Pros: Recommendations for restaurant for having dinner was excellent
Cons: surroundings from constructions for more than two hours, hairs on my bed from foreign people, water flow in the bathtub didn't work well. Paid EUR 179/room/night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: During my stay in Europe I travelled to two other cities and of all the hotels in the 4 star category. Park Hotel stood out the highest from the rest. From the staff to the breakfast it was superb. When in Grenoble again I plan on staying here.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and stylish hotel with great facilities. Lovely base for our long weekend and very helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Smart, classy, clean, very polite and helpful personnel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, nice helpful staff, excellent room and facilities. Good breakfast on Friday with very attentive waitress.
Cons: Poor breakfast on the Saturday- not even end of sitting and most things had gone and not replenished. Most disappointing. Plus point was that on complaining the charged for this was deleted from the bill. I'm sure that this was a one off glitch.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All very comfortable, clean and high quality.
Cons: The fact there was neither a window nor an air extract for the WC.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Luxurious. Extremely comfortable bed, super soft sheets, wonderful breakfast, very accommodating staff. It’s a lovely hotel.
Cons: Did not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner. It lacked a descent exercise room.
7,9 Good
Pros: Decor of Bathroom and lobby
Cons: Toilet and room were too small
6,3 Good
Cons: Very disappointing with the hotel, the last day I forgot a gift package in the minibar fridge and according to hotel management it has “vanished”. No help to find it whatsoever, only excuses... Not an acceptable behaviour for such expensive and high end hotel.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Large room, very comfortable and clean. I would have preferred other type of pillows, but take it as a personal preference. Wonderful location, just cross the park, with very convenient commute to any corner of the city. 15 min walk away from Old City, quite area of the city, very good isolation of the rooms. Quality bath products (Clarins).
Cons: I would have liked a beer in the room refrigerator - not the case, just water and some juices. And some more options for the pillows (softer ones are missing)

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, good breakfast
Cons: No cold tap water in badroom, not very well isolated
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This property had a great location in the city centre and the room was quite nice. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our shower was very small, as in so small that you could barely move in it. This may have been due to the fact that we were in a corner room.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all extremely kind and friendly, without exception! Good breakfast buffet in a pleasant room. This is the oldest hotel in Grenoble and its position is excellent, right on the main square, and we had views of the square from our room. We'd definitely come back!
Cons: The bathroom could have done with more hooks and a surface or shelf to put things on. There was a fire alarm in the middle of the night, which although it wasn't in the hotel itself and wasn't the hotel's fault directly (someone had set fire to a rubbish bin in the backstreet) did ruin our second night and scared our children, however the lovely staff dealt with it very well
10,0 Excellent

Citadines City Centre Grenoble - Grenoble - Building

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Citadines City Centre Grenoble, you'll be centrally located in Grenoble, just a 4-minute walk from Paul Mistral Park and 6 minutes by foot from Museum of Resistance and Deportation. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7,5 Good
Pros: This is our second experience at Citadines. (previous was in winter). The room is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well furnished. The windows provide good noise insulation. Unfortunately, it can be very hot in summer. Considering the average level of the accommodations in Grenoble, it is probably the best choice except during hot days in summer.
Cons: Too hot in august. The room is provided with a dishwasher, a hot-air blower for winter, but nothing reasonable to cool down the room in summer. We found an old ventilator, a desk one, in the closet, which is incredibly noisy. This makes it impossible to use it overnight. One can resist few minutes, then it becomes unbearable. Also, since it is very small (see photo), it has to be placed on the bedside table, close to the head and it can’t cover the full bed. Providing tools like that is a lack of respect for the guests. I think that a ventilator is not a proper service in a 3 star hotel for a city which in the last years is constantly reaching 38 °C in summer. For 15 euros one can buy much better ventilators making guests’ life less painful. (this is ¼ of the cost of one single night.. ). The hotel cannot claim to provide ventilators, because they can’t be used. And I am not the first guest complaining about that. Eventually, the only chance overnight is to open the window. And every night we had to wake up because of mosquitos.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious studio style accommodation, very clean, great amenities and excellent staff. Great location. I would happily stay there again.
Cons: nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very good and well stuffed with all you need for cooking. As well the hotel has a free coffee machine in the lobby. Would like to thank all the stuff that were very friendly and helpful!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was clean, spacious, well lighten and with tons of storage space. Kitchen was well equipped. bathroom was huge. bed was comfortable. Cute little balcony too (5th floor). Location was excellent for exploring city. Staff was caring and friendly. I loved the 24/7 free coffee (from automatic machine but good!) in the lobby
Cons: Breakfast was not very good and not worth the extra 10 EUR. It had mediocre cheese (factory-made slices in small plastic wraps), two cold cuts (cheap and tasteless), ok sausage and scrambled eggs that I think were made from a liquid in a bag, or microwaved. First time I see tasteless food in France
9,6 Excellent
Pros: minutes walk from center close parking large room
7,9 Good
Pros: Great apart hotel with free parking! Close to a lot of small restaurants and bars. Great rooms and very quiet. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Hotel d'Angleterre Grenoble Hyper-Centre - Grenoble - Building

Overview Reviews
A stay at Hôtel d'Angleterre Grenoble Hyper-Centre places you in the heart of Grenoble, within a 15-minute walk of Museum of Grenoble and Paul Mistral Park. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the centre - you can drop off outside the hotel and the parking in the nearby public (covered) parking was a 3-min walk. There is a height limit (1.9m I believe) but our VW Golf with roof box fitted in no problems. Seemed relatively safe. Views were excellent - our room faced the mountain with the bastille on it. The view across the rooftops is very Mary Poppins-esque Room comfort and facilities were brilliant for a travelling family - huge space with a big bathroom, separate toilet and a big storage room that I used for my bike. Beds were great, no road noise, and we slept really well. The kids loved the massive jacuzzi bath that brought some real laughs when they put a bit too much bubblebath in! Staff couldn't be more helpful with information before and during the stay. It's close to restaurants and bars and McDonalds is round the corner if you're that way inclined. It's also close to the cable car that takes you up to the bastille; ask at reception and they'll give you a card that gets you a discount on the entry fee for the cable car. For less than £95 for a room and parking in August we thought this was great value.
Cons: Family rooms are on the top floor so aren't serviced by a lift, which may not suit some people.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location location location Classic look but less classic "feel" Stuff was nice
Cons: The room was basic and needs renovation Very small loby
9,6 Excellent
Cons: The electrics are dated in the rooms. We came back to room at 11.00pm to find that the lights were not working. The very helpful duty manager resolved the lights but the sockets were not working. As we were simply going to bed it was unimportant but do not plug in too many chargers etc as this may cause issues
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect for a short dray. Breakfast is good. Rooms are big enough and the staff are so friendly. Giulia was very helpful and super nice
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely: friendly and helpful. The location is of course, excellent. The pastries at breakfast delicious and the range of local jams? Interesting and tasty. The Phillipville parking is fairly convenient--maybe a 5 minute walk (imperfect with a heavy bag) and it is designed for older tinier cars rather than newer SUVs).
Cons: They were tearing up the streets which made driving challenging--which was was OK to go? But that's not the hotel's fault.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great spacious room with everything you need. Helpful, friendly staff. Great breakfast at a reasonable price.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location near the center, close to restaurants, and with a great breakfast in the morning. Reasonable parking available within a short 5 minute walk. Staff was friendly and helpful, spoke English well.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: everything was pretty good! we didn't try the breakfast though.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Located in old center, near de commercial area and at few minutes to funicular, into a historical building. but upgraded. Excellent breakfast. The hotel give opportunity to park the car into a public parking at 5 minutes.
Cons: In front of the hotel is a nice public garden, but on some days (Friday) is noisy for the rooms situated in front of the hotel.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Central location, friendly staff, parking nearby, air conditioning, old fashioned feel to the decor.
Cons: Onsite availability of cold drinking/bottled water either free or to purchase would have been appreciated, especially during the hot weather.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing
Cons: Nothing
7,9 Good
Pros: - the staff let us check in at 12h
Cons: - small bath tub
7,1 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed, breakfast from 6 to 11 on week-ends, very quiet rooms.
Cons: Small rooms, no water pressure in shower, no room service on week-ends, breakfast barely ok. The housekeeper walked in the room despite the "do not disturb sign" hence waking me up. When she saw she could not clean up the room because I was sleeping she must have told the receptionnist... who then called in my room (waking me up another time) just to check.. I told the manager who assured me it won't happen again the day after... and it did. I dont get how a "do not disturb" sign can be misunderstood especially in a 4 star hotel...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The slots of the parking are very small, and you need to pay a lot of attention to the car
5,8 Okay
Pros: breakfast
Cons: strong musty smell in the room
6,3 Good
Pros: Design of rooms, despite rooms are very basic. May be breakfast is good for France.
Cons: Shower in the room was not working properly. Only one iron in the hotel, guests have to wait in queue to press their stuff, that is stupid.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fine. No issues.
Cons: If I could change something, it would be the parking situation. For someone who is not accustomed to park in tight spaces, the parking was a nightmare. I had to have someone help me to avoid hitting the walls. It took a while to park every time because of that.

7,1 Good
Pros: The lcoation was great, five minutes walk from the station and metres from two of the tram lines. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. I asked for a quiet room and got exactly that, I could sleep with the windows open without problems. Some of my colleagues were at the front of the building and complained of noise at night.
Cons: No air conditioning made for a hot room. The room felt pretty dated, particularly the bathroom which had lots of chipped tiles etcetera. The wifi was very slow and patchy, both in the room and downstairs.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The rooms were clean. The staff went above and beyond to help us out when an item was left in the room during our stay.
Cons: No A\C in the rooms was improved by the fans in each rooms, but some rooms could use larger fans.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Easy clean and comfi place in the middle of Grenoble. very good price. I didn't try the breakfast
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms, locationvery nearatramstopsndthe mainstation
Cons: Very small shower cubicle and no aircon ( it was 30 degrees outside) but at least a fan was provided. I asked for twin beds instead of a double and even though I booked months in advance they weren't able to accommodate this.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, a few minutes walk from the main station and not too far from the old town. Great breakfast, friendly staff and comfortable, if slightly small, room.
Cons: It was very hot while we were staying here and even with a fan, the room was hot all night so it was hard to sleep. Although I really liked this hotel if I ever need to stay in Grenoble again in the summer, I will be looking for somewhere with air con.
7,9 Good
Pros: Good price for a small room
Cons: Small bathroom without a real shower, just a bathtube with no curtains so you has to flood the whole bathroom when you tool a shower
9,6 Excellent

Cons: No air-conditioner

Cons: It would be better if there is an air conditioner!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice very clean room, nice location, very easy to reach from the train station, and very nice personal. especially a lady (forgot to ask her name!), she explained me a lot about the city. It was really hot outside but in the room was not that bad. I had a good night. And it was quiet!
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The room was very convenient (close to the station) and a short walk to the main part of town. The staff was incredible. The woman who checked me in was helpful and very kind. The staff also had a very cute dog that welcomed me :)
4,2 Okay
Cons: No air conditioning and the room was extremely hot. Even offered a free cancellation. Retrospectively, should have taken it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Old charm.
Cons: Nothing.
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. I expected to struggle with French, but people spoke English. There was noise in the street into the night once and that woke me up. I suggest a bigger bar of soap, sweet scent for the room when it is cleaned. I was surprised that the room was not locked after it had been cleaned (I did not leave anything valuable but it occurred to me that this is not a nice thing -one is entitled to privacy as long as he complies with the rules). The family air can be augmented with a some cheerful and colourful pictures on the hallways.
Cons: Please see #3 above
6,3 Good
Pros: The location is nice, 5min walk to the train station. Staff is kind. Cannot complain too much -- it is not expensive.
Cons: The room is full of the smell of detergent. The mattress is somewhat broken. There is a fan in the room, but does not help much in a hot day in Grenoble. With the heat and smell of the detergent, we have to open the window during the night, but then it was noisy.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: - 5 min walking distance from the Funicular - 3 min walking distance from the river banks - 3 min walking distance from the nearest supermarket - The room was clean and cozy - The staff was really helpful - Even though there was no electric teapot in the room you could get some hot water from the front desk. - You can see the Bastille from the higher floor balconies
Cons: - Parking might be difficult. You can't park on the street during the day for more than 2,5 hours, but parking during (from 19:00) the night is free. - Some of the staff can't speak proper English.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: In-house breakfast and staff a bonus for this property along with location
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Close to railway station! Although there was no aircon there was a fan in the room that kept the heat manageable. Nice little shower room. Great value for money.
Cons: —

Pros: Clean room and the hotel restaurant was decent.

Pros: We were on the way to the Alps. We liked the closed parking so we could keep the bikes at the car. Beds were good. Very good breakfast (especially compared to typical French breakfast). Rooms were clean. Good hotel as a stopover to continue your yournee next day
7,9 Good
Pros: Off street parking. Friendly reception. Clean room. Comfy bed.
Cons: The room smelt of cigarettes which was disappointing. There were also some expired flouro tubes that flashed either side of the TV all the time.
7,5 Good
Pros: On the other hand, bathroom was clean. Also bed lining was clean and smelled ok, once we managed top get the stale smell out of the room. Biggest plus of the place are receptionists. We had a pleasure of dealing with 2 and both were very helpful, nice and smiling. Secure parking is also a plus
Cons: Hallways and the room itself smelled stale. We had to open windows to make it manageable. Hotel definitely needs a small renovation, at least a change of old carpets. Room was dusty and not perfectly clean. The AC unit was dusty. The bed headboard was dusty and had some greasy fingerprints from previous guests I'm assuming. Wall was stained in several places - coffee or orange juice. There also was a dead mosquito stuck on the wall. Probably killed by some previous guests and not cleaned up by cleaning staff. Overall cleanliness of the room was below average. Breakfast was ok, typical french choices. However parts of buffet were constantly empty as there seemed to be just 1 breakfast staff. Receptionist was helping her and they were both running all the time, but they clearly needed another 1 or 2 people. Plus, the receptionists also had to take care of checkouts at the same time. Heavily understaffed breakfast.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: very good breakfast .every where very clean and tidy
Cons: bathroom always very hot. extractor fan not working ?
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very nice and helpfull :)

9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, good parking, very good breakfast
Cons: Furniture was old
9,2 Excellent
Pros: A rather quirky hotel but lovely for its individuality. There had been a lot of attention to detail in the decor of the hotel and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The receptionist was very welcoming and very helpful with directions to places of interest. We travelled by car and so the inexpensive secure parking was a bonus. There was no noise in the hotel from other guests and no noise from outside and we had an excellent night's sleep as it was so quiet. The buffet breakfast was good with lots of local produce. The wifi worked well. The hotel was close to the things that we wanted to see and enabled us to have a good look around Grenoble.
Cons: The fact that our stay was so short - just one night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Small intimate atmosphere
Cons: Nothing
4,2 Okay
Pros: The staff was nice and helpful
Cons: Not the best choice we had made. The hotel is pretty dirty and doesn’t look anything like the photos on the site. The room had old furniture, the bathroom was pretty dirty as well. Definitely not an experience we would repeat.

Pros: The hotel is just 2 blocks away from train station, which is good for late comers through train station. The staff is friendly and helpful. I feel cool in its low level room with provided fan. Sheets are white and clean.
Cons: The room is rather compact, old decors and furnitures. There is a heater but no refrigerator nor air condition.
8,3 Excellent

Cons: They charged me again after I had prepaid online with bookings.com. However they repaid my money after I returned to complain about 3 days later.
7,1 Good
Pros: There was nothing exceptional, but most things were as they were supposed to be. The room, bed, bathroom and overall facilities are okay. The staff is fine too. The breakfast is good.
Cons: I arrived 14h30 and my room was not ready (although I said beforehand my time of arrival). I was in the city to see a soccer match and I would like to eat something before it. I asked if they had another room ready and they didn't, then the staff said that there were other people also waiting and that I should wait as well to do the check-in when the room is ready. I said that I was there for the match and I would like to go out soon. Then, she replied me back saying that the match wouldn't start in 3h and that I had time, so I could wait. This was completely unpolite.

Cons: For the price- nothing

Pros: Good location. About 15mins walk from the garage (train, tram and coach station) Courteous staff but small room, small bed and very small bathroom. Just enough for single guest and good for short stay.
Cons: Very small bathroom
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed! Very cheap to bring a pet
Cons: Colours of the rooms
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Car parking was secure beneath the commercial centre
Cons: Room was awful, small and nasty smell. No coffee facilities, not even a glass for water . Poor state of repair, needs redecorating. Linen threadbare. Breakfast was poor, first come first served so if you arrive after 8am there is nothing left. Bar wasn't open. No food available. Free WiFi did not work. I would rate this hotel as less than 1 star!
5,0 Okay
Pros: Could see car park
Cons: Air conditioning needed to work - hot and claustrophobic - not impressed with Grenoble - the low point in an otherwise brilliant french road trip.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly, very helpful and accomodating. Hotel is older style but comfortable and with nice atmosphere. Great location close to city centre. Public transport only metres away.
Cons: A/ Con was a little under strength but not uncomfortably so
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, right next to a stop of tramline C and about 15 minutes walking from Place Grenette in the city centre. Staff was very friendly and always went out of their way to help or just for a chat. The one-person room was spatious and clean and had excellently working airconditioning. Nice building with an interesting history. I would stay again!
Cons: The price-quality for the breakfast was not great.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast.
Cons: Unfortunately I have a serious criticism to do. yesterday on arrival we alerted the receptionist that the air conditioner did not heat the room. He asked us to wait 20 mins to warm up. As it did not heat we requested blankets and the boy said had them in the rooms. We warned again that there was not and the boy only believed when he went up to the room and saw that there was not. Then we go out to dinner and the boy said he would put the thick sheets on the bed because the girls had not put them on. However, when we arrived the boy did not and showed us where were near the reception. He said that he did not have time to put it on the bed and he asked us to put them by ourselves. We were astonished and the helpful guy that works on restaurant heard and help us to put them on the bed. We thought that the receptionist and hotel the very negligence, as it all, it was a big lack of respect with us. In short: A)the air conditioner did not heat; B) there were no blankets or thick sheets; C) the boy at the reception was trully disrespectful, arrogant and told us put the thick sheets on the bed, wich was something that should have been done when we got to the room.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good. Good selection of food. Reception staff at check in was very helpful.
Cons: Room was very small and decor was poor. Website indicates only rooms which look large with double beds which is quite deceptive. Very basic room. Very limited choice of channels on TV. Carpet broken and worn, wall damaged in places.

Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Old fashioned furniture

Pros: good location
Cons: a little outdated

8,8 Excellent
Pros: -Staff were so kind. - Hotel was clean. - Hotel location was good
Cons: - Room was small. - water was not free in compare to other hotels.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent for our needs – a stone’s throw from the train station (great for a 6 am departure) and also just in the city’s excellent tram system. Checkin was a breeze. Twin beds were promised and provided — the room was compact but space was arranged well. The bathroom worked nicely, including an excellent shower.
Cons: The main drawback was that the smell of the room was just a bit “off” – not awful bit a little unpleasant, noticeable mostly in the first 10 minutes or so after entering. The desk provided air freshener – helpful, but still. Guests should also be aware that the bathroom door is a stall-type door — quite large but not complete, so privacy is not full.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: A very nice modern hotel very close to the city centre with underground parking. On arrival the lady on the desk was extremely helpful as she and the other staff were throughout the stay. The main road was surprisingly quiet over the 2 days so a very enjoyable visit.
Cons: Nothing
6,3 Good

Cons: The Wi-Fi worked randomly / mostly not. The air conditioning didn’t work in the room the last night...while tropical conditions outside...
7,5 Good
Pros: Bed was really comfy so had a good sleep, room was clean and suited what we needed for a long weekend trip.
Cons: I was charged for an extra room so had to tell them, so please check, payment wasn't updated on computer so through no fault of receptionist she asked for extra room, however no apology and couldn't remember that I had paid cash 5 minutes before! Restaurant food was good but not enough staff so dont expect a fast service.

Pros: Location was perfect with plenty of restaurants nearby. We had such a warm welcome upon arrival, our room was upgraded and we were given advice on where to park motorbike. Pros: The location was great for us as the hotel is close to the train station and we arrived on a late train. There are also a couple of restaurants located at the end of the street so we didn't need to travel too far for dinner. The owner let us store our bicycles in the basement which was great. Check out time is 11am so we had a chance to explore the city by foot in the morning before heading off.
Cons: Nothing to complain about - it had everything we needed.

Cons: Scaffolding and building work let it down a bit but still a really good deal.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, good and well arranged parking facilities, excellent breakfast! Friendly staff!
7,5 Good
Pros: - Close to city centre and the cable car to the Bastille. - Parking for our car on-site. - Wide selection of meals for breakfast. - Close to motorway so it was really easy to arrive and depart by car, which was our way of travel.
Cons: - As with all Novotel hotels we stayed in, the scrambled eggs looked and tasted like polystyrene. - Due to its location next to the Grenoble World Trade Center, it seemed to me more like a bizz hotel than a family one.
