Pros (+) It looked like a wonderful hotel on line, but since there are travel restrictions from the US to the UK, we wouldn't know for certain.
Cons (-) I'm sure the hotel is great, however, since we were unable to go due to travel restrictions, I feel like the contract between us and Kayak/get a room, should be considered Force Majeure. In good faith we entered into a contract, however Kayak/get a room continues to hold onto their no refund policy during a pandemic, and as such, refusing to refund our money. Pros (+) The hotel is right across from King's Cross train and tube station, so it was a 20-30 minute or less tube ride to all of the sights. Buses were right outside too. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. There are places closeby to eat, even late at night (5 guys is across the road along with some Indian restaurants). There was a huge variety in the guests staying ...
Cons (-) There was a dank smell in my room that I couldn't get rid of. I don't recommend it for folks with mobility problems because there are steps everywhere. It it on a busy street so if you need silence to sleep this isn't the place. I live in New York City so it didn't bother me, but I could see how it may bother others.
