Have used this hotel the last two years and found it a very convenient setting.

Pros:Location was right where we needed to be. Parking was excellent. Everything was clean enough, everything worked fine, beds were as good as anywhere else. Nothing to complain about, I saw no spiders, as others have suggested. Our room did not smell, our bed was quite comfortable. Staff was friendly enough, I wasn't expecting to be hugged by a grandmother, just checked in with a smile. I got that. I felt perfectly safe, saw no reason not to.
Cons:One minor gripe...... their water conservation policy made towel use very inconvenient. No bath mat to step out onto a slippery marble tile bathroom floor, and only the bare minimum of available towels, dirty one, you live with it.

Pros:There was nothing I liked. The manager was accomodating when we spoke to her about our concerns and left a day early to stay at another hotel in the area.
Cons:The room was dirty and smelled. The elevator was filthy. People actually live there and were loitering on the front steps all hours of the day and night. Stains on the box springs. I felt unsafe the entire less than 24 hours I was there.

Pros:The Landmark Inn is suitable if you have something planned in the area and do not want to spend a lot of money for a one or two overnight stays, it is reasonably priced.
Cons:I did not like the fact that the facility allowed smoking, the second you hit the lobby yo could smell a cigarette odor that was mixed in with a poor attempt of hiding it (could not identify the cigarette odor right away). By the time I hit my room on the 7th floor it was clearly cigarettes I was smelling and when I called the front desk they informed me they had a smoking area on the lower level. I guess I was a little surprised in this day and age that you smell cigarettes when you stay at a hotel, I thought those days were over. The room was clean and free from cigarettes odor, although the bed was a little low to the ground for my taste but I had a good night sleep. My room overlooked the town of Laconia, they should re-name this place to ghost town. The staff talked to you when you approached the desk but other than that they never made eye contact with you when you came and went through the lobby. The location had a number of Auto Zones, chain pharmacies and gas stations but if you want an alcoholic beverage your limited to "The Holy Grail" and "God Forbid" your there on a Sunday night. The only plus + I have for this place is the price, I would never stay here again, the price was not worth the return stay. The Continental Breakfast was sub par, your better off going to Dejavu on Court Street and getting a GREAT BREAKFAST.

Pros:The price and location were great. Staff was super friendly. Room was a good size. The view was very nice. It's a nice cheap place to stay. If it wasn't for the awful bed, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Cons:The bed was the most uncomfortable thing I'v ever slept on. Honestly, that was the worst part about the room. Not sure if the shower head was broken, or if it was supposed to be how it was, but it didn't shoot out streams of water, it just misted the water out. It's hard to describe, but I ended up taking a bath instead. Breakfast was, ok. Just cereal, bagels, english muffins, juice and coffee. Walls are super thin, could hear our neighbor having a conversation at normal voice volume. TV Remote didn't work the TV. It worked the cable box, but would not turn tv On/Off or control the volume.
