9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast served by a smiling host. Just the thing to get your day off on a good start. Helpful in getting my bike locked in the garage. Town an easy five minute walk away.
Cons: Room was quite hot and I had to leave the window open fully. Got the trains and church bells loud and clear.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Better than most of the hotels in small cities in Germany.
Cons: During the summer the room was quite warm, but I guess it happens with all the hotels in the area.

Pros: Apologised for incorrect room allocation and upgraded to suite. Parking outside and cheap. Good breakfast and dinner.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality is great. The location with vue on the Rhine is impressive. Excellent opportunity for making a walk of ca 8 km on the opposite side of the Rhine (cross the Rhine by ferry). Excellent indoor swimming pool.
Cons: Fantastic hotel run by a family with a tradition in hospitality. One observation: the bed pillows are too thick. We will be back.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The bar and restaurant were great. The staff were all very kind and helpful. The room had a beautiful view of the Rhine. We loved our stay at Bellevue Rheinhotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Best Hotel I met
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location and old world charm. Room was comfortable.
Cons: Terrible to no internet connection for iPhones throughout the hotel and they were not able to solve the problem. I find this unacceptable in 2019. Female staff was very friendly but male staff far less.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: the view and the building
Cons: the wifi didn't work on my macbook and on a work trip that is critical.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is friendly and helpful. You can feel a family spirit behind. The food is great for the value. We liked the wellness area and the pool. We would definitely come back here next time we’re in the region.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was delicious, the staff was extremely nice and all in all the hotel is one of the most comfortable we've been to. The room was nice and clean and we appreciated the welcome coffee
Cons: the locks on the doors need to be repaired
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Right on the river.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: this was the second time in 6 months we had stayed at the Lilie it does what it says on the box. The location is great, the breakfast good, the staff friendly. The only downside, is the church bells sounding every 15 mins throughout the night which made sleeping difficult, but you cannot blame the hotel for that.
Cons: The bells not sounding every 15 mins throughout the night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The river view from the balcony! We stayed in the last few days of October so we kept the balcony door shut at night to keep out the cold and did not hear any noise from the river traffic mentioned by other reviewers. Also there might have been fewer board in general in late October, I'm not so sure. Every staff I met was very polite and helpful. I was not able to speak a lick of German but the receptionist (owner?) spoke very good English and made me feel very welcome :) The VRM guest ticket, which is given by every hotel in Boppard is very useful. You get to travel on all the buses and trains in the VRM region for free!
Cons: We stayed for 4 nights, so we found the breakfast selection to be a little limited and wished there were more variety. If you're only staying for a night or two it shouldn't be a problem! As other reviewers have mentioned, the Boppard church bells ring at every hour and they can be heard throughout Boppard (I'm not kidding). You won't hear the bells much if you stay in the rooms facing the river (the ones with the balcony), but if you stay in a room facing the town square (like the Superior Double Room) they can be really loud and distracting at night... Bring ear plugs!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The visit was our third time to Boppard the second in this hotel, making sure we book a balcony room overlooking the Rhine which after all must be the reason most people come to this delightful town. Judging from our room it seems there may have has been an upgrade since our last visit. Overall this old hotel is good value for money - generally friendly staff, adequate breakfast, good wifi and the evening dinner menu draws quite a few guests. A glass of wine or two on the balcony watching the unending traffic flow on the river is very relaxing. (During our stay the cross-river car/passenger ferry collided side-on with a large river barge in broad daylight. Talk about emergency services springing into action. I guess the skipper of the "guilty vessel" may have limited future employment opportunities on the river.)
Cons: Our shower cubicle was quite small and may prove difficult to get into for "larger people". However the hotel is limited to what it can do given the constraints of original brick walls etc. From memory, our prior room from a couple of years ago had a larger bathroom so I guess all rooms may be different. At breakfast a lot of food can be quickly eaten by the guests - ourselves included - and the kitchen was not coping well whilst we were there. It was just a matter of waiting for, or asking for, resupplies. Only one coffee machine (excellent coffee) and a single domestic toaster. Most guests will come by car. The street in front of the hotel is one-way (west) so a bit of homework on Google maps will not go astray. Also it is only "street public parking". Must be nightmare in high season. It is cheap at 4euros for 24 hours but you need to first get a space! For check-in you can stop in front of the hotel to unload luggage but our initial park was about 300 metres away. On our final day we got a park in front of the hotel and didn't move the car! This of course stops you from driving to other worthwhile areas.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We used this hotel as a base for daily hiking. We are in love! The room was a view on the Rhine, so what an amazing way to spend each night and or morning with a drink or a cup of coffee. This area is so peaceful, but you can watch all the boat traffic on the Rhine. The breakfast buffet each morning was the best of our trip, great selection, fresh selections, and the local bread...oh, yum! We would definitely stay here again. We did not use their restaurant but looks ok if you want pizza. There were great restaurant selection's nearby and a charming town. We will be back.
Cons: We didn't get bad service at check-in, it just seems they could have been a little more outgoing, but no real issues at all. The shower was very small. Not sure what they can do, working with the space they have, just very small.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room, excellent staff.
Cons: WiFi signal was very poor.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Second time and still a very nice place to stay
Cons: A little dated
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay despite the gloomy weather, loved the little top floor balcony overlooking the river.

5,0 Okay
Pros: Old world charm.
Cons: Not much to do in the area.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: This is our third visit to this hotel. The rooms are very nice and everything was clean. Breakfast is good (very nice staff in the breakfast room) and the Spa area is very nice. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant this time, however, the previous two visits, the food was good.
Cons: The decor is getting old. It's very ornately decorated but it now seems a bit kitschy. Minor annoyance with check-in, taking three tries to get me the class of room I had booked. The bigger annoyance is that this is a Kurhotel (Wellness) and smoking indoors is allowed. The hallways smell a bit of smoke and there were actually people smoking in the bar....very unpleasant and kept us from going to the bar the second night of our stay.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Magnificent historic hotel. Brilliant location. The room was very good and the bathroom superb. Staff was excellent except for one surly, unsming chap in the breakfast room.
Cons: A tall, swarthy, unsmiling, arrogant staff member in the breakfast lounge. Considering everyone else was so friendly, so decent, it was a let down that this chap could be so arrogant over nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the spa amenities.
Cons: Didn’t care for the memory foam mattress.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Staff and Breakfast.
Cons: This is an old resort slowly coming to an end. Terrible furniture, worst sheets. One room smelled, another extremely dark (had to upgrade it). Bathrooms were fine. Only for older people interested in hot spring.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: beautiful area and hotel very plush and comfortable
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable hotel and staff .
Cons: Some of the food at dinner could have been better. Duck I had was inedible.
6,7 Good
Pros: Exclusive room was big with comfortable bathroom. Warm swimming pool and saunas were great. Hotel is beautiful (only from the outside though).
Cons: Welcome was very cold. We were not given basic info like when and where’s breakfast served. Staff speaks basically only German, we were treated like second category guests. Very chaotic breakfast - tables not ready, missing food (eventually good quality though), staff not very helpful. Hotel filled with old people. Overall too outdated and too expensive for what you get. Parking very problematic.

Pros: Very nice staff
6,7 Good
Pros: good breakfast, cute terrace, large room
Cons: no air conditioning, no refrigerator in room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good selection for breakfast: fruit, several cereals, several breads, several cheeses, several meats, several spreads (jam, honey, etc), scrambled egg and bacon, boiled eggs, coffee. Large breakfast room. Wonderful garden courtyard for dinner, with candles and lights, flowers and vines. Our room looked onto the courtyard but was private enough. Wide choice for dinner, mainly traditional German dishes. The location allows easy access to the banks of the Mosel, the old town and the banks of the Rhein. Cycle paths are easily accessed. It is on a bus route but fairly quiet. There are local shops, including 2 supermarkets, within easy reach along with other restaurants. Parking was on site, and free.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good but the location meant a 1 hour walk into the centre Good car park
10,0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing

7,0 Good
Pros: Check in was smooth. Breakfast was good. The room was clean and cosy. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: The price is too high for the city. The location is right next to a train station so there is noise late night or early morning which can disturb your sleep.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean business hotel at great location.
Cons: Rooms facing bus station could be little loud.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were terrific. The bed and shower were really good. The train station was nearby.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and clean. Good breakfast!
Cons: At times there was a bad smell from the drainage.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice but small. Great breakfast.
Cons: Heating and cooling system did not work very well. Either too hot or too cold.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The team at the reception and the staff for the breakfast were very friendly. The breakfast was rich and lacking nothing. The superior bedrooms were quite and comfortable and also included free parking. The distance to the city center was moderate, but taxis were available at the train station in front of the hotel.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Staff was nice and helpful, the hotel bar is a pleasant environment to relax. Parking is in a public garage, but has direct access to hotel which makes life easier. Location is very good.
Cons: The room was very, very warm. The AC didn't work properly so it was very hard to sleep in such a hot room. This was so bothersome that we even left one night before we had paid for because sleeping there would be very unpleasant so we'd rather leave sooner than stay there. The room and bed smelled a bit, could be vomit or feces, or both. The room looked clean, but it didn't feel clean. The room was a double room but the toilet had only one set of towels. The towels smelled a lot, maybe some product they use to clean it. Cleaning service came too late, after we returned from our daily activities (around 17h), which meant that the room stayed empty all day and was not cleaned. The problem was that the towels were not replaced so we got back and found the wet towels still on the floor. The hot & smelly room made the stay there unpleasant. This isn't the reception staff's fault, they were nice and helpful. Who's at fault here is the manager.
3,7 Mediocre
Cons: No coffee making and non Steam iron in a business traveler hotel room charging 135 euros in Germany is a serious issue they need to fix
6,0 Good
Cons: Poor Wi Fi Service Auto charge for Breakfast Small rooms

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Well I liked the attention to detail in interior of hotel and room, spotless clean, hospitality and friendliness of personal. This hotel woul pass easily a four star test, she only downgrade is the lack of parking places in the neighborhood. There are two parking spots, not even that far however with extremely uneasy and complicated way to drive over. As a plus that compensated the parking labyrinth was the owners personal visit and friendly greeting at the breakfast. Value for price suitable.
Cons: The parking posibilites and the labyrinth alike, complicated way to get there.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were part of a group of 8 people who were riding bikes up the Moselle for the next week and the hotel was excellent for our one night in Koblenz. Location was perfect for arrival from Airport, and eventual transfer to our boat on the River.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpfull and friendly. Also our Juniour Suite was fabulous!
Cons: Could work on parking, but due to lack of spase it is hard. And I do understand
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Parking space. Expensive and steep hill
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Big room, clean, nice big TV, free and easy to setup Wifi, good location. Seperate toilet and bathroom.
Cons: For me personally, matrass was too soft. The interior is a bit dated, its a family-ran style hotel. Nothing wrong with it but not as modern as G-Hotel. Breakfast is good but at 13 EUR overpriced.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location, lovely walk through the forest down to Bad Ems. Characterful building.
Cons: Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice for those who need a cup of tea to wake up!
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: The room was spacious and the view is amazing.
Cons: The hotel is not easily find. When we reach the place an old lady was expecting us but she did not speak even a word in English. We couldn't ask her a question even with the translator. The mattresses and the pillows (only 2, too large and too soft) were flat and not comfortable. The breakfast the first day was better but with no sweet German stuff at all. The second day it took a lot of time to serve it and they forgot my boiled egg and one of the ladies of course she did not speak English at all. If you are German the hotel is friendly, if not, do not go there. The restaurant is not open every day, take that into account because is not easy to go to Bad Ems center and find a Restaurant. We went walking through the mountain which was nice but if you are not young or fit, you need to grab the car again...
7,1 Good
Pros: Setting
Cons: Noisy room number 4 sounded like a freezer coming on & of a all night.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I really like the position of the hotel. Nice view! beware that the bar and restaurant are not open on al days...
Cons: I booked for one person, The hotel wasn't full. but still got room nr1. without a nice view.... was better to let the guest stay in the best view room when not completely booked out...

Pros: All the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome
Cons: Unfortunately, the lift wasn’t working during most of our visit, which meant 8 flights of steps up to our room. The wi-fi wasn’t working on the first night of our arrival, leaving family back in Australia wondering if we had arrived safely.

Pros: Excellent location, on Rhine. Very attractive hotel inside. Great atmosphere and decoration. Elevator. Parking outside with fee 4€ per day. Good breakfast, beautiful room looking out on Rhine. Comfortable, good size room and bathroom. Good shower. Good lighting. Excellent staff, very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Limited tv stations, no English.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location is perfect. Beds are clean and comfortable.
Cons: Room floor is covered with carpet and it was unfortunately with many dirt marks on it and giving a bad smell for whole room. And toilet was not cleaned properly before our check in. And the breakfast was little bit disappointing. There was no egg for example.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent friendly service. Warm cozy and homely ambience. Very convenient location.
Cons: Nothing
7,9 Good
Pros: Superb location and room with balcony overlooking the river. Staff all very friendly and helpful - manager even provided us with free bikes for a day and went to the trouble of setting them up for us - many thanks!
Cons: Slightly pricey, but considering helpful staff and superb location, value for money was good. Had to pay for meals / extras in cash - card payments were not accepted here (except for the accommodation), in common with most places in area.

Pros: Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Also the fact that you get free local bus and train travel was amazing.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very clean, classic renovated. The restaurant is particularly beautiful and overviews the garden. We had new towels in the bathroom, which was nice. The employees are very friendly and welcoming. Nice walking distance to the center and everything there is to visit in the city. We didn't try the breakfast, but they say it's all rich and fresh.

Pros: Great walkable location in town. Clean and spacious rooms.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staffs, room, view, quality everything was great.
7,0 Good
Pros: Great location, large warm room with adjustable heating.
Cons: Rather unvaried breakfast. No electric kettle in the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We’ve booked the apartment in the guesthouse and it was excellent. Travelling with a baby, we appreciated the separate living area with a big comfy sofa to watch the tv and not sitting in a dark room once the baby goes to sleep. The whole place was sparkly clean, the beds comfy and not squeaky like in other hotels, the staff super friendly, welcoming and helpful and breakfast in the morning delicious. the location was also perfect, right in the middle of the town! If we could, we would stay for another day, but unfortunately the room was already booked up again.
Cons: The only thing we missed was the kettle and the tray with teas/coffees you usually get. Few things could be touched up like a peeling wallpaper on a corner, or broken seal at the shower door, which made it leak on the floor a bit, but honestly these are just the minor things which didn’t bothered us in the slightest! (Thought I’d just mention it for the hotel?!)

Pros: The warm and friendly welcome of the staff.
Cons: Breakfast could have been a bit better.

Pros: Cosy place with very helpful staff. Clean and spacious room with fast Wi-Fi. Breakfast was above expectations. Self-service bar with board games is a nice addition to a relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing specific. I personally don't like separate toilet and bathroom but for some guests it could be more convinient. Keep in mind that reception does not work during afternoon time. Plan your activities accordingly.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Satisfactory breakfast. Huge room, comfortable bed. Absolute quiet surrounding, all you hear is the flushing of the next room. Parking available for free, however the space is narrow and only for the experienced driver. Host extremely welcoming!!!
Cons: Parking space. May be it is a good idea to split the space in less places.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable, clean room and all the amenities were provided.
Cons: Not applicable

Pros: A very nice and comfortable place to stay for a weekend retreat to Bad Ems. I stayed for a weekend in late January. The owner was very friendly despite my poor command of German and able to communicate important points of the place to me in English. :) Breakfast selection was excellent and it made for great convenience as there are not a lot of choices for breakfast outside in the town at this time of year.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owner Ernst at the front desk was wonderful. He spoke English and was very helpful providing directions and recommendations for dinner. The dinner was one of the best in our 2 week trip to Germany. The room was large, very clean and comfortable. The shower was small, but many are in Europe. The bonus was there are 2 bowling alleys downstairs and my husband and I had a blast bowling while drinking a couple of beers that are in the refrigerator that you can take and pay later. The breakfast was good, coffee excellent. We enjoyed walking around the town starting at the hotel. So cute and everyone was friendly. We really fell in love with Bad Ems and would definitely come back here and to this hotel again.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I returned to this hotel many times. It is in excellent location, clean and comfortable.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the location. Super friendly staff, a good European breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Room is simple, but not lacking in anything. Convenient to walk to the major tourist attractions with free parking in their courtyard. Seems they have bike storage services for bikers too. Dinner recommendation was excellent.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.

Pros: Very near the railway station.
Cons: We were a bit far from the old town.
7,1 Good
Pros: Well kept place. Bed was good and firm. Location was superb. Staff was kind.
Cons: The internet access was poor. I suggest that the hotel owners limit one device per person rather than four per login. I was constantly kicked out of the connection and had to sign in repeatedly...as much as 3 or 4 times per hour.... breakfast was just ok at 5€.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location of hotel to station is good but to the centre of town is 20 minutes plus walking, room was very large and comfortable, breakfast was just what you need to get you on the go and for €5 is a good price, staff where good, all in all a nice hotel.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is always so nice! They have a sense of humor, and they are kind, and they remember you. They even offered me their bike, when all the bike rentals were sold out. (I did find a rental bike with Ruckwind in the Gemuesestrasze in the end, check it out.) The room is gigantic, very spacious, and everything is clean and comfortable. Place to put your stuff in the shower, big closet for your clothes, table and chairs, lots of light, etc. Big fat pillows, good bed, no noise. About 1 km to the points of interest, like Deutsche Eck. Parking: free after 14 pm on Friday - there is a lot across from the Aldi. Otherwise, pay for a ticket, which is not so expensive. This hotel is the best kept secret for the last minute traveller!
Cons: Nothing really... There is an elevator. There is a good breakfast for 5 euro. The area is safe. There is free parking on the weekend. It's a well kept place, harmonious and clean. Nothing to dislike about it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good place to stay
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Near towncentre just a 10 min walk, shower was great.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Whilst called an hotel it would be better described as a guest house and has a family feel. The owners are very friendly, welcoming and helpful and serve a very good and varied cold breakfast buffet. The hotel is bright and spotlessly clean and the bedroom spacious and comfortable. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the railway and bus stations in a very quiet location. It is perhaps 15 or 20 minutes walk into the centre of the old town where there are any number of places to eat (and plenty of shopping) and a short distance from there to the Rhine and the Moselle and their confluence at Deutsches Eck.

Pros: We always receive a warm welcome and the service is friendly and efficient. Breakfast is delicious with homemade jam and fresh fruits being available as well as the usual offerings. We always get a good nights sleep and find the location perfect since just off the motorway but not too noisy. We regularly stay here and would recommend it.
Cons: Nothing in particular. If you are looking for a huge widescreen TV and walking distance to Boppard then this is not the place for you.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely clean room and friendly staff; bed was ok; bathroom was perhaps a bit on the small side, but great anyway!
Cons: parking has to be paid for (discounted rate at subterranean garage) and that wasn't very clearly mentioned in the hotel's description. Room soundproofing was not that great (easy to hear someone shower in the other room).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent central location, and a charming building. Our room had a view directly over the park. Lovely breakfast, all fresh and large variety. Friendly and very helpful staff, all real characters. They offer an efficient and inexpensive laundry service. Nice cooling system for the hot weather.

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful which accounts for a great deal in making a guest feel comfortable. The breakfast (included in the price) was very good.

Pros: Very friendly family led hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: What a great find. As the crow lies it looks closer to the city than it actually is, as it sits on a hill overlooking the city and on the other side of the river. However. it has a fabulous view and we decided just to stay in the hotel for dinner and a few Drinks. Great decision. The food was amazing the local wine fabulous and the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend this hotel and the people who run it.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The view of Koblenz from the hotel location is breathtaking. Although the hotel is across the river from Koblenz centre, it is well worth the taxi fare for the views of the city. Highly recommend.
Cons: Some missed communication meant our host, Bruce, was only expecting 9 guests when we were actually 10, however, Bruce and his charming wife quickly made the necessary arrangements to accommodate us all.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The stunning view from the window and outside the hotel
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We love the views from this hotel. It is a little out of the way and can be a bit difficult to figure out where it is but well worth getting to. We also like that there is a restaurant with the hotel.
Cons: Nothing that we can think of at the moment.
