Food & drinks could have been better
Availability of room, Decor & balcony Dinner by the pool lobby veranda
They told us we did not have breakfast with our room. We ate at denny's across the street. Our shade would not close on the 3 rd floor letting in light making it hard tp nap. We put in a request to have it looked at and when we got back from our meal the shade was semi repaired and the bedside table, lamp, clock were in piles on our two twin beds. We had to move them off of our clean linen and push the beds back apart. We did mention this to our front desk clerk in the morning but he did not seem to think this was an inconvenience. Forced valet parking. difficult taking things out of the car. Wish there had been a half bath that was not in the room.
The facilities are great and the hotel is beautiful. The pool separation to adults only and families is a great idea!
The floor wasn't clear.
The pools. The close shopping. The friendliness and understanding of front desk. The quickness with replacing refringerator. The quite. Beach shuffle is kool. Even though beaches smell bad.wow. Way bad stink. You can get to the beach without any problem.
Refringerator was broken when first got room. Had to be without til replaced. About a day. Soda and water got warm. A little inconvenient for about a day. But was replaced which was great but shouldn't have been that way at check in. Should have been checked before. hotel help broke handle on suit case when unloading car and moving into room. They pulled it out to far and now can't put back down. Will make it hard to pack car back up. Wife is with friends all women who can't fix the problem. Otherwise should be more careful with guest stuff. Beawre of the houseless living right next door in woods. Lots of trash around those woods. Property is clean but surrounding are kind of messy. Houseless people wondering around. Houseless people trash....lots.
Lovely hotel, you can forget you are in America while sitting by the pool.
All of the staff were incredible and very friendly apart from one. He spent most of his time on his phone, sat at the bar and it felt like us sitting at the bar and drinking was a burden - we did however only see him once during our stay.
Explore the Florida Bay away from the bustling Key West area at the Parrot Key Hotel and Resort. Travelers can experience a hidden getaway as they enjoy the lush landscape across the five-acre waterfront property, a wide front porch with rocking chairs, and a beautiful beach not far away.
Located on the Florida Bay away from the entertainment district, Parrot Key’s quiet neighborhood offers a welcoming atmosphere. While the hotel is hidden among the lush grounds, there are still stores like Publix and Home Depot a few blocks away. A free shuttle is offered to and from Smathers Beach; however, Duval, where the main entertainment and dining is located, is accessible by a short car or taxi ride.
The getaway hotel is accompanied by four pools spread across the property, a tropical-style restaurant and tiki bar, and a small gym. The hotel offers concierge services for guests such as parasailing, boating, kayaking, tennis, gold, and jet skiing. Bicycles, scooters, and water vehicles are a great way to get around the property and surrounding areas.
The 148-rooms at Parrot Key Hotel and Resort are designed like townhouses and condos since the property was originally meant to be a townhome community. The rooms are decorated with brightly colored Bahamian-influenced décor and range from studios to three-bedroom suites. Standard and convenient room amenities are provided for travelers, and some rooms offer water views.
With a brand new, refined, and completely refreshed look, Parrot Key Hotel and Resort stays true to the original Key West spirit while providing an island getaway for travelers.
