Loved the Hotel, Perfect location and comfortable

The Location The Bar The rooms The style

The staff was helpful enough, but not the most welcoming front desk I have ever come across. The breakfast room is a bit like a cave.

Great hotel one heart of Galway

Beautiful hotel with spacious and elegant rooms at the center and heart of Galway, only a 1 minute walk to the train station and a 3 minute walk to the Latin quarter. The hotel is in a beautiful stone turn of the century building that has been updated with all modern amenities. The rooms make you feel like you're staying in a palace.

About

Overview

Traveling to the West Coast of Ireland? Hotel Meyrick, a luxury hotel in Galway, is the perfect destination to enjoy the ambiance of Galway’s numerous festivals, escape from the bustling city, and serve as a corporate venue. Already acknowledged as Galway’s leading destination for over 165 years, the hotel is currently under refurbishment and development to further enhance guest’s experiences.

Hotel Meyrick is in an unrivaled location in the heart of Galway City, overlooking what locals still call Eyre Square. The Grand Dame of Galway hotels, the Meyrick is just a one-minute walk from transportation sources such as the train and bus stations. It is also within a short stroll of the best shops on William Street, Shop Street, and Quay Street, as well as theatres, restaurants, and bars of Galway. Hotel Meyrick’s location is often the backdrop for many key festival highlights that take place in the area such as Galway Oyster Festival, Baboró Arts Festival, Food on the Edge, and the Vodafone Comedy Carnival.

The historic hotel was built in 1852 to cater for Victorian travelers; now it's a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. The hotel offers a range of dining options to choose from. Enjoy afternoon tea in the Parlour lounge, cocktails and light bites in the stylish Gaslight Bar and Brasserie, or opt for dinner in the AA Rosette Award winning- No.15 on the Square restaurant. Private dining, family celebrations, and corporate events are also privately catered to.

Luxury accommodations come in 97 elegant rooms including standard and executive rooms and junior and executive suites. All rooms come with standard amenities, complimentary WiFi, and some upgraded rooms offer views of Eyre Square. The fifth floor also offers access to a spa.
