10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Cons: The restaurants in the area could have had better food.
6,0 Good
Pros: I liked coffee in the room. I liked seeing the lake as I walked out in the morning. I liked being able to walk to hiking trails from the hotel.
Cons: It was dated. I wish we had access to a pool or hot tub. I think it should have been less expensive for the off season. There was very few open restaurants as many were closed for season. It would have improved the value if they had served breakfast.
7,9 Good
Pros: Check out time was too early
Cons: The location was wonderful
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The view was great & we love the location, right by the lake.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We love this place! Been coming up from fort collins for years and will continue to do so!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Our room was big and very comfortable. It was particularly warm given that outside temperatures dropped to 18F. The location is perfect - overlooking Grand Lake and a short walk to shops and restaurants. There was 2 to 3 inches of snow during our 2 day stay, however, staff cleaned off walkways and board walks. Our stay was made more enjoyable with the snow. We made use of the microwave and fridge to make our own breakfast.
Cons: There is some noise from other rooms, particularly above, however, this was not a problem for us.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Private with gorgeous views. The pictures on the website are the same as what you get in real life.
Cons: It would be really nice if you guys could have a cabin or a room where people can bring their dogs.
7,1 Good
Pros: We could walk around the corner from the restaurants and the shops to our room
Cons: First person checking us in, wasn’t very friendly
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great view of lake. People in town real friendly. Cute town. Room and bathroom great. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: It was all great.

6,0 Good
Cons: I didn't think the lady running it was very friendly. Not a real pet friendly hotel, no place to walk them on site. I liked the location right next to everything in town. Room was very small, with a separate extra bedroom. Didn't use it though. Very small
3,0 Mediocre
Cons: no hot water for the shower when the sink was plenty hot, hot tub was broken, heat in the room barely worked. fridge had frozen meal still in the fridge from previous guest. paper thin walls.
7,0 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: Rooms are really loud.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: General appearance and especially the location.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: We really liked the proximity to downtown. The owner's were very accomodating:)
Cons: The room rate should have been less than it was during the off season. Grand Lake was VERY quiet, not a lot open.
7,0 Good
Pros: The hotel provides a quiet atmosphere. Its location is excellent.
5,0 Okay
Pros: television and warm
Cons: no coffee pot for coffee in am no air conditioning. Got in the 90s
7,0 Good
Pros: Location Definately met our 1 night stay Room was very clean probably wouldn't stay there for an extended time. Was small but had two queens. one in a separate room. Staff was very nice. WIFI was faster than ours at home.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: The owner. And the false advertising about the pet fee. Their website says $20 fee but then the owner charged us 20 per night per pet! She is a scam artist.
1,0 Poor
Pros: It is rooms are pretty standard, not the nicest but not really run down, so what you had expect from a 2 Star hotel. The nicest thing about this hotel is it is close to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Cons: Arrived at 11 pm to find no one at the desk and no one to answer the phone, after calling the number 6 times a guy finally showed up and seemed very annoyed that I had booked a room and that I wanted to sleep in the bed I payed for. Very poor service.
7,1 Good
Pros: location, atmosphere and comfortable
Cons: Could of had more towel racks and waste baskets
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, very clean, great location to Grand lake, RMNP and close to Grandby.
Cons: Nothing
Grand Lake Lodge - Grand Lake - Building

8,3 Excellent (173 reviews)

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Grand Lake Lodge in Grand Lake, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Kawuneeche Visitor Center and Adams Falls Trail. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
7,5 Good
Cons: The shower in the half cabin was very small and very dark. I am a small person and it was difficult to shave my legs also missed a lot of spots because it was hard to see. My fiancé is significantly bigger than I am and hit his head on the shower head and had a hard time washing up.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice location, cabins were a bit rustic but quaint.
Cons: Restaurant was overwhelmed with amount of guests.
4,6 Okay
Pros: View
Cons: No restaurant..no coffee cups...faulty ceiling fan...missing light bulbs..inadequate heating (cold), no information in room (instructions), desk info sketchy...a disappointing experience, VERY LOW VALUE. IN THE FUTURE WE’LL BE MAKING ESTES PARK CHOICE OF LODGING
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location and views were excellent. The main lodge was excellent. The staff we’re very accommodating, but we could tell they were gearing up for the end of the season.
Cons: The breakfast buffet was very good, but we only had it for one day of our two day stay. The restaurant and bar were closing for the season. The cabin was pretty small, but we knew that in advance, so have no complaints about it.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was closed, so we had to go downtown to the Sagebrush. We had breakfast and dinner there. Both were excellent.
Cons: We did not see the baseboard heaters until morning. So we spent a pretty cold night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Grand Lake Lodge itself. Been visiting for years now and will be back next year. Have their been changes, yes. From folksy family run culminating in corporate ownership it is still a charming spot. Young staff and hats off to Tyler, a hospitality management student, who presented himself as an owner in all that he did. Sure we miss some stuff from years past but the industry is changing and people demand things that would have been unthinkable in the past e.g. TV.
Cons: Mixed some favorites from the dinner menu but so.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The view of the lake from the restaurant dining room.
Cons: The noise from the room right next to our room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location was beautiful, great for hiking and gorgeous views. Restaurant was fine.
Cons: Room was quite small and could have used some upgrades on heating systems, etc. But it was quite adequate
7,1 Good
Pros: Wonderful grounds, pool, hot tub.
Cons: Could have used a closet in the room. Since it was the last weekend, food was limited with staff.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Right on the edge of town. Very close to the lake! The cabin was stocked with seasonings for cooking a pleasant surprise!
Cons: Cabins are super close to each other. We were the only ones staying at the time so it was very quaint. Otherwise, it would be interesting to see what it would be like to be in such close proximity to others especially they were loud.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms with an especially nice kitchen.
6,3 Good
Pros: The town was awesome. We will go again but will stay somewhere else.
Cons: The cabin we had picked we didn’t get. They tried to put us in a run down cabin that smelled like a camp fire. The one we chose had a gas fireplace and was newer. The owner told us that bookings.com had over booked that cabin.that cabin was off the Main Street So then we told them that the cabin he gave us wasn’t going to work these cabins weren’t even in the same area as the one we picked. So we ended up getting a older cabin off of the Main Street. They tried to charge us 140.00 more then what we agreed on . So NO I don’t think I will go back to them. It should have been a stress free transaction and it was not. It took over a hour dealing with all this mess.
7,5 Good
Pros: It was very quiet; nice to have a little kitchen to fix breakfast. Heating was good.
Cons: Chilly bathroom; shower curtain missing rings. No bath mat. Very soft bed.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location of the cabin however thought it would be over by the main lodge.
Cons: The sofa was worn out and pillows a bit worn.

9,0 Excellent
Cons: over priced
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of room for our luggage and extra things.
7,0 Good
Pros: For 1 night it works fine. If I was staying longer I would want more for my accomodation. Otherwise a nice place.
Cons: Met expectations for a motel
7,9 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly, bed was very comfortable, good pillows. Great location to RMNP and downtown and lake access, price was fair. They accomodated early check in which I greatly appreciated.
Cons: Room was dated with flourescent fixtures and carpet but overall was very clean. Water pressure not very good (maybe the showerhead), parking lot is small and tight, hard to get in and out even with a small truck. People standing around early and talking, closing doors. Walls are thin so noise travels.
6,0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Dated
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Snow in parking lot.
7,0 Good
Pros: We were able to check in a little early, which was appreciated since we were traveling with a recently potty trained toddler. The location was good, and being able to park right in front of our door was great.
Cons: Walls are thin, you could hear everything both from the parking area and from the rooms on either side of us.
7,1 Good
Pros: Convenient location, on the edge of town so we could walk to town if we wanted but easily drive out to get to the park.
Cons: It's dated, and a little pricey. It's a good price compared to the updated places in Grand Lake but you still pay a lot for a room that would be cheaper anywhere else.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: While the accommodation was basic, the room was spotless and the owner was super funny. Great location, too.
Cons: Not really. Better than I expected.
6,7 Good
Pros: I liked the shower, the size of the beds, and the tv. The owner was kind enough to switch my reservation date at the last minute without a fee.
Cons: I didn't like how expensive it was for a basic room. It didn't have conditioner in the shower, and anyone with hair knows that you need conditioner - esp when it was advertised to have toiletries.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and spacious.
Cons: Not anything to put here. :)
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice rooms and nice Hot tub
Cons: Hot tub hours only 3 - 9 only. Parking spaces limited
