Worst car rental experience ever! I got a late night voicemail less than 12 hours before I was supposed to pick up my rental saying the location for my pick up was closed (I had made my reservation 3 months prior). On the morning when I was supposed to pick up my car to go home for the holidays, Hertz informed me there was no car available for me in the entire Chicago area. I was on the phone with them for an hour and they did absolutely nothing. I will never rent from them again.

Pick up took an hour, but it was a busy day during what I imagine is a very busy season. However, what was unacceptable was that the car had clearly been smoked in by the last user and the smell lingered. Additionally it was only half full with gas when I picked it up

I liked the pickup and drop off services but too much was going on with car: BUDGET CAR RENTAL USB SOCKET NOT WORKING, SMELL WIRE BURNING, SEAT BELT STUCK, THEY TOLD ME TO GO TO BUDGET TO EXCHANGE WHEN I WENT TO BUDGET TGE WORKER SEEN THE CAR FULLY PACKED AND DID NOT GIVE ME ANOTHER CAR BIT GAVE ME A USB CORD WHICH DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. 😔

Confirmation quoted $304 to pay at pickup. The agent charged me $504 (security deposit and price of rental). As I was not prepared to pay that much at pickup, my credit card was declined. Had they been honest about the payment due at pickup I would have made sure I had enough on my card. Additionally, they refused to take a debit card even under extenuating circumstances and left me and my friend stranded the day of my sister’s wedding rehearsal.
Whole experience of great! And yes it's an old location , and it is a hot Basement ,,, But Every interraction with Staff was excellent !!!!

I forgot to ask about the Toll usage, that could have been explained with options available. However overall experience was great. Customer service was fantastic. Specifically I would like to highlight the almo rep at the pickup location, Sidnei, who was extremely helpful and provided amazing service to pick up the car. Upon dropping off the car at MSP, I was met by James from Alamo who was fantastic at receiving my rental drop-off and provided service with a great smile. All thanks to the staff at Alamo. Great experience.!
Pick up was all over the place. Didn't have the car i requested. Drop off was very good. Everything else was fine.

my credit card number was stolen and used within hours of picking up car, giving my credit card info to sixt employees. My credit card co believes it was likely this car rental that took/used my card illegally.

Where to START? My husband carefully researched this and we paid ahead of time with your service. We get to Ohare at 5:30 a.m. and expect a car, ready for us? NOPE. No car for you...you have to get 23 miles all the way downtown Chicago and pick up your car there. Nothing we can do about it, says the SixT agent. No help whatsover. NONE. I wait 5+ hourse for my husband to hire a Lyft to get downtown (23 miles there at CONSIDERABLE cost). He finally gets back to Ohare to pick me and our luggage up about 11 a.m....making a long trip from the West Coast an even longer trip with major headaches, too. Would NEVER recommend SixT to anyone. Nope. No offer of shuttle to get said car. No offer to help at all. Absolutely horrid customer service.
