It wasn't clean enough.
Friendly staff, nice location.
Rooms are extremely small, never seen such a small bathroom. Neighborhood is extremely loud at night.
Fantastic price compared to other accommodation in the area (the ESNS festival was happening so many hotels were charging over £100 and I got this private room with bunk bed and shower for £45). Super! Excellent location just 10 minute walk from the train station and right in the heart of all amenities. Lots of sockets for charging my devices. Bunk beds, sheets and towels were all genuinely clean and good quality. Bathroom is small and has a steep step up to it from the main room but the shower was hot and all was clean! The young reception staff I dealt with were all friendly, efficient and printed a boarding pass for me free of charge which was very kind. I would gladly stay again. Reception area has cans of beer, soft drinks, snacks etc which appear to be available 24/7 which is really useful.
The room was cold due to a large window being left open. I appreciate the need to air out the room but it was January! Also, the room (105) window opens out onto what looked like an internal roof / fire exit area so in theory, people could walk by the window and access the room (admittedly unlikely, but not 100% secure in my opinion). Even when putting the heating on, I had to take the duvet from the bunk bed above me just to get warm. Thankfully this was the only downside of an otherwise excellent stay!
