Cons: The accommodation was tricky to find. Narrow & awkward parking
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast. Friendly, welcoming host.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B location was excellent and the nearby views at Echo Point were spectacular (day and night). The visitor centre was close by as were walks to various lookouts, including a bridge across to the Three Sisters. We didn't get to the local bar but we did eat tasty Asian food at Miss Lilian and had high tea in the very relaxing Lilianfel Lounge at the BM Resort (birthday present!) all within walking distance. Pretty Leura village was only a short drive away with other nearby walks. We drove to the botanical gardens at Mount Tomah (around 40 minutes) which were lovely, varied and quiet, and well worth the trip. Scenic World was not far away with other guests either driving or walking there (we did both). It was our first trip to the Blue Mountains and whilst we had heard people say how nice it was, we hadn't expected it to be as lovely as it turned out to be. We got aching calves from the many walks we did and 'jelly legs' from some of the views but it was all worth it.
Cons: Ate far too much at breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: None
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Easy access to tea and coffee and homemade treats. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety to choose from. Very clean and very friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing to mention.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was marvelous and the location is more than convenient, you can wake up with the stunning views of the echo point just in front of you. On top of that, and after a good trekking day, you are able to enjoy a good relaxing bath and get dry in front of the fireplace in the Victorian room.
Cons: Nothing in my experience needs to be expressed. I found the place cozy and familiar and warm as home.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast, amazing spa bath, amazing views. Decanter of port in the bedroom was a lovely and much appreciated touch!
Cons: The house was very prettily decorated - not particularly to our tastes but this didn’t affect our enjoyment at all! In fact it added to the appeal. We wouldn’t normally stay in a B&B but had been recommended this place by family - so pleased we decided to stay there.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We thought the accommodation was homely, welcoming and very clean and had good facilities. The cooked breakfast was good. We liked the homemade cakes on offer when we arrived late. The fire being lit when we arrived on a cool night was a nice touch, along with the presentation of the room. I would recommend this accommodation, a great location.
Cons: We would have preferred a little more luxury with the cereals/fresh chopped fruit/yoghurt on offer before the menu of cooked food - it would of felt more typical for the price of the accommodation. The signs saying what 'Not To Do' in and around the property were a little overbearing.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: 1) the room is very cozy and nice. Nice and clean 2) the location is fantastic, so close to the shops around, many eateries in that area. It is located so closed to echo point, we went there to catch the sunset which is so beautiful. At night, we went back again to see the light up and look at the stars, so beautiful. 3) the owner make us feel so welcome. He gave us a map and show us where to go and what to do. We asked him to recommend good eating place and he gave us very good recommendations, we enjoyed a very good meal. 4) very value for money

6,3 Good
Pros: The colonial style of the building. Down stairs renovations were nice
Cons: The rooms needed attention and to be updated like the common areas of the building. Cleanliness needs to be far greater. Bathroom needs privacy such as a shower curtain or window curtains at least
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was good, pillows a bit hard, but would suit others. The scones jam and cream excellent, breakfast was great, very relaxing
Cons: A bit more room to put things in the bathroom
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The feel of the whole place was great. Nice room. Free parking. Good breakfast.
Cons: Not alot of dining options - but it was Sunday night.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The unique old world charm is like being taken back to the 20s. Amazing service. The place makes you feel like you are someone special.
Cons: Not all rooms are air conditioned which would not normally be a problem but prior to us someone had left the central heating on.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: Couldn't get coat hangers out of wardrobe as they were thief proof. Bearing in mind the cost of the room the hangers should be removable. Wooden coat hangers are available for just a few $ in any bargain store.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Walking in the front door, the grandeur of the place was fantastic.
Cons: The shower in the room was probably one of the worst ever experienced in hotel accommodation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We just loved the Art Deco lights and accoutrements, beautiful Grand Dining Room and the various lounges in which to luxuriate for the weekend. Great drinks on offer too, we particularly enjoyed the Great Western Golden Ale. Cocktails looked good but we didn't indulge. Good location, just near the station but no noise from the railway and just outside the door is the main street of Katoomba and the Paragon Cafe, oldest cafe in Australia I'm told.
Cons: Creaking floorboards! Shower was over the bathtub, not a shower stall.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, minutes from The Three Sisters.
7,9 Good
Pros: breakfast very good- (except orange juice). Offered $29 deal which was worth while and included espresso coffee, lovely muesli and yoghurt pots, lovely fresh fruit, toasts, pastries and choice of cooked breakfast. Room was cold as the weather was unseasonably cold and we had to turn up air conditioner to 30 and full fan to be comfortable.I think the windows are not so well insulated. Would have liked a bath but room had lovely private view of escarpment .
Cons: Room could have been warm on arrival, not offered explanation of facilities including those shared with Lilianfels.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing facilities and view! It was absolutely breathtaking.
Cons: It was overpriced.
7,5 Good
Pros: The classic view is still stunning.
Cons: The restaurant and bar was unfortunately shut for the night with no notification. Very disappointing.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Second best shower in a hostel 11/10! Staff was super helpfull with check-in. Walking distance from trainstation and shops and main attractions. Free wash and dry clothes. Definitely recommend!
Cons: The pillow was average, like most hostels
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was large and comfortable and very quiet. Kitchen was also large, clean and well stocked.
Cons: The room was very hot- with no fan or air conditioning.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional! Free washing machine and entertainment facilities!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Lots of things for entertainment in the common rooms. Massive kitchen with everything you'd need. Chill vibe with a good mix of people. Found it relatively easy to find parking on the street outside and the town (and it's a nice town) is walking distance. Free laundry facilities and they give you 1 free bag of detergent too. Generally roomy everywhere too. And a fireplace!
7,0 Good
Pros: Great deal for a one week stay in Katoomba, overall good facilities for the price Staff was alright and generally helpful Free laundry ! Great big lockers in the room Staying in a 4-bed dorm is a good option- you might have the dorm to yourself during some weekdays if it isn't busy and more manageable to stay than in 6-bed dorm for example. Relatively spacious lounge- might not be so spacious when the hostel is busy though. Good location
Cons: The bunk beds shake when you climb them- but like REALLY SHAKE. Some beds are better than others -the one I was on was alright- but overall it seems the room could do with a tad of a refurbish. The pillows given are useless too. Bring yours if you can. No mesh screens on the windows. If it's hot with a full dorm you aren't in luck- you'll have to put a fan on which makes tons of noise, or open the windows... which may give onto the railway station depending which side your room is in. From description/photos it might seem the hostel is quite big- it is a tad smaller in reality. There wasn't really a study room- I think the room which appears on the picture with several computers is now the one with one computer, sofa and a TV- so there isn't really a space to sit down and work on your laptop other than the lounge, which can get busy. You can always go at the library and many cafes in Katoomba though. The kitchen is fine and facilities alright especially for the price- but I wouldn't want to be there when the hostel is full (probably applies to most hostels in Katoomba though)- there isn't a lot of seating to eat dinner for example (which was OK at this time, but probably not when it's busy).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The best hostel in Australia!
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Better positioning of TV would be helpful, as had to crick neck from bottom bunk to see it. Need to have working fan as well as fly screens.

4,2 Okay
Pros: It was a nicely restored building.

In the middle of the night and no staff member was on the premises or contactable. It was a false alarm and we dealt with the fire brigade. NOT ACCEPTABLE.
10,0 Excellent

7,1 Good
Pros: Husband and wife team very nice, lovely furnishings in room, whisper quiet, spa bath
Cons: We had visited a few times with previous owners and always had an excellent stay. This was no exception. I would however say this time around it lacked a little something. Can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it was the breakfast - while it offered fruit, and cooked breakfast there could have been more of a spread esp for those who don't eat eggs . Given it labels itself as 'luxury' I would say Kellogg's breakfast cereals or Aldi tea/ coffee is luxury. Furnishings in shared lounge room also pretty standard. It's a solid 3 star
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden view in front of breakfast room. Also great advice from Aaron on lots of good places to travel.

Pros: The staff were very focused and helpful and the the grounds were very pretty. The room was clean and comfortable.
7,0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was no fuss and reasonable
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. The scrambled eggs maybe a bit dry but everything else perfect. I am not such a big eater but my son must have tried a portion of just about everything there was on offer. Especially the muessli! The choices were in abundance and varied. Good to see the three different milk. All in all, lots of good healthy choices.
Cons: There could have been been better information about the aircon in the room. Neither of us could sleep due to the stuffiness in the room. It was lovely when we arrived but not to go to sleep in. About 1.00 a.m. we opened the sliding door and that beautiful mountain air came streaming in. It took us much longer to realize the controls had to be held fairly close to the aircon in order to stop it from running. That was quite annoying. After that though we slept like a log. Just not long enough.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Located in a lovely quiet area of Leura, the room was quite large, clean and well presented with awesome views of the valley. The king sized bed was a little firm and the pillows were adequate. The air conditioner was quiet and there was a heater in the bathroom which is a bonus for this cool area. Breakfast in the restaurant had a really good selection and the staff were very quick and efficient cleaning up after us. There was ample parking and I would definitely stay again
Cons: We found that the windows and doors rattled a bit at night if there was a strong wind (which happens in the Blue Mountains). Also the room safe was locked and unusable (as we stayed only one night we didn't ask to be opened)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was old worldy. gardens were all in flower and beautiful. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and professional.
Cons: The pillows were not very comfortable!! But I guess that is personal and I had to go and buy one!!!
