Pros: I loved everything: the modern and cozy room, the friendly staff (they took time to inform us on everything even if they were busy), the extremely rich and tasty breakfast, the terrace in front of our room, the very organised parking area nearby (only 7€ a day) and of course the location close to the best restaurants of the city (I especially recommend peskesi!) We'll come back again!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, close to main areas of town for shopping and eating, nice rooms, nice roof terrace overlooking the Aegean
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful.and friendly. The breakfast was excellent - especially since they offered the local pastry - bougatsa, a custard filled filo specialty of the area. Also, fresh squeezed juices. Thank you, Kastro, this was my third stay here and I will continue ciming back.
Cons: There were stairs up to the lobby and no one to help with luggage. We travel lightly but, as seniors, we could use a little help.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and great breakfast.
Cons: Our room was oddly shaped and only had one small window. Sort of felt like a cruise ship. Everything else was great was just expecting a little more from the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely, really helpful and supportive. We loved the group of 3 rooms we were given close together
2,5 Mediocre
Cons: The room smell bad.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was my second time in this hotel. Nice hotel in tbe town, large rooms and bathroom, excelent breakfast, very nice people. recommended.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Good location
Cons: The cleaners open our luggage when they clean the room. I realised that on the second day of our trip and inform the people in the reception. They just ask if I loose something. Be care with your items.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness Friendly staff A good breakfast And very convient, i stayed just for one night i paid 54 euro
9,4 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was obviously loved by its management and it showed, it was immaculately clean and the rooms really made use of limited space
10,0 Excellent
Pros: nicely designed, clean rooms. Great breakfast, great location
6,3 Good
Pros: Only pors with this hotel is the geographic localisation, close to the sea and city center and the room is clean.
Cons: The cons now... I was traveling with my wife, when we got to the room the bed were separeted and when we asked to make it a double bed they refused. There were no air conditioning, small balcony (compared to the pictures before booking), the breakfast is a no go, personel is not kind to help you... I would not recommend this hotel for your stay in Heraklion but the one just beside for example (Mirabello where we had a way better time).

Pros: The hotel is fantastic We had an amazing sea view bungalow The staffs absolutely amazing, super nice and friendly. The place is very clean. The beach is beautiful with lots of activities. Large variety of food and restaurants. Definitely recommend for families.
Cons: Not much to do around the hotel and most of the activities are for kids over 3 years old.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent The food was very good although they provided gluten-free bread you have to be careful the drinks in the all inclusive package were very good quality...
Cons: I thought the city was a little bit run down
7,0 Good
Pros: Nice beach Great entertainment team (especially events for kids!) Yoga lessons Great SPA (and very receptive to feedback) Great Italian restaurant (must visit)
Cons: Too packed (difficult to find table in restaurant and too noisy) View from our room (we paid extra for a view) Staff in restaurant is tired Booked sun beds both one the beach and by the pools :( Crete taverna (outside of the hotel) was a big disappointment
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Made feel very, very welcome by ALL staff at ALL times from the guy dropping us of at our accommodation to the staff on the beech at the end of the day!
Cons: The bus journey in to the port was... too HOT ! lol
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Luxury all-inclusive resort on the beach near Heraklion. Great staff and restaurants. Facilities equaled any other restort on the island. Pick up available at airport or seaport.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Food and drinks were ok, breakfast is better than the other meals. The restaurants with the reservation are better than the common one. Also the restaurant outside the hotel was really good too. The alcoholic drinks are non known labeled but ok to drink.
Cons: The seafront rooms are not sea front actually. You can see the sea like %5 percent when you go to the balcony. Faulty naming of these rooms at all. Not good not worth to buy them, go with the cheaper ones. They are near the sea okay but not sea front or whatever.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Food is great
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We came back Agapi Beach after 3 years, and we weren't disappointed again. The resort keeps its high standards at everything, from food to facilities. It's just perfect for traveling with kids. We will come back again.
Cons: Some of the entertainment program feels a little retro (trivia quizzes, bingo, movie nights), this has some nice charm to it, but I would expect something more suitable for 2019.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very calm place, excellent to come with small children. Has it's own beach and three pools, also has good restaurants and free bars.
Cons: I would like to have an electric kettle in my room, sugar, coffee and tea bags so I could make my own coffee in the morning without going to main restaurant.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The beach, friendly staff, the food, entertainment, the spa
Cons: Wifi in the room, bed, bathroom of the room

Pros: The Staff are so welcoming, amazing breakfast, very clean hotel and facilities! Great pool and outdoor area. It’s very close to the main shopping area, great local shops and restaurants, really can’t beat the location. Will definitely be returning!
Cons: Rooms are a little on the small side, for large suitcases.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds and pillows. Good breakfast buffet selection. Friendly and courteous staff. Quick access to Heraklion city centre.
Cons: Requested a double bed, but got a twin instead. Slightly outdated hotel decor. Lifts are old and quite slow.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotell, and the staff where doing a really great hotell. Very clean and great value for the money! I really recommend this hotell!
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful
8,8 Excellent
Pros: You get exactly what you pay for, the hotel is lovely. The service at the pool bar was so fantastic and it was one of the highlights of my trip, as was the relaxing pool. The location was a short walk to lots of nice restaurants and the port.
Cons: On the day of arrival I needed to grab a phone charger out of my suitcase. One staff member told me it was okay, so I opened my suitcase in the lounge at reception, a few moments later I was approached by another staff member who got quite angry and said if I wanted to open my suitcase I would need to go down to the basement. Thankfully by the time he came over I had already grabbed what I needed and was in the process of zipping my suitcase back up, but he was extremely rude.
7,5 Good
Pros: The hotel itself was nice, room was generous, had a balcony and the pool facilities were fantastic. We were celebrating and they left a cake in our room, which was a lovely touch.
Cons: At check in, the ladies seemed great and helpful. They offered to order us a taxi at €25, which we accepted. Later on the night before we were due to leave, we discovered the taxi hadn’t been booked and actually, if you book on the day (it took 10 seconds on the day), it is €10-15 cheaper. On check out, the man at the desk was rude and very unhelpful. We asked if we could put our bags behind the desk while we had an early breakfast and he said we could leave them in the lobby unattended, we declined this.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff, everyone very welcoming; kudos to Maria, Kallia and Kallia (Spa), Vangelis (main bar), the team of the pool bar. The structure, facilities and rooms are very clean and well kept. Dinner buffet was very good! We enjoyed very much the a la carte restaurant too.
Cons: We had big problems with the Wi-Fi connection throughout the stay. We reccomend to increase the quality and variety of the breakfast menu.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The entire staff was very helpful and courteous. They ensured that our stay was pleasant and comfortable. Front desk staff was also very prompt and helpful.
Cons: WiFi range was little weak
4,3 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Not serving anything on the beach side, drinks and food very low quality, the overall experience was very low quality and disappointing Beach bar was operating like a cheap self service take-away, no atmosphere of holiday at all but rather an old retirement plan
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff so kind and attentive, totally in touch with their guests, Beautiful clean beach with lovely sand and lots of loungers, glistening pool and luxury sun loungers, spectacular views, delicious varied food in restaurant, beds comfy, lovely quiet bungalows, peaceful idilic location, nice wee town with good shops, car hire and restaurants, very close to major historical sites. Only a short inexpensive taxi trip from airport, close to capital but totally peaceful and quiet, located in the centre of the island so ideal for visiting all sides of the island on a day trip if you wish Only 15 minutes from Knossos Brilliant choice of hotel!!
Cons: departing
7,5 Good
Pros: The food is very really good and we had every day New options in the menu. We booked a standard bangalow but when we arrived we were upgraded to a premium one, which was bigger and much nicer.
Cons: Most of the workers in the hotel were nice and ready to help, but some of them were very unfriendly to us before we even spoke to them! We had no idea why !
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Restorans, beach
Cons: No coffe , tea during the lunch, diner
7,0 Good
Pros: I liked all of the extra sports they offered as well as the beach itself. It was a nice beach in a good location in town where we were able to shop and eat out when needed. I also thought the room was beautiful and liked how there were individual bungalows and that they came equipped with a patio and a drying rack.
Cons: I didn't like the bed or the pillows as they were too hard and I couldn't sleep. I also didn't like how the resort had live music everynight that I could hear from my room while I was trying to sleep, making it hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. We were also given wristbands that they put on us at check-in, but they weren't explained to us and we couldn't get them off without cutting them, which was terrible as a tan. The staff had also explained to us that there was wifi throughout the whole resort, but we didn't get wifi in our room at all and had to go out on the patio towards the ocean to get it. This made it hard to communicate with family and organize our trips we had planned. And for the price I paid, I don't think it was worth the 2 nights even after we were upgraded to a different room. I paid for half-board as well which means breakfast and dinner were included, but the food was a bit of a let down as well. It was served at their restaurant buffet-style, and there were not many choices for non-alcoholic drinks. Lastly, the AC wouldn't shut off or move temperatures and the shower filled up because the drain must have been clogged. Overall it was not the best experience.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: High class hotel! The food is varied, the place is clean, the cabins are nice between plants and flowers, a large pool and a few meters from the sea. A friendly crew and a real assistant we enjoyed every moment ... A little suggestion for improvement, we came from a country that people dont eat pork so maybe put some more dishes from beef..
7,5 Good
Pros: The staff was excellent, they were very helpful and friendly! Loved the fact that our bungalow was right on the beach. The bungalow was cleaned daily, incl. mopping, bathroom cleaning of sand etc.
Cons: The breakfast was poor quality, scrambled eggs seemed to be mixed in with something else to make more of them. The coffee was terrible and juices tasted like the cheap ones from the carton boxes you get for less than a euro. Wifi was also very very poor, we barely had any in our bungalow.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant beach front hotel with good breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. Rooms were simple, clean and serviceable and staff was friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Cons: The onsite parking that is advertised is a public car park where survival of the fittest is the rule. The private car park holds 2-3 cars max. You might want to avoid room #103 as it is directly next to the kitchen and quite noisy until late night.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: In general everything was as expected. The stuff is very helpful and the facilities are very clean.
Cons: Without being annoying, our room was a bit loud because it was next to the staircase.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Good food, friendly staff, lovely views.
Cons: Shower was broken.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic stay on Crete. The hotel is small but very cozy. It has a direct access to the beach, which was convenient for us with the baby. The staff is amazing and very helpful and the food was prepared delicious
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were modern. Entertainment representative was very good. Greek food options at buffet were excellent. Location on beach with mountain views was stunning. Staff were very friendly and even before we arrived sorted our big family party accommodation out by email efficiently. Swimming pool and surrounding area kept crystal clean.
Cons: Area very much given to hotels, but we expected that and hired car from car rental nearby and toured Crete for one day to get flavour of island.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing food, all included, what an experience! Very nice staff. We got in after dinner hours, however they allowed us to eat after hours without any problem. When the lunch was closing, they also warned us to get any last thing before they pick up, very attencious. The pool and views are great. They also have shows and diversions for the guests! 5 ⭐️
Cons: The room design and quality is something to improve in the feature. No big deal, but a suggestion.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: I liked almost everything. Good food. The service staff is great! All problems are solved without delay. Friendly people work at the reception desk. Nikoletta is a very professional manager. Vacationers happy to each other. We have been visiting Neptuno Beach for four years already in May. And we dream to come again.
Cons: We liked everything. However, animation should be more professional.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Larry spacious clean rooms, great location.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great price for the offer of all inclusive.
Cons: That everything felt a little bit more underrated as the stars given to this hotel. Despite a sign signalling that no sun beds are to be reserved ... nearly all were ahead of breakfast (despite only a couple of people using them). I think it's important to have hotel house rules but they should not just be window-dressing. Every guest ought to have a right to use all of the facilities. Reserving seats or sun beds is absolutely ridiculous and staff should (as the so-called rules by the poolside state) should remove the pegs that hold towels there. Or better still, remind guests on their arrival that reserving sun loungers/beds is against house rules. Certain cultures whether it be German or British have no right to impose such archaic traditions on any other holidaymakers.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: People, hotel, service and food fantastic, almost on the beach. Really recommnended.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed at Kronos for one night - but the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. I explained to Maria that we were on our honeymoon and I wanted to make it special for my wife at each place along the way. Even though we had a short time in Iraklio, Maria went out of her way to buy flowers at a shop nearby and provide a bottle of wine as well. Location was perfect as well for us since we had to catch the ferry the next morning.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very family orientated with good facilities for the younger ones. The all inclusive feature is excellent with pool side bars and pool side restaurants The main restaurant is excellent with a very wide range of choices. The staff are excellent attentive and caring As a visually impaired person I found all routes and access easy to negotiate. Close to bus stop where public transport just available to take you to Heraklion The beach is first class and kept clean with plenty of loungers available and is adjacent to the pool.
Cons: I prefer a shower rather than a bath. The bathrooms need an modernisation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The food was brilliant and staff were very helpful. Amazing snorkelling here right on the hotels doorstep, best holiday ever!! Also beautiful sunset every night.
Cons: You only had real orange juice for breakfast I would have like proper juice available all day.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: the food was really delicious. A big variety of food, different plates everyday. The girls working at the reception desk were very polite and extremely helpful
6,8 Good
Pros: The hotel is nice Clean
Cons: I booked a room with sea view. They tried to put me in an annex building with street view. This was due to overbooking
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The beach is perfect. Restaurants, in general, are good(especially people who work there). The location is good(even for those who don't have a car, there is a bus stop nearby. housekeeping is impressive.
Cons: The room did not meet my expectations. It's totally different from what you see in photos. the building is pretty old and it's just average. (altho the hotel is pretty expensive in that area). The staff at reception are not very friendly(unlike the other departments of the hotel). Taxi service is super expensive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very very very great quality service. Food was available for 24/7. I will surely revisit Arina beach hotel again.
Cons: I liked everything.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Private pool
Cons: Leaving the place :(
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel is very stylish and clean. The view from the room was wonderful. The location is great for exploring Heraklion (we really enjoyed the archaeological museum) and Knossos. It was very convenient being able to rent a car on site at the hotel. The massages from the spa were also nice. It was great having direct access to a beach and the pool.
Cons: While there is a huge selection of international food at the hotel, we felt that there was more emphasis on quantity rather than quality. We would have appreciated higher quality Cretan dishes; I took my mother out to dinner at a restaurant outside of the hotel to show her that Cretan food is actually outstanding. At the hotel, the coffee was also poor, with the exception of that served from the bar by the pool. While our room overall was good, the beds were very soft. Fortunately the room had a couch that had firm cushions that one of us slept on instead of the bed. I think the hotel is probably best suited for a family with young children or those whose first priority is convenience and quiet (everything shuts down at midnight).
6,3 Good
Pros: The hotel is really nice, unless you stay in the “double room annex”. When booking, we never read anything saying where it was located, only that you had a “pool view”. This is a completely separate building to the hotel, and you even have to cross a dangerous street to get there. It has no security whatsoever, and all rooms have 2 twin beds put together to do a double bed, so clearly if you’re traveling a couple it is not a great experience. The room is nice, but then you have a light from the balcony all night and the highway next to this building so it is not very nice to get some time to relax. We managed to enjoy anyway but I believe people should know about how things really are before booking. The pictures can easily be misinterpreted as of course this building is not even shown, and the rest of the hotel is pretty nice.

Pros: The staff of the hotel was very welcoming helpful and nice, special mention for Dimitri and Chrissia who were kind with us. The pool area and the garden are very chill, new and clean with beautiful trees and 2 jacuzzi. We eat ta the bar/restaurant the First night when we arrived and the food was very tasty and fresh. you have to try the starter with creamy feta foam (we do not remember the exact name) it us very tasty. Breakfast is good but not really typical/traditional.
Cons: The room was ok for 2 nights but a little bit small for two. It is not so luminous and lack of workmanip/finish. We found the cleaning to superficial and would appreciate more cleaning.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: They make you feel like a special guest. They helped with every question we had. The staff is very friendly. The room is small but fine! The breakfast was great. The bar was fun. Very good price for the quality.
Cons: Hmm..
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden and quite place
Cons: Too small water pool
9,5 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were warm, friendly and very helpful if we needed anything. They made you feel like it was a second home. The breakfast was very good. The location was cute with the beach right down the street with several restaurants around. The location was nice and close to the main town and I highly recommend going in for dinner as there were so many excellent options there. Pool was small but quaint and able to cool you off but if you are looking for a quiet spot as a couple there could be kids jumping in the pool and since it small you may need to go down to the beach. The court yard was a fun place with a bar and music and friendly staff. Beds were comfortable. Ac and fridge only works when you have the card in but the area is small so cools quickly. As for drinks in the fridge the staff were always kind to give us ice if we needed it. There is a small grocery store right at the end of the street.
6,8 Good
Pros: Food was good and location was good.
Cons: We had let hotel know we were arriving a day late and they replied saying "Great see you then". When we arrived they had given our room to someone else, they offered us a downgrade room, unacceptable. We were then sent to a sister hotel, half an hour away, inferior room and furnishings, no sea view which we had paid for. After 2 nights we were then shunted back to original hotel for 2 nights, room was good but not the one I had specifically booked with glass balustrade so we could lie in bed and look at the view. The pool looked a little grubby.

Pros: Absolutely loved our stay here, was perfect after staying the majority of our trip in hostels and cheap accommodation. Would highly recommend this hotel and if I ever come back to Heraklion, would 100% stay here. The staff were so lovely and the room exceeded our expectations.
Cons: The breakfast was really good value for money. However I had hoped the food choices would be a little more exciting and more options.

Pros: Extremely courteous staff, clean hotel, well located, good value for money
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: The room was somewhat cramped
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Good Breakfast and choice. The location was not important as it was only a stopover for 1 night before departing the next day to our holiday accommodation elsewhere
Cons: everything was fine
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Modern comfortable room, convenient to old town and port
Cons: Nothing
9,3 Excellent
Pros: This is a very nice hotel at the outskirts of the Heraklion City Centre, 15 minutes walk from the port and from the Eleftherias Square. I basically liked everything, the staff are very nice and helpful, the breakfast is fine, the room is good and well-equipped with a large bathroom and a balkony (not that I used it much, but I appreciate it looking into an enclosure and not into the busy street).
Cons: The room was spatious but strangely organized; there was not much convenient place to put one's things, but for a two-nights' stay this is no problem. Sounds from the corridor could be heard, but again I can't say that noise bothered me much.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable mattress, quality linens. Balcony with a city view, refrigerator, tv, ac, wifi -- all were fine. Small take-out coffee shop nearby had excellent coffee. The hotel is close to the outdoor flea market, less than a 10 minute walk. Exceptional staff. Free computer and printing. Quiet room.
Cons: The hotel is far from the center, about a 10 minute walk, 20 minutes to Lion Fountain, 10 minutes to the port.

Pros: Lovely staff, comfortable beds Excellent value for money

Cons: Location is close to power station. The water in the pool are very cold even in the children pool
7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fabulous. Staff are friendly .
Cons: Prices are crazy compared to local tavernas just in 10 min walking.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Frienfly, helpful staff; good food.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff especially at the front desk and in the special restaurants were consistently helpful and generous. The spa staff and treatments were great! The accessibility in the hotel was very good. There was a great variety of food at all meals in the hotel and during the day by the beach. Our children and grandchildren loved the play facilities.. slides, pools, beach.. The store and jewelry store had a wide selection for daily needs and souvenirs and cosmetics... The location was great as we were a short driving distance to Heraklion yet in a quiet area.
Cons: The landscape is marred by the huge chimneys of the electric plant.. The food in the dining room while plentiful and varied was not all that tasty.. especially at the meat dishes at dinner. The mattress was uncomfortable...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very good facilities - we enjoyed the pool and the beach access. The restaurants were also incredibly good and reasonably priced - the staff working at the Greek and Italian restaurants in particular were lovely.
Cons: I found that there were never enough people working at reception, which made it frustrating when we had to wait for over 20mins for a brief question. The staff in the breakfast area were also quite rude - they were more obsessed with clearing tables than actually noticing that we had left stuff at our table to go and get more food. We were not particularly impressed to come back to find another couple sitting there. We were also supposed to get a free 15min massage but were unable to do so as no one was there to actually help us book.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything! Especially the friendly helpful staff! Great options for kids- pools slides games beach.. lots of food options.. close to many places..
Cons: Uncomfortable mattresses Dinner food could be tastier.,
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The place is very nice. It has everything you need for a good vacation: Sun, sea, amazing food, bar, garden. Very welcoming staff. The food is so great! The beds were comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot.
Cons: A lot of families with kids there, so if you want a quiet and romantic time spend with your partner it is not quite a place for you in this occasion.
5,1 Okay
Pros: The food here was pretty good. The pool was nice and deep. Our room was huge.
Cons: We booked a day at the spa and were forced to cancel with plenty of notice. The spa clerk began berating us about how bad it is for them that we cancelled. She then proceeded to yell at us and accused us of not having enough money for the spa. (We had already paid...) I brought this matter to the front desk and they did not care. That is not the mentality of a 5 star hotel. Then again, I don’t believe that this is a true 5 star. I would say it rates at a solid 4 star. Most definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here due to the attitude of the staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A very nice hotel located in the beautiful park of exitic trees, cery close to the beach, good and attentive personnel, excellent food. My thanks tho the personnel and management.
Cons: The only minus the sea was still cold, another minus, the beach is not sandy, in a meter after the water edge begins a rocky (although) flt surface. All the rest was good.

Cons: Our room was a bit hidden and slightly older (NOT OLD)than expected, but all in good and clean condition
7,5 Good
Pros: It was calm and nice
Cons: There was a little antisemitism from the reception
5,0 Okay
Pros: - Good location, not too far from airport, near lovely beach and some fantastic restaurants. Short taxi to water city and dinosaur park. - spacious rooms, daily cleaning service provided.
Cons: - this hotel is NOT 4 star. We book many hotels around the world (often via booking.com) and this is the lowest standard hotel we have visited in a very long time. We stayed in 3 other 4 star hotels in Greece (zafolis in Athens city centre, Blazer Suites Athens southern beachside suburbs, and Divani Meteora hotel kalabaka) during our 2 week vacation. All the other hotels were of excellent 4 star standard. - the rooms look like they may have been slightly updated recently but decor means they still look very dated. - bathrooms in need of desperate upgrade. One of our bathrooms had black mold at the base of the shower - kitchen hob is so old you can no longer see how to turn it on/off - no pool towels provided. We have never stayed in a hotel that doesn't provide pool towels. We had to go and buy some. - no laundry service. A washing machine was provided at 10EUR per load to wash your own. The machine was in a smelly dirty laundry room that I would never send guests to if it was my hotel. - use of safe in room was additional charge!?! Again we have never come across this before. - as other reviewers have mentioned, the pool is too small and crowded for the number of guests during peak season. We chose not to use it at all and went to the beach every day instead. - staff were hit and miss. On our arrival at 3pm our room wasn't ready despite a 1pm checkin time so we were kindly offered a drink on the house. However we were not given any indication when the room would be ready. We had to chase continually to see what was taking so long and were left sitting and waiting for over 1.5 hours. When we chased we were initially told that it was taking so long as it was a big room. (?!) Hotels.com gives a much more realistic review of this hotel. Having read reviews on booking.com we were surprised at the reality of the hotel.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I liked that there was a more family oriented area of the resort and an area of the resort that was quieter and primarily without children. The coffee was really good and the maids were very sweet and did little extra things with the room that made me smile!
Cons: One of the bartenders was a bit abrasive and could brush up on his language and people skills.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really friendly the hotel is in a good condition good rooms and pool area. Location itself is quiet.
Cons: Was on the flight path to airport so can be a bit of noise.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very polite. The room was spacious we had nice garage and the food was great.

Pros: This hotel was much nicer than I expected it would be. Recently renovated, it is comfortable, clean, and attractive. The staff were very helpful in getting me a few extras for the room, and I found the hotel to be a very restful place as it was quiet. I particularly liked the generously sized bathroom with two windows, a very roomy shower stall, and modern fixtures.

Pros: Really well situated, clean and pleasant.
Cons: Everything was fine, even unexpected daily cleaning service

Pros: Yanis the host was very helpful, he helped in. Every way possible to make our stay enjoyable, the room was large with a large balcony the room was clean , the bathroom was dated but clean and shower hand held but hot! The apartments are about 15 min out of town easily accessible by bus from town , bus no 6 from town stops at the apartments bus no20 takes you back to town. There are supermarkets 300mts away, tavernas within easy walking distance . The beach is an easy 5 min walk. The pool is good as well . Good value place to stay.
6,8 Good
Pros: Location, pool, free parking, nice garden, cheerful owner.
Cons: Quite out-dated furniture and amenities. Not as clean as you’d wish. Kitchen-ware not sufficient.
6,8 Good
Pros: The owner is the best thing about this property. He went out of his way to help and accomodate our needs. He even gave us a free bottle of homemade olive oil. Apartment was clean, and once inside the complex, it felt secure.
Cons: Old and outdated apartment, furniture and facilities. small bathrooms and WiFi wasn't very good. Some undesirable 'ladies' hanging out in front of complex at night time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We chose this hotel for its price, free parking, pool and proximity to the beach, and we were pleased in all regards. The manager (whose father built the hotel, I think) was very warm and welcoming. The raki he gave us a welcome gift (with chocolate bars for the kids) and the olive oil he gave us as a parting gift were exceptional. We found the room very spacious, the pool was the perfect temperature, and the grounds of the hotel with the hibiscus trees are very nice. We had a car so I didn't check out the ease of taking the bus from the stop right in front of the hotel, nor its frequency. We drove a little ways for lunch (there was somewhere within walking distance but the manager said we'd get greek-sized portions instead of french-sized portions if we headed further from the centre) and it was an easy drive both to the airport and Knossos.
Cons: Families with very small children/non-swimmers should know that the pool's shallow end is too deep to stand in for kids. I'm about 5 foot 6 and the water came to my shoulders in the shallow end. We had a life jacket along for our weakest/youngest swimmer so it wasn't a problem.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lyktos is quite near nice beach. There are small villas placed inside of beautiful garden. Very near (around 400m) is big hypermarket (Skavenidis) with parking, you will find there everything you need (open until 21:00). There is also big pool (but we didn't use it) and private parking (with many places) - this is quite important. Host is wonderful, he told us about many things - thanks!
9,3 Excellent
Pros: + excellent location + beautiful garden + big swimming pool + friendly staff + barbecue place
Cons: - many mosquito
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Host was great Great job gianni
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I went with my family there for a business trip. I had to go everyday to Heraklion. The city bus (also the airport bus) stops just in front of the house from early morning til late evening on a regular basis (every 15min). The staff is really nice and offered us a bottle of delicious home made olive oil. The appartments are nicely located close to the sea. I highly recommand this place.

Pros: Located across from the ferry terminal and nearby to some nice dining. The hotel is really modern and rooms are nicely done. The bed is very comfortable. Great shower and amenities. Breakfast is a buffet with make your own orange juice and option for omelettes to be made to order. Very good breakfast.
Cons: We just passed through Heraklion from Chania to get to Santorini. Did not stay there long but did not seem to be a vacation hotspot. Would prefer to not make my own orange juice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great service, nice room.
Cons: Noisy at times as located in the proximity of the airport. Then again so is almost all of Heraklion and the windows keep out most of the noise. The step up chair provided in front of the bathtub to climb in and use as a shower is a nice touch but I prefer a separate shower without the climbing exercise.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, walkable to the ferry terminal and port, and a short walk to the restaurants and shops. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff who were so sweet and gave us honeymoon gift. Fantastic breakfast.
Cons: Nothing, everything was great

Pros: Great service, very comfortable rooms and excellent food. And last but not least great blacked-out curtains.
Cons: Pool is a little smaller than pictures seem to show but it is a city hotel after all and not a resort so didnt mind.

Pros: Staff excellent. Breakfast was amazing. The selection and diversity of breakfast items were unlike any I’ve seen and I’ve traveled a lot around Europe. Everything from typical breakfast items to traditional Greek cuisine. We came in by ferry and it was an easy walk from the port. Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Room view was lovely.

Cons: The a/c is pre-set at 20 degrees celsius and they won't change it. If you're hot-blooded it may be uncomfortable. The floor of the room had grit and hair when we checked in. The maid service next-day cleaned it up. Everything else was perfect.

Pros: Great hotel...and excellent ac...so important after a hot day of travelling

Pros: Location is great; we had a top-floor room with sea-view which was also very good. There was not a good separation with the balconies of the neighbouring chambers so not full privacy. Staff very helpful with parking the car.
Cons: Old lift; breakfast OK but nog great. Bathroom functional (good warm water) but very small indeed. But the room price (we paid EUR 150 per night) is too high

Pros: Location was a short walk from Heraklion town center. Staff were friendly and very helpful as we lost a night due to a Ferry strike, and they arranged for us to stay another night even though they were fully booked.
Cons: There was no view from the room, but this was expected as we were right in town. The view from the hotel restaurant more than made up for this though!

Pros: Excellent location. Easy access to the Port and Knossos via taxi and across the road from the Archeological Museum. Next to the shopping/cafe district. Helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Pool area requires upgrading.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Close to the bus stop from the airport, old city, and museum! The pool on the roof. Is a great escape from the mid day heat. I would recommend for a short visit to heraklion.
Cons: Try to get a room above the first floor. We didn't like that the beds were twin and easily separated .
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Central location, good facilities. Lovely rooftop pool and bar area.
7,5 Good
Pros: I really loved the location of the Hotel, pretty cool near to the center where you can walk downtown easily in 5 min. Lovely Rooftop bar and pool also and the staff was really helpful and friendly :-) Breakfast is amazing too !
Cons: Absence of Parking but they partner with local parking for 9 Eur / Night but they keep the card keys inside the car in the parking which isn't normal to me.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable bed, clean rooms, good location; adjacent to center!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast, good quality and variety. Comfortable beds, excellent location, very polite stuff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and a good location in town for our visit to Heraklion.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: If you are looking for a hotel close to the archaeological museum, this is perfectly located just half a short street away. The breakfast choice is extensive and does vary slightly each day. I have not seen candied figs and lemons at breakfast in Greece before. The staff make sure tables are cleared efficiently, so although it's clearly a busy hotel, we never felt rushed. The breakfast room has been recently updated and is a nice space to eat. The roof top terrace has plenty of seating and although it's quite a big hotel, we never felt we were in a crowd. We had an issue with our air conditioning unit on day one, we mentioned it at reception when we went out for our evening meal and it was sorted by the time we got back.
Cons: Slightly impersonal feel to the hotel, partly because there were large parties just staying a night or two. The furniture was a bit tired and dated, as was the bathroom which was very dark. Some days the poolside music was too loud. I did ask if it could be turned down in the area where I was sitting (with nobody else in view. or earshot, so i didn't feel I would be imposing my preferences) but the lady politely explained it was not possible. The next 2 days - no pool music at all, so not sure what the policy is....
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, good location
Cons: Loud Music to 2 A.M., hard to sleep
9,4 Excellent
Pros: The location is with walking distance of the port, bus station, and local attractions. The staff was helpful in arranging an extra night there, and they were helpful in every way.
Cons: The bed was not as soft as I need with a sore back, but the room had lots of extra pillows.
7,1 Good
Pros: Astoria Capsis is located in the heart of Heraklion near major sites and shopping opportunities. You can easily walk to a lot of archaeological sites like the former fortress docks & harbours. There are a lot places to eat and shopping close by.
Cons: No fitness center for exercise. There weren't a lot of choice for their breakfast. Can be noisy. My room had a noticeable sway for no apparent reason, possibly the foundation of the building was not stable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Mum was hospitalized from a heart attack in Crete. Staff were amazing, efficient and kind.
Cons: Toilet flush was broken. No shower curtain so entire bathroom ends up soaking wet. No decent make up mirror. Very noisy from outside and music from the bar. Otherwise perfect!
