Pros: Excellent location on a quiet street, yet only 10min walk away from the city centre. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I've had recently. Clean, spacious room. Historical building from the outside, yet very modern and stylish on the inside.

Pros: One of the most amazing hotels I’ve stayed at with real human capital. The staff were absolutely amazing. I had someone waiting for me while I was getting done. They offered this person a ‘waiting coffee’ and when I joined gave me a complimentary coffee and croissant to join my person. The attention to detail and friendliness was legendary for a European hotel. The room was as a great size and bathroom luxurious. I would stay at this hotel on every stay and wish more establishments could be this way. The lady that helped me and was hospitable to my guest was a Romanian national. I don’t have a name but we’ll done to u.

Cons: The only gripe was that the bar closes at midnight on a Saturday night. Couldn't even have a cup of tea with a group of friends, because the coffee machine was already switched off (I would suggest obtaining a separate tea-kettle to avoid lost business).

In a city brimming with history at every corner, the NH Gent Belfort balances Ghent’s past with a healthy dose of refined Belgian modernity. Pros: Situated in the heart of Gent, great location guaranteed. The hotel's services certainly are of a high standard and except for a few slight annoyances below it definitely fulfills usual needs.
Cons: Generally, window insulation was rather poor - both in terms of heat (bathroom quite cold in the morning) and sound (early construction work on the street). Also, mains sockets not found around the beds...
7,0 Good
Pros: The location was fantastic - within walking distance to most sites. Staff at check-in and in the lounge were pleasant and answered questions about the area.
Cons: Carpet in the room was stained and looked dirty. Bugs in the tub and brown water came out of the shower upon initial use.
7,9 Good
Pros: Great location. Nice modern room. Friendly staff.
Cons: Not all rooms are modern. First room not so good, so asked to move. As a NH rewards member I was disappointed this was necessary. Staff were very accommodating and moved us without fuss.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location, the newly renovated rooms are beautiful!
Cons: Price was a little high for the city I thought. Location was very good, but still a bit pricey all things considered, especially for a Thursday night stay...

Pros: Excellent location which was great for exploring Gent, friendly staff and very big comfy room! Enjoyed our stay
Cons: Had a slight issue with reception not picking up calls from the room but was quickly resolved and able to check out later as a sorry. Which was very kind.
7,0 Good
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: We found a plastic packaging and invoice from a former guest, not very well cleaned. Also one of the switches in the bathroom was missing a knob
6,0 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is fantastic, really central and close to main attractions of the city. The breakfast is good and abundant.
Cons: Despite having a really big room which was great, the status of the room was far from great. The carpets were old, stained and worn off, most of the furniture was scratched, the sofas didn't look very clean and the curtains stained and the overall room was really not up to par to what I would expect from a NH hotel.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: It was quite warm while we were there and the hotel's air conditioning wasn't operating properly.
10,0 Excellent

Pros: Location and atmosphere
Cons: Still under remodel.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful friendly staff and great location
Cons:
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location was fabulous and the atmosphere was charming.
Cons: They do not have many parking spots available and we had trouble parking on the premises. Also, I think they are doing renovations and so some areas were not the cleanest.
7,0 Good
Pros: Very easy to get into the centre, staff were lovely, chapel is fantastic and the place has a great vibe.
Cons: Couldnt park on site, too warm, teenagers screaming all night from the youthhostel next door, decor is a bit institutional - but it retains the monastic character.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable accommodation
Cons:
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, really cool property renovation. Very close to center, good restaurants.
Cons: They use a low- quality taxi service - it took far too long to get a taxi.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location is great close to the center. It is an old historical priest house with rooms nicely renovated and with all modern comforts.
Cons: No elevator to reach the rooms. Receptionist not super friendly
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast options were very good. Location to main square also very good. Staff was very accommodating.
Cons: Difficult to see hotel signage on the street. More lighting in the yard would be appreciated when coming in late at night. Lack of elevator slightly inconvenient with heavy luggage.

Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect. Very close to the center, restaurants, bars. The room is very conformable and clean. The amenities in the bedroom, minibar are nice also. I did not use the breakfast service as I preferred to have it outside.

Pros: Great location, nice room offered with a bath tub (thank you again to the reception staff!), comfy bed. For a quick one night getaway, this was perfect.
Cons: The layout of the second building is a bit wierd, and the signage to get to your room is not very clear. There should also be clear signage in the elevator about which rooms are on which floor. We snooped around and found the basement gym was more a spare mattress storage than a gym, but there was a sauna there which was working. Also, the €18 charge per person for breakfast seemed a bit steep. €15 would have been on the top end of our budget, that's why we didn't go for it.

Pros: Location is excellent, very central. Our room was warm and comfy. Everything seemed clean, though once you are out of the main reception area the corridors are a bit gloomy. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast was pretty awful. There were flies all over the fruit salad, and when we told a staff member she just wiped them off with a cloth! I found a dead fly floating in my yoghurt - disgusting. Coffee was horrible and nearly undrinkable. I felt the hygiene standards of the food and drink was probably quite bad overall.

Pros: Nice location, comfortable, clean room and facilities. Good and generous breakfast although we missed it a couple days due to poor communication at the front desk.
Cons: We arrived in Ghent very late 11 PM. Reception desk was confused and sent us to the wrong room. It was occupied by naked people who were busy on the bed when we walked in. Amusing for us but very embarrassing for the hotel clerk. He compensated with free beer and apologies. In the excitement he forgot to tell us the breakfast area was located on the 3rd floor. We missed breakfast the first 2 mornings. Another minor irritation was the same dirty coffee cup was left in the room for 3 days, while the bed and everything else was cleaned up. Despite the small gaffes the staff were mostly friendly and helpful and the hotel was nice. We would stay here again.

Pros: Location, free parking
Cons: The Hotel said there was a coffee machine in each room. This is not true. We had a kettle. The person on reception said some rooms have a kettle and some have a coffee machine. I was told if I wanted a coffee I could buy one at the bar. Not what I expected. The room was quite tired with wallpaper about to fall off the wall and the carpet more like a plastic sheet.

Pros: Nice location of the hotel and free parking (although limited). The booking didn't show correctly on the hotel's system so they have us a twin room instead of double - but the staff was helpful and changed the room for us. Room was good.
Cons: The bed has two very small pillows which were not very comfortable and didn't cover the whole bed. The shower in the bath is placed strangely so it was not possible to have a shower without getting lots of water on the floor. We booked a room without breakfast but during the check-in staff insisted that it was included. It was very embarrassing when we got down to breakfast and the breakfast was indeed not included.

Pros:
Cons: The lady on reception during the morning/early afternoon was not friendly and not helpful, I felt like we were always wrong and she had an answer for everything. The booking said city taxes included however we had to pay on arrival. We asked her if she had change for 10€, she said they only had change for 5€, but when we changed that she had ample change in the tin! Apart from her, we couldn’t fault the hotel and the breakfast was great.

Pros: The location was perfect for me because it was close to the places where I had meetings and in the morning it was fairly easy to get out of Ghent. The room was clean and everything other than the light in the bathroom worked as intended.
Cons: The room was in another building for which the instructions were confusing. Could've made it clear if the receptionist would just walk to the exit and show me which way the other building is. No parking meant that I had to leave the car in a nearby parking garage and pay extra. The light in the bathroom was kinda broken, the switch didn't function properly and one of the light bulbs was exposed which is a bit risky in a bathroom.
7,5 Good
Pros: I loved that they serve proper coffee for breakfast, which is rich and diverse. The location is excellent, the room is okay: neat and clean.
Cons: The basic room temperature was 17C, which I find rather low in November. I could heat it up in about an hour till 21.5C. But once you remove the electronic card (because you’re leaving the room) heating stops working.

This means that inside the room you can hear (and smell) everything that is going on within the bathroom - be it the other person taking a shower, be it something else. Apparently this is a thing: the open bathroom concept. I had no idea that something like that even existed, and I wouldn't recommend such a room to anyone.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Great location and staff were friendly and professional
Cons: We had to stay in a "2nd" property over the road from the hotel which had a domentary feel to it with no comforts or facilities - very dissapointed at this. Many basic amenities missing for a 4* hotel
9,1 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful and very modern. Very quiet--the new part of the hotel is in a building about a block away from the original building and is set back from the street.
Cons: The 15:00 check in time is very strict and the place to leave your bags is out in the open and not very well supervised. Anyone could walk in from the street and take a bag, the front desk wasn't always staffed. This is tough on travelers relying on public transportation. Breakfast was quite expensive (€21 per person for a buffet) so we opted to find food on our own. Unfortunately, very little is open before 11:00, so finding your own breakfast is difficult.

Pros: I got a great deal on the booking website, and was very happy with the service and breakfast and room, all very good, and a good location in old town Gent.
Cons: receptionist did not smile once when booking us in or asking questions.

Pros: Breakfast was good, staff was friendly.
Cons: the hotel will close in 6 months, so no maintenance has taken place for some time. The room was poorly decorated, furniture was out-dated and worn out. Couch was covered with large stains; mattress was hard / not comfortable etc.etc. The hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel but it was not even close to 4 stars. I had to pay 273,-; 80,- would have been reasonable (incl. breakfast).

Pros: Helpful staff, and rotative good location
Cons: Hotel room getting old, would need refreshed soon

Pros: The front desk personnel were very professional and friendly. I liked the location as well.
Cons: The assigned parking lot for this hotel. Consider yourself lucky if you can find a space for your vehicle if you drive here.

Pros: Not a lot to like apart from the Gentlemen on reception who was lovely .
Cons: Shabby room and very dirty. Dust and debris behind the door in the toilet. Poor standard of cleanliness and sofa was stained. I would not stay here again.

Pros: the staff are so nice and friendly. the location is good near station.
Cons: we didnt have much choices for breakfast. they dont take people who dont eat some pork or other meat in their priority, because the spoon was the same to use to some pork and for vegetables. pity, my mother who doesnt eat any red meat or product from it like cheese and milk, couldnt eat except fruits while we had to pay about 17 euro each. its not expensive but if we knew there is no much choices to eat for my mother we would like to get breakfast somewhere else.
