Excellent location, close walk to War museum and Ben Thanh markets plus more. Ali (security/porter) and Max were an excellent help and always greeted us with a smile. All the staff made our stay great. The roof top bar and pool are a great place to relax and wind down from a busy day.
Liked it all.
The location of the property was good as was the pool and bar.
When checking out we were charged $110 USD to completely replace the sheets, blanket and pillows due to having got fake tan on them. (When they could have just been washed not completely thrown out) This was such an expensive charge and when we asked them to show us why it costs so much they wouldn’t and said that it’s hotel policy. We asked them to show us this policy but they said it’s not written anywhere. As the language barrier made it hard to argue we paid the charge and emailed the hotel to ask further into why it costs so much but we have not received a response. Very poor service on their behalf and we would like to be contacted to revise these charges. Very very unhappy.
Breakfast very good. Cleaners very understanding and friendly. Rooftop bar staff lovely. Door staff very helpful, friendly and understanding that we had travelled half way round the world to visit Vietnam for the first time.
Majority of staff were very helpful however one or two were rather poker faced at times. WiFi did not work on upper floors.
The hotel staff are welcoming and gracious. The hotel smells amazing and is truly “zen” - even the elevator is silent! We loved the location as we could walk everywhere and it was an easy pick-up spot for the tours we took. (And, we don’t normally take tours but we did this trip and loved Street Food Man tour with Minh/Steven.... and Chi Chu tunnels with Cung.) The roof top pool is small but delivers in that it has an amazing view and is perfect for soaking and jets on your tired joints (don’t expect to do laps or anything like that). We loved the bar and just relaxing there before and after our time out and about in HCMC. Also, the inclusive breakfast was easy and had options for whatever you want - pastries, fresh eggs, set meals in various styles, and fresh yogurt. I love strong coffee and the coffee was delicious!
The rooms - while zen - are dark. The lighting is dim. And the shower leaks all over no matter how you adjust the curtain. There is a drain so no big deal but we were pretty self-conscience about it on the first night. We soaked through the towels. Otherwise all was perfect!
1/Swimming pools on rooftop were amazing, it was great to chill there, nice view on city from both sides 2/ Good room, facilities, breakfast, supermarket and market in 2 mins of walking, 20 mins from airport 3/Great idea with afternoon tea, snacks and piano live music 4/We took one dinner there in restaraunt (same with breakfast), everything was tasty, but stuff could speak better English. However, like in the whole Vietnam.
1/I didn't catch why firstly deposit blocks on card and then during check-in i paid full stay amount, some days after deposit have been returned anyway. Strange system. 2/the construction works started at 6 am, we were after long flights (room with window, but i think without window you will hear the samy drilling and hammering), so we slept untill 10 am strongly, but i heard everything.. 3/Bathroom has glass (not curtain) so to open faucet to bath baby you need to bend far enough to reach it 4/I confused by porter. okey, he helped so much with baggage but i don't need someone to open the door in front of me when I go for the walk, so strange why door doesn't have motion sensor..
