiles. Deux petites serviettes et pas de grande de bain... étaient dans la salle de bain. Les réceptionnistes ne disent pas bonjour, ni au revoir et limite désagréable. D'habitude dans un 5 étoiles , il y a des groom pour porter les bagages. Je me demande si les réservations sur votre site sont des chambres bradés par les hôtels et qu'il en ont rien à faire de ce type de clients.......... cordialement

Pool and breakfast each rated at approx 18-20 euro per person which is quite high (family of 5 will pay almost 200 euro extra per day just for dinner and swimming pool) The hotel called SPA hotel but the SPA is closed ....

Pros: I like the hotel in general, it has a nice decoration and ambience like a boutique hotel despite it is a big hotel. My double room was very spacious and clean.

Cons: I did not like that you have to pay extra to use the swimming pool and the gym. The booking price is already high and you have to pay a 20€ fee if you want to use these facilities. The spa wasn't finished yet and in the pictures looks bigger than what it is.

Pros: The grad welcome by very friendly staff. And a glass of champagne. Unbelievable! Byron took me to my room that is exquisite and has a great view of the city. Excellent place. I recommend highly. Let me check out late and got a taxi for me. Thanks.

Pros: This was a stopover for us on our way to Biarritz. The swimming pool was very welcome in such hot weather.

Cons: We paid access for the pool, but children are not allowed indoor. You have to book private access for 100eur. The shower cabin doors were falling from the structure. Pretty poor for a newly renovated place.

Pros: The beds were large and comfortable. Good view across the valley (when we were given the right room). Smart bar and reception area. Helpful staff.

Cons: Initial impressions were one of faded grandeur. The car park looked like it was worse for wear, and the entrance was guarded by the owner's car parking across it. The tiles of the outside bar area looked like they needed a good scrub! Inside, the impression got better. The reception, bar and dining area looked smart. It wasn't immediately apparent that the reception was not at the bar, but rather at a repurposed dining table with a couple of computers. Nevertheless, we were seen swiftly in staff wearing all white outfits (Playing tennis later..?) We were allocated a room win the second floor, but our elevator was only able to take us to the first floor. After that we had to walk on astroturf (to mimic a tennis court?) to an odd room overlooking the road. The room did not have any bedside tables, and the phone (which was in the bathroom) didn't work. It wasn't the "room with a view" we had paid for. We reported back to the reception and were duly re-allocated a room with the view we were expecting. The decor was modern, but some of the fittings were a bit tired such as the hair dryer and the air conditioning unit. The TV reception was poor for English channels. The £20 flat fee for using the gym and swimming pool left us a bit put off, given how prominently the photos of said pool and gym feature in the write-up, and that this had been a large factor in us staying here. We decided against using them in the end, because as far as we could tell, the spa was simply a pool, without sauna/steam room/jacuzzi. Other than breakfast, there was no restaurant facility.

Pros: Nice old building. The lobby was nicely decorated and the staff was great. Especially the lovely irish( i think?) lady. The rooms were nice, great beds. Free parking, and the breakfast was phenomenal. Great variety, but it has some flaws. Read below

Cons: Upon check in the told us there is a surcharge for the indoor pool of 20€ per stay. Kids under 18€ are not permitted to be there???? Just in the outside pool, but even if you use just the outside pool, every adult pays 20€?? Strange, no mention of that in booking.com . At breakfast you get a thermos of coffee but must pay for cappuccino and espresso??? Also you must pay for omelettes or over easy eggs. At € 18 for the breakfast, that should be included. The room wall are paper thin so you easily hear your neighbor phone conversation, bedroom habits or television. The toilets and the bathrooms in the rooms are mini and various hooks and other things are broken. Also in the hallways there are many marks on the walls. Also the elevator doors need to be painted. For example on the first floor, the door looks like a freight elevator , scratched, paint missing etc... This hotel is a very old hotel, taken over and revamped 2 years ago. I'm sure it used to by a Grand Hotel, but it isn't at the moment. The price is grand, but every little thing costs extra. Might be a reason why it was easy to book a room for the next night in mid august. If they just touch up the little things it would already come a long way. Charging for the pool and for espresso at breakfast is just not done. It seems like price gauging. Not necessary at all. If they change that we would probably come again, just to meet that lovely irish (english?)lady again, who does such much there. She's also great with kids.

Cons: I have stayed here before and I am a fan of this hotel. However, I’m a bit disappointed that my search this year yielded this hotel. I searched for WiFi and ....A/C as my trip was in August. In my room, I saw no vents and no cool air. When i asked the desk “where were was the air conditioner”, I was told only rooms on the 3rd floor were air conditioned. Not sure if the snafu was the hotel or booking.com. But, somewhere the disconnect was not good. It was shockingly hot and no breeze.

Cons: There was a mixup on the dates for my reservation. The hotel manager did absolutely nothing to help me or work with me. They took my money and basically told me that's too bad. Life is too short to deal with people like that

Pros: Located in the centre of Lourdes. Easy public parking nearby. All the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Sherrif in from desk who made sure that we comfortable and helped us with restaurant recommendations and reservations. The restaurant staff were very attentive and friendly. We were able to store our bicycles safely on site which was very convenient. ( even though they were wet and grimy after some hard rides ) . Would thoroughly recommend the Beau Site ;)

Pros: Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. Our room had a great view too and the bathroom was quite spacious. We had a comfortable stay.

Pros: The welcome from the staff was exceptional (Sharif) made me feel.very welcome . Gabrielle is also an excellent staff member Chambermaid friendly and helpful . Bike storage was great and very easy . The midday checkout was a bonus too

Cons: Staff were very rude when checking in; no greetings, no eye contact; they let us wait for long as they kept talking to others, even though they knew we were waiting. When inquiring for certain things, they did not make any eye contact and without hearing us out they’d no no no. There was no need to be ignorant and rude. A great customer service is needed when promoting business. If they don’t want to face customers then they should not open up a business. We have been visiting Lourdes many years, and we never came across bad service. It is a place of worship and no one wants to start the morning or evening with unacceptable customer service.

Cons: Difficult to find by car. Most access to the city were closed and better indications how to arrive would be nice. Reception staff when we left was rude. Lovely staff at reception during check in.

Pros: The staff was excellent. They were very helpful when we had questions about the area. The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. Breakfast buffet was a good value at €11 but they stop putting food out at 0900. The location was good. Away from the big crowds but still walking distance to the Grotto, restaurants, and other sites. We will definitely stay here again.

Cons: The bed was not properly done. The toilet wash was broken took a day to repair we did not use it because we worry the water might overflow.

Cons: The room wasnt clean. Hairs in the bath. Beds were 2 singles when booked a double. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The room was the most basic I've ever stayed in j would say 2 star at best. The breakfast was not great. Croissants were burnt.

Pros: The location was really convenient and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was a bit odd but still comfortable and clean. The hotel can get really crowded and messy during peak season although the facility is large enough to cope with everyone despite the mess.

Cons: Parking was expensive, in my view, and morning coffee was terrible - however the breakfast was really complete and of good quality. Please, change your coffee beans!
