Nice car, poorly administerdPros:The Yardis had only 80 miles on it, and was in mint condition. The people at the Davis location were very nice.Cons:I had to wait 45 minutes for the car to arrive from the Sacramento airport, and it arrived with only a gallon of gas in it instead of a full tank. Though they said I could return it empty, the vagaries of the trip led me to returning it half full, and thus I gave them $15 worth of gasoline.Reviewed Apr 4 2017

location closed without giving me noticeCons:When I went to drop-off my car, the Hertz office where I picked up the car was no longer there. It had suddenly changed to a used car dealership. No notice was ever sent to me. No sign of where I was supposed to drop off the car. I had to call the 1800 number to find out then had to drive an extra 30 minutes to the new drop-off location.Reviewed Jul 19 2018

Completely screwed by Hertz. Never AgainPros:I reserved the car and expected there to be a car for me. Hertz called two hours before I was to pick up and said basically "we don't have a car for you....screw you.....we might have one in a couple days. And now I know that if you dont PAY for it when you reserve it....you really have nothing. Worst experience ever. Ended up costing my twice as much with Budget. $600Reviewed Dec 27 2016

Pros:The hertz staff was nor friendly, I paid for a corolla or similar and I got the tiniest small car. They were out of office for 1 hour when I went to return the car. Worst experience ever.Reviewed Feb 14 2017

The car was ok but the service was bad.Cons:The Hertz office was closed at 2 when we arrived and we waited for over 1/2 hour before they arrived, even though the sign said they were out to lunch between 12 & 1. Also, the car was very muddy on the outside.Reviewed May 9 2017

Horrible experienceCons:When we got to Hertz to pick up our car, the salesperson said "oh, well, we don't have any cars." My husband, completely confused said, "what? How can that be? We reserved a car online and I have the confirmation paperwork." The Hertz employee then said, "Look. We *dont* have any cars. If you really wanted a car, you should have called our location ahead of time to make sure that we had some." What. The. Heck? Since when do you need to reserve a car over the phone AND ONLINE?!?! Clearly, the Hertz employee had messed up somehow, forgetting to check the online reservations before releasing all the cars that day. Still, he blamed this situation on US? It was ludicrous. He did not even apologize. Not once. We won't be renting from Hertz in the future.Reviewed Sep 2 2017

ScamPros:NothingCons:Dishonest practice of not honoring the vehicle that was reserved. Management would not accommodate the price in which the reservation was agreed and made at. Poorly managed lot; extensive wait; rude staff. I walked off the lot and called an UBER.Reviewed Sep 2 2017

NightmarePros:NothingCons:They did not have the size car we reserved. Our only option was to drive the rental car to another location and exchange it. When we artived the new location found a tiny chip on the windshield we overlooked on the initiak wslk around, so they said we had to fork out money or file an insurance claim before they gave us the car we originally asked for! Im still mad thinking about it!Reviewed Feb 22 2017
