Everything was outstanding. Excellent staff and service. Great meals. Superb location.
I liked everything.
The customer service was exceptional from the moment that we arrived at the property. The room was very spacious, and the staff was extremely friendly. The dinner and breakfast were extremely well thought out, and they made sure to address any dietary restrictions as best as they could. The overall hospitality was top notch, and the best way to wrap up our time in Kyoto.
It was a very nice and complete Japanese traditional experience. The full traditional japanese dinner and breakfast was great. We also liked to experience the public onsen available in the ryokan. The ryokan is forign friendly, they have instructions for wearing a yukata correctly and on how to use the public onsen. We felt very comfortable, It was a great experience
Beautiful authentic ryokan. Room was large and spacious. Service was good and food was fantastic.
Wifi was horrifically slow for current tech age. The hot springs were dated and smelled mouldy. Could use an occasional airing. Tv only had Japanese channels.
The service was first class throughout. The staff from front of house to those serving food were friendly, polite and spoke good English. We had a kaiseki dinner in our room which was excellent. The location is also great with easy access to the main parts of Gion.
Nothing. I marked comfort down slightly just because the bed is a futon which is not the most comfortable for westerners, but what we expected in a ryokan.
