I’m currently trying to have the charges to my credit card refunded. I used a card that is only digital and they refused to accept it since they don’t have card machines that take chip/tap payments. As of now I have paid twice. The employee was rude and not helpful with understanding their odd pick up process. I’ve never had to go out into the lot and pick a car I wanted and just jump in and drive off. It was easy but confusing and had to get someone from the car return area to assist me. The car was not in the best condition as far as cleanliness. The interior of the windshield was dirty with smudges and I ended up going to a car wash. Normally I would just clean the windshield myself but as a traveler the cost of winded, towels and the fact that most of it would be wasted was just as cost effective as a basic car wash. Knowing how this works now I would use fox again but I will not accept another car that had visibility issues from a dirty windshield. If customer service was good and the process explained thoroughly it would have been a much better experience. As of now I’d give it a 2 out of 5 ….. you get what you pay for.Reviewed Mar 28 2024

Pros:Staff was fine, but not enough employees to handle the amount of business. It's not cool for a Rep to get up and leave for break/lunch during a busy time. Cons:I was told by the employee at drop-off that the vehicle was dirty and would require a $75 fee. There was no damage to the vehicle, and the issue was with dust that had accumulated during our hiking. We were told that the fee was necessary because Fox would need to devote exceptional time and effort to cleaning the vehicle. My wife and I then proceeded to bang out the carpets with our hands, despite being short on time, and removed 90% of the dirt that way. The associate then agreed that the car was not worthy of a cleaning fee. So if we were able to sufficiently clean the car in less than five minutes with nothing more than our hands - why would a Fox associate say it required $75 extra? Vacuuming the car is a service I expect will be included in the price of rental. Nothing destructive had happened to the vehicle. There were no bodily fluids or chemicals or anything else that wouldn’t have come out with a simple vacuum and a wipe-down of the floor area. What this suggested to me was that Fox tries to sucker-punch its customers with exploitative fees as they are struggling to make their flights because they expect that we will have limited time to fight the charge. Even if we had left a hard-to-clean mess, the fee of $75 was totally exorbitant. It would have been almost 50% of the total rental. Associates need better training as to what constitutes a destructive mess versus something that can be cleaned with a simple wet cloth and vacuum. As I said, if we were able to “fix” the mess with our hands by banging out the carpets, it’s clear that this wasn’t something worthy of a $75 charge. This experience came after we had to replace the first car we got off the lot because of a slow leak in one of the tires. We also had to deal with extremely long lines during pickup and aggressive sales tactics. The whole car rental industry seems to be geared around screwing customers out of every cent possible, and Fox is no exception.Reviewed Mar 7 2021

Cons:Requires 2 shuttle rides from the airport to get to location. Staff were very unfriendly and appeared annoyed to be helping customers. Pick-up process took over 90 min.
