the hotel was fine and the staff great. the only problem was the garbage truck coming in front of the hotel at 5.30 am and making noise

Two minutes from the fantastic market square, very clean and friendly, peaceful at night, free parking (pretty much essential in Goslar) and a great encouragement to visit the whole town on foot. By the way, we ate twice at the Aubergine restaurant, 100m from the hotel and opposite the church, and would heartily recommend it as the best we found and of a very high standard - try the confit duck breast!

Excellent location, friendly staff, good breakfast and off street parking facility.
Older customers may find the absence of a lift a bit of a problem. Also, people with allergies should notice that the family running the hotel have a large dog, but he is friendly and inoffensive. The room decoration is a bit dated, but not a problem to us.
