Very comfortable and in the most amazing location, loads of walks from the doorstep. We had our dog with us and he loved it here too. Excellent breakfast included. A good variety of beers on tap, we ate in the bar every night, lots of very tasty vegetarian options for us.
We liked everything
Food very good, nice bar, hillside views, very pleasant stay
Bathroom a little small but adequate
Very freindly cosy in meals great beer garden with lovely views.Great place to do walking from
There was nothing to dislike
The cleanliness of the place and friendliness of staff. Good food etc..
Nothing. All good
Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, helpful staff and very good restaurant meals. Superbly located looking down towards Keswick and across to Blencathra. Nice gardens and plenty of outside seating if the weather is ok.
Sometimes it's difficult to get parked in the car park itself but you can usually find a place on the road outside. Struggled a bit with the wi-fi connection. No other gripes except the weather which is obviously out of their control. If you can't stand the rain, don't go to the lakes.
Just 2 miles from Keswick, The Coledale is a 19th-century country inn with 2 traditional bars and elegant rooms. In a peaceful hillside location, the Inn has ample free parking and free WiFi throughout. Located in both the Georgian and Victorian parts of the hotel, all of the en suite rooms at The Coledale Inn have tea/coffee facilities and TVs. A full English breakfast is provided Both the Victorian Bar and the Georgian Bar have a fine selection of traditional and local ales. Situated above Braithwaite Village, The Coledale is 20 miles from junction 40 of the M6. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas.
