6,3 Good
Pros: Seemed new/remodeled and I had a big room
Cons: I got there at 10:30pm and the reception was closed. Apparently it closes at 10 which seems crazy for a 3 star hotel. Had hard time contacting them to get the door open as the buzzer didn't seem to work. The heater in my room was not working either so pretty cold night.

Pros: Underfloor heating in the bathroom. Quiet location. Easy to walk into town. Nice little touches in room.

Pros: Finally a quiet hotel in the center of Groningen. Tried 3 others and all of the others we noisy! This one was very quiet, but that had maybe something to do with my window with a view to the roof of the building next doors.

Pros: Superb location. Everything is just nearby. We would prefer to stay here again next time. Kept on telling my husband that we made the right choice choosing City Hotel. All the staff are friendly and accommodating. You can also already arrange with them parking slot for your car. Although it costs additional fee, but for your own convenience it’s worth it.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: What a great place to stay: Only a 20 min bike ride into Groningen and, yet, there is a great farm atmosphere. The owner was very welcoming and even offered us a ride into town to get rental bikes. Speaking of perfect service: we were served a wholesome breakfast directly to the caravan in which we stayed. The icing on the cake were the several farm animals which even could be fed (lambs, pigs, horses, alpacas, and many more). I would recommend De Oude Nadorst to anyone who likes a good farm stay with all the benefits of the city nearby.
Cons: Rental bikes on site would be much appreciated.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Kind staff, great breekfast
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing. Quiet with the farm animals around. I lived in the caravan so I had to go to the actual house in order to use toilet and shower.
Cons: Take into consideration that property is not located in the city so you have to use bicycle bus or taxi.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Charming and cosy stay
Cons: The toilet and shower were in the house, so in that way it was like camping. It wasn’t however a big issue for us

6,0 Good
Pros: I liked the sitting room. Very pleasant sitting by the fire reading in the evening.
Cons: The bedroom right up in the loft was very dated and difficult to get around. The shower was terrible. A so called rain shower was more a trickle shower
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely fireplace in the lounge and free warm drinks!
Cons: The room was a bit filthy, the toilet was dirty and in general the whole hotel was not so clean, such a pity, because otherwise it would have been really nice!
5,0 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly albeit unobservant. The second night our new room was much h better and much quieter. The hotel is very central and close to everything.
Cons: The terrible noise. On checking in I was allocated a below standard room. The room was dusty and not very clean. I was woken at 12:30am by a consistent noise from the nightclub next door. This continued until 4am! Consequently I over slept and was late for our appointment at the university so it was not a good day. The next morning I asked to be moved and was immediately assisted and was told this was no problem. After already being in a rush to get to the university we had to pack our bags and bring them to reception. My question is why didn't they just put us into this room in the first place?? The hotel wasn't booked! I'm no spring chicken and yet was allocated a room that I'm positive reception knew was going to be extremely noisy. Why???

Pros: Did not take breakfast. Location is great and parking is free! That is a big bonus. There is also a hotel shuttle to town that is very convenient.
Cons: Bar food is not good. Order a caesar salad. Really not to standard at all.
7,0 Good
Pros: Generally hotel is OK. Nothing really special
Cons: Parking is very unclear or far from the front door. Not practical when it is raining.............
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was huge, extremely clean and it had a great view
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I was travelling for work and needed a room at the last minute. On arrival there was ample parking and the reception staff greeted a weary traveller with a smile and prompt service. The hotel is situated not too far from the city centre and cost approximately €24.00 euros for a taxi into the city. The room was very clean, the bed was excellent and the shower room was very clean and the view from the room on the 7th floor was amazing. I would recommend this hotel to any visiting the city and needing a place to stay.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and renovated rooms. Friendly staff.
Cons: Hotel is far from the city and there was a false fire alarm that made all the hotel guests run to the reception at 2.00 in the night. They charged my room twice by mistake bit they reacted fast in order to cancel one payment. Oh and the view from the room was horrible - towards the muddy pond, worksite and highway...

4,0 Okay
Cons: It wasn't clean enough.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff, nice location.
Cons: Rooms are extremely small, never seen such a small bathroom. Neighborhood is extremely loud at night.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic price compared to other accommodation in the area (the ESNS festival was happening so many hotels were charging over £100 and I got this private room with bunk bed and shower for £45). Super! Excellent location just 10 minute walk from the train station and right in the heart of all amenities. Lots of sockets for charging my devices. Bunk beds, sheets and towels were all genuinely clean and good quality. Bathroom is small and has a steep step up to it from the main room but the shower was hot and all was clean! The young reception staff I dealt with were all friendly, efficient and printed a boarding pass for me free of charge which was very kind. I would gladly stay again. Reception area has cans of beer, soft drinks, snacks etc which appear to be available 24/7 which is really useful.
Cons: The room was cold due to a large window being left open. I appreciate the need to air out the room but it was January! Also, the room (105) window opens out onto what looked like an internal roof / fire exit area so in theory, people could walk by the window and access the room (admittedly unlikely, but not 100% secure in my opinion). Even when putting the heating on, I had to take the duvet from the bunk bed above me just to get warm. Thankfully this was the only downside of an otherwise excellent stay!
4,6 Okay
Pros: Location, and the common room doesn’t look too bad.
Cons: The room smelt of urine (toilet almost within room mustn’t have been cleaned in months), consequently someone opened the window wide open, and it was freezing through the whole night. Bed wasn’t comfortable and doesn’t even have a tiny little shelf on which i could put my phone or key card.

Pros: The staff is really diligent.
Cons: The location looks better in the pictures.
4,0 Okay
Pros: The hotel is less expensive than other hotels in Groningen. The room has all the necessary but in extremely small space.
Cons: The hotel staff is not welcoming and not cheerful. At the check in, they required me to pay 140 euros as guarantee despite that I already paid all the stay in advance and I also paid the city tax. This is the first time a hotel does this to me. I felt as a suspect individual with low credibility. In addition to that, the hotel proposes that in case you don't want your room to be cleaned every single day to receive a deduction in the restaurant and bar. I accepted and made the room to be cleaned every two days. The surprise is that when I wanted to use the deduction for the breakfast they simply refused. They said that it applies only for dinner and bar. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, but it's not part of it! This was never mentioned before. Basically, these people are simply making up rules to deny the customer from very simple and fair advantages. Room is extremely small. The smallest hotel room I have ever been to despite the hotel is located outside of city center. The advertised 21 m2 do not exist. The room was literally 4 by 4 meters including the toilet. We were 2 people and we had issues moving together inside the room.
7,0 Good
Pros: All the staff we really friendly, in particular at the reception and in the bar/restaurant. Breakfast was very good, though somewhat pricey. The evening meal we had in the restaurant was very well cooked and tasty. The room was clean, tidy and well equipped.
Cons: Unfortunately there is too much road noise that can be heard, which made it quite difficult to sleep.
7,0 Good
Pros: The bed was pretty large and the room is quite comfortable in general.
Cons: The shower nozzle did not have an adequate strain of water. Besides, there was a tiny bit of limestone at the shower door joints. The windows were not soundproof enough
8,0 Excellent
Pros: I like it, all stuffs are very kind even the mistake have a little problem on me, they still do their best even give me some favor, it's a really good hotel for you to choose.

Pros: The bed was pretty large and the room is quite comfortable in general.
Cons: The shower nozzle did not have an adequate strain of water. Besides, there was a tiny bit of limestone at the shower door joints. The windows were not soundproof enough
