best hotel ever we stayed in VIP room with balcony and bathtubs. can not ask for more fresh sheets room is huge and clean we enjoyed French garden and the bath is just amazing.
the message is under Reno and I had to taxi to another location for message but taxi fees paid by hotel
Location, cleanliness and the porters were very helpful & polite
The restaurant - service was poor and staff were very petty (i.e. you can’t have more than 1 teabag per person) Buffet breakfast was a disappointment with limited choice. The free High Tea was a joke with only select counted pieces provided. The free minibar was misleading as all other hotels we stayed would give us 2 bottles of 500ml water per room per day, here they also provided 2 bottles but only 350ml each per day.
I enjoyed the area where there was a large variety of restaurants, banks and mini-Marts. The theme of the hotel slightly captured the Japanese culture but minimal due to the space (ex: hallways had little zen gardens). The breakfast was also a treat and organized. My most favorite aspect of the property was a staff member name Ali Nguyen. When it comes to hospitality (and in life in general), the company that is present makes the biggest determining factor for me. Being around great company outweighs the environment, whereas being surrounded by negative interpersonal energy can make the most heavenly place uncomfortable. Mr. Ali Nguyen showed a very genuine sense of support, politeness, and attendance to all the little things (he gave me a chair to sit outside while I was standing to smoke a cigarette - and many more). He reminded us to be safe and cared for our belongings as it were his own. Mr. Ali Nguyen deserves a promotion if he continues to show this kind of professional ethics, as I am sure he would because again, this is natural for him.
The check in staff was helpful, however there were times of high demand in which caused them stress and distraction. As a director of multiple companies I sincerely understand and work with my own staff through this on a daily basis. At the same time it is very important to keep the fundamentals of the specific role itself, which in this case is having a welcoming energy despite the face of intense, pressured moments. Overall though they resolved one of my billing problems well with completion.
The staff went out of the way for us. Especially Max was wonderful.
Unfortunately, there is construction work going on next door (I would predict it will take place for a long time). And so there is either noise from the street side or from the construction work. However, It seems it is hard to find a calm room to stay in no matter where you are in Saigon. The staff did their best to find us the most quiet room and so it was a pleasant experience.
The staff at the restaurant, the front desk, the concierge, the bar and the swimming pool, i.e. all the staff was extremely kind and ready to help. All was very professional on top. Free afternoon tea was not just a tea. We were served the fruits, cakes and traditional sweets which we enjoyed a lot. Everything in the mini bar was free. Since our flight was at midnight, they even offered a free shower after check-out, so we could refresh ourselves after a long day before going to the airport.
We stayed in a room without window and I might take the one with windows next time.
