The hotel is right on the slopes. A true ski in ski out. Breakfast was amazing but what really killed it was dinner and the wine selection. Seriously amazing. Every evening they outdid themselves with even a better dinner than the previous one. The wine list is large but the ower is a wine lover so he can recommend the exact wine you should take based on your task. In addition, they can keep the bottle from day to day so there is no problem if you don't finish it the same evening. This makes it possible to taste a lot of different options.
The pool is a little small so you can't do laps and the heat up the hotel a little too much. Might not be a con for most people but we needed to fully open the window in the room to not burn up at night :)
The location is pretty much perfect. A skiers 10.
Not much. Paying for transfer up and down the mountain can catch you if you haven’t saved euros.
Fantastic hotel, but a bit dated. Rooms are being renovated over time, but the public spaces need some attention. The bar is stuck in the 1960s and rarely used by guests. Staff was wonderful and food was excellent. Just needs some updating of the physical plant, but overall a great place to stay, eat, drink and ski.
The location, right on the piste and a tunnel to/from the top of Oberlech lift! The staff, so well trained, efficient(it IS Austria!), and so friendly helpful...just rally nice! The food, out of this world. The Gala dinner on Thursday fantastic. Huge choice for breakfast and no request too difficult for the staff and chef.... The ambience, warm and friendly. The suite, perfect size for a couple, incredible view of pistes and Rufikopf top. The Spa and pool, just right.
Wine VERY expensive, bottle starting around 40 euros and no house, open or by the glass wine.
Wonderful staff, great food, and best location. Had the time of my life. Thank you for a excellent stay.
