The location of the Dan Panorama Jerusalem is excellent, not far from the Old City, as well as close to other very beautiful parts of the city. The hotel facilities are beautiful, and our rooms were lovely. We also appreciated having access to fresh juice and water by the glass in the lobby, and having a synagogue onsite for Friday night Shabbat services.
The food wasn't quite to our taste. Although plentiful, the breakfast was too much of the same thing, and everything tasted the same after a while. Friday night dinner in the dining room was extremely expensive and the food was also way too much of the same thing - Moroccan and other Eastern style cuisine with no variation. Also, we found it strange that the hotel provides complimentary bottles of water for the rooms on the first day but during every other day we had to order additional bottles from the bar and pay for them. Israel is extremely hot in the summer, and most hotels refresh the complimentary bottles daily. There was no mini bar even though it was advertised.
Location, Dtaff very helpful, Roof top pool
Restaurant for breakfast very dark with black carpet and walls! Cornflakes poor quality and should have better pool bar service..had to go down to lobby bar in my swimsuit to get a drink by the pool
Guest relations were not helpful at all! I booked 3 rooms and in one we needed a sleeper couch. Sleeper couch was not made up and we had to call reception 3 times to get some help. Eventually help arrived but we had to make the bed ourselves?! - not great service at all!
We booked 3 night stay which included 2 nights booked on booking.com + 1 night on Expedia. Although we were assured that we are checked in for 3 nights , room key was deactivated after second night and we wasted another 30 min on explanation and key reactivation. Rooms were not clean properly: furniture was not dusted, floor not vacuumed, dirty wine glasses/dishes not removed, coffee not replenished. In general, it looks like only bath counter was wiped and bed was made.
Great lifts. Superb breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff.
There’s not too much to dislike
