Hotel Londra Palace - Venice - Building
1
9,3 Excellent (934 reviews)
R6 906+
Overview Reviews
With its 100 windows overlooking the San Marco basin, the Londra Palace has been the the perfect retreat those who enjoy authentic locations which don’t just conform with current fashions. The view is always enchanting: choose between the San Marco Basin and the Venetian Lagoon the one hand, or the historic city’s roofs and bell towers on the other. Our Concierge Clefs d’Or and the reception staff, available 24 hours a day, will be leased to point them out to you. The Do Leoni Restaurant focuses on the unique and magical moment of the evening, without haste, with an elegant service where creative dishes and important wine selections stand out, carefully matched to the dishes. Our Bistrot 4172 menu, instead, has been conceived with a fast and light formula, also suitable for a lunch break, without sacrificing quality and the refinement of Do Leoni Restaurant style.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Thank you Federica for the warm welcome at the reception and also the lovely introduction and assistance to the room. Love the fact that the water taxi can be docked right outside the hotel lobby and help was rendered with our luggages. Breakfast was great! Service throughout our stay was kept consistently awesome! Location of the hotel was near perfection! San marco Sq is 3 min away and the doges palace is right beside.
Cons: There should be a way to stop houseflies from attacking the breakfast spread =p
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location & great breakfast, cut lobby bar and outside patio.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is next to Marks Square and opposite Vapretto wharf and good spot for Venice accommodation. Room was very comfortable and well appointed . Room service for dinner one night was also good and well prepared. Breakfast excellent in impressive room with Basin views. We only stayed one night due to the hotel issues re recent flooding but compared to the hotel we did stay in of same rating 100 metres away ....the Londra was vastly superior in all ways. I'll be sure to book here next time floods permitting.....
Cons: Access during our whole stay in Venice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Concierge was very helpful.
Cons: Breakfast needs a bit more variety.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were phenomenal, especially the porter. He made sure we didn’t have to wade thru knee high water the day we left by moving our pick up location. Both the suitcases and us stayed dry.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: It was all OK and the position suited our purposes.
Cons: More provision to allow for my need for gluten free. A little impersonal.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere was wonderful!!!
7,5 Good
Pros: Cosy place outside Venice with a romantic touch in a lovely small village. Place had been recommended to us also for the great food; unfortunately the hotel’s restaurant was closed the evening of our stay. Breakfast included a lovely choice of Italian homemade pastries/cookies. Staff a bit reserved though polite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful meal outside in beautiful setting along the river. Food was fabulous— service excellent.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It is an old villa along the river, with plenty of nice details inside and a nice little courtyard outside.
Cons: All was very nice! Just one thing on the breakfast: it was “sweet” only (despite very good biscuits!) - we tend to prefer a salted breakfast but anyway very nice fruits were available (cherries!) so finally it was a good breakfast!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming staff, design, atmosphere
Cons: Breakfast was quite modest

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in the very center of Venice. Just two minutes to the Cathedral and St. Mark's Square, about five minutes walk to the vaporetto stop from the airport. I had a corner room on the 4th floor - large enough, at least for one, clean, comfortable. A large bathroom, there is everything you need, snow-white towels, cosmetics with the aroma of a fig tree flowers. A bottle of water and a coupon for one free welcome drink are provided at the bar (unfortunately, I forgot to use it). In the morning you can hear the church bell, very beautiful sound. The breakfast is excellent - a large selection of pastries, good coffee, cheeses, fruits and even prosecco. I was in the New Year's days, so everything was beautifully decorated, there was even a Christmas tree (and a Christmas cake for breakfast). Everyone at the hotel is very attentive. You can bring your mom to this hotel and she will not be disappointed :)) Hotel just in the heart of the town. To the vaporetto stop, from where you can go to the islands of Murano, Burano and San Giorgio, just five minutes on foot, and it's about 10 minutes to the Rialto bridge, a little further to the Academy. From the hotel you can easily walk to all of Venice's main museums and attractions. There are many cafes and restaurants around, several supermarkets. If I come to Venice again, I hope to stay at this hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is the big surprise with so many options of food and well prepared. The hotel is very cozy and beautiful. For sure I will come back there.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super helpful especially since we were there during the Acqua Alta. They were readily on hand with Wellington boots for us to use while exploring the city. Also, as the hotel got pretty badly flooded and we knew they were coping with the worst flood in over 50 years, they still endeavoured to prepare breakfast, provided a late check out while they help us order a taxi to the airport. Overall great service and I will definitely choose to stay there again when I am back next time when the weather is less wet.
Cons: The room was a little small but comfy.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel with stunning view of the canal from our room balcony. Room was beautifully decorated with a clean and modern bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Pros: Pleasant quiet smallish room. Excellent bedlinens. Excellent location for sightseeing and restaurants. Short walk to the Zattere to eat at sunset We got good last minute price.
Cons: Breakfast room crowded, and jazz playing so we went elsewhere. Jazz played in lobby all day.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location of this hotel is just the best! In a really great quiet area of Dosorduro but near enough to all the best attractions if your first visit to Venice. Spotlessly clean hotel where the staff treat you like family. Also great breakfast!
Cons: Nothing

Pros: All six of us thought that the breakfast was delicious and superb -- great selection and such personal service. The location of the hotel is simply ideal -- so easy to get everywhere from there. The concierge staff was so accommodating and informative -- even arranged a trip out to the Murano Glass factory for us, which was beyond awesome. I highly recommend Hotel Saturnia for families and romantic getaways as well

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved staying at the carnival palace! The room was beautiful! The bed was comfortable and with plenty of room for us both. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast buffet was amazing! Great location but also nice and quiet!
Cons: The only think we could fault was the room was rather warm and we could not seem to adjust the thermostat so we just opened a window. A very small fault for a wonderful hotel!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We couldn't fault anything during our stay. The breakfast is amazing and our room was great! It is located close to the outside of Venice but is only 25 minute walk from St Mark's square. We definitely recommend staying here.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I appreciated the amazing customer service, cleanliness and location!!! It is so easy to find the hotel, close enough to the train station and easy to navigate.
Cons: We loved the property, however the pillows and extra bed wasn’t very comfortable, but that’s an easy fix!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Easy walk from train station with kids (about 15 minutes), spacious room and very friendly staff. Facilities are excellent (especially the bath/shower) with very hot water. The mood was just right
Cons: All was great really

Pros: We had a room on the canal! The rooms was spacious, the beds comfortable, and the staff were friendly.
Cons: n/a
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Good hotel with clean room in a very calm and beautiful place in Venice. Not so far from the train station (10 min with baggage by walk). Near you can find a good pizzeria (Very Good Pizzeria Bigoleria Gnoccheria) where you can order good food for the fair price. Breakfast was good as well: different kind of meat, cheese, fruits and vegetables, etc. Seems everyone can find what he/she is searching for.
Cons: A quite strange room interior but it is a Carnival palace, so what did I want to get?) Mb far from the city centre, can be closer but you get a calm place instead. It depends on your priorities.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff, great location, beautiful view and clean comfortable room.
Cons: None
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great spot. Great room. Great service.
Cons: Could have used a more gracious front desk
10,0 Excellent
Pros: First of all allies it was a wonderful and let us check in four hours early. That was extremely nice and unexpected.
Cons: The hotel, the location, everything about it was amazing. Our room did have a little bit of a moldy smell to it but I think that's because they turn the air off when you leave and of course they are on the water. Again, I highly recommend this hotel it

Pros: Swing pool and bed room
Cons: Bafh room
8,3 Excellent
Pros: A little of everything
Cons: More than you think
5,0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful island, with amazing amenities but you have to have the money to stay in the top end level rooms, if not very average and expect there are better hotels on Venice
Cons: Not great value for money, rooms were sparse, poorly decorated and felt dated compared to other areas of the Hotel. Also small things that you expect from a 5* weren't there, service was passable, knowledge was limited of Venice for recommendations, etc, didnt feel as welcoming as have done at other hotels. The loungers on the top floor restaurant were soaked the day we went up (must have rained overnight as didnt see a drop of rain while we were there) so you were awkwardly perching on the seat to have a drink. Was disappointed to have to pay to get access to the spa, first time as a guest of a 5* hotel i have seen an additional charge to use the facilities. Transport to Venice is available but once an hour is the minimum i would expect. Also a shame the michelin* restaurant was closed while we were there, didnt realised it was closed for 4-6 months of the year which was planning to take my wife for bday dinner, Apart from that food is average compared to some of the other hotels we visited on Venice.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast Very good quality roof top
3,0 Mediocre
Cons: We were in shower so you could image how we were looked like . And then the service lady walked straight in ! How terrifying ! Also when we checked out and told what happened to the front desk lady when she asked me how the stay was, she charged the card and did not say anything ! Haha what a service ! !
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. It’s truly amazing. We had a junior suit it was lovey. The staff are very friendly and the food is very good. The rooftop pool has the most amazing views of Venice. We enjoyed a morning at the spa The facilities are great. Over all our experience was fantastic. I would highly recommend getting a private taxi boat from the airport to the hotel It made our experience of the hotel even better.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakast with a lot of variety. Many fresh fruits. Options for eggs cooked to order. Brightly lit room.
Cons: Eggs to order. However, there were a few times that myself and friends find the eggs extremely salty and not edible at all. I literally spat this out but did not ask them to redo again. This happened again on another day and I asked them to not put any salt and it was then OK. Never experienced such a problem before. Usually, no salt was given when they cook it and customers sprinkle to taste if needed. I think this was a serious and repetitive error that the cooks had to be feedback upon.

5,0 Okay
Pros: Location next to port
Cons: Mold in showers, no bottled water for free, no coffee! What kind of hotel in Italy is this?
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location of this hotel is superb, particularly if you have a view of the grand canal. We opted to arrive by water taxi which wasn’t cheap , but in our view was worth it. The evening meal was very good, and we had been upgraded to a suite. Staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient and the room was grand and very comfortable. The overall impression is one of slightly old fashioned opulence. We loved it.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The place looks awesome, a 14th century palazzo, and keeps it's charm. The staff is super jolly and helpful, always looking to be facilitating your stay. The room was adequate, not too much overdressed, and there were no noises from the street at all. There are all kinds of services nearby, including vaporetto stop for easy in and out of the city. It's also very close to several of the Biennale exhibitions, like Ca d'Oro, just around the corner.
Cons: The internet connection was really not good enough for a five star hotel. We stop trying to connect and used mobile connection instead. Easy to improve though.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Super hotel, in a dream location at Canal Grande.
Cons: IMPORTANT NOTICE: Even if the mayor declares the State Of Emergency and advises not to travel to Venice, the hotel WILL NOT REFUND your money!
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Everything, it was charming.
Cons: No points at all.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, like staying in a museum. Having breakfast surrounded by frescoes was a unique experience
Cons: I asked the front desk to help me book a train to Florence the night prior to checking out. They told me that they could not do this for me, but not to worry as the trains don't sell out anyway. Unfortunately when we showed up at the train station, the train to Florence we needed was sold out ruining our plans for the afternoon. I stayed in two other hotels on this stay in Italy and in both the staff booked train tickets for me
8,0 Excellent
Pros: the room is spacial. way beyond the expectation.
Cons: it is not very close to the centre, about 20 mins walk, around 6 waterbus stops from Santa Marco.

6,7 Good
Pros: location was good, staff were very helpful
Cons: We were given the attic room, no windows, very low ceiling, poor access to bath tub and sections of bedroom. This was likely due to my hurried booking and not taking in the room details before payment. This room would be ok for anyone under 5 feet 3 inches tall, naturally all rooms are not like this one I would have immediately checked out if my arrival time was not so late at night.

Pros: Great service and friendly staff! Very clean rooms and bathrooms. They also have a free parking lot.

Pros: Excellent staff, helpful, informative and accommodating. Rooms are small but very clean. Bathroom is more than adequate and the A/C works perfectly. Area is quiet and safe. Parking is secure.
Cons: Check-In policies too strict (only until 9:00pm), late check-in fee is outrageous.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: I chose this hotel because I'd stayed here 2 years ago. They upgraded me because I had been there before. Right across from the train station so excellent location. And the staff was super friendly. The in-house restaurant is also pretty good. I loved it.
Cons: If I had to complain, it would just be to point out on check-out day the cleaning staff opened the door while I was still there. I would think they'd know who is checking out and wait until the check-out time had passed to clean those rooms.
7,0 Good
Pros: Three times in this Hotel, room clean and good location.
Cons: This time the room be arranged at the corner of Hotel, close the road and train station, noisy whole night.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Best experience ever !
Cons: Best experience ever !
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Located in front of the train station, it’s very easy to reach by crossing the street. The staff is fabulous, very welcoming and kind. They helped book taxis and with other personal matters. The hotel is very clean, with new and well-designed furniture. We travelled the day after from Marco Polo Airport and this was a great stay, logistically speaking. This was our second time and we will stay there again.
Cons: The only two negative issues (not really major) is the lack of teabags by the coffee corner and a lack of diversity in bathing products. I guess this is a typical issue of major chains but you can mitigate by bringing your own products.

Overview Reviews
With its heritage setting on Riva degli Schiavoni, Hotel Danieli dominates the Venetian lagoon with spectacular views of the Grand Canal and islands. Also overlooking the Palazzo Ducale, the hotel is just steps away from Ponte Dei Sospiri and Piazza San Marco. The three palaces which comprise the hotel date from the 14th, 17th and 19th Centuries: Palazzo Dandolo in Venetian Gothic style, once home to the noble Dandolo family; Palazzo Casa Nuova, previously the city’s treasury; and Palazzo Danieli Excelsior, featuring guestrooms with balconies overlooking the lagoon on its upper floors. The three palaces house a rich collection of precious art and antiques that play witness to the city’s history, blended with contemporary comforts to meet the needs of cultured global travelers. Essential to the Danieli experience is its Restaurant Terrazza Danieli and cuisine concept, a magical voyage for the senses which retraces the oriental influences of spice traders and blends them with ingredients from the lagoon.

Cons: The concierge's were rude. They did not smile or even acknowledged me as I left and returned to the hotel. I was surprised, because when I stayed a the Metropole last year, this was not the case. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything

Pros: A lovely hotel in a great part of Venice, near St. Marks square. Clean rooms, nice breakfast.
Cons: Our standard room was tiny. We could barely open our 2 suitcases up on the floor side by side at the foot of the bed and pass by to get to the washroom. The room was just bigger than the bed.

Pros: Very friendly staff! We got a room upgrade to suite because of Acqua Alta situation and a low occupancy rate.
Cons: The suite was very spacious but needs upgrading/ modernising, especially the bathrooms. Sound proofing would be good too. We looked into a badly de orated ninner courtyard which looked dirty.

Pros: Very nice and helpful hosts. Beautifully done villa restoration with good design of rooms. Lots of interesting pictures on the walls. Good value local bus ride to Venice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was our second stay at the villa - the first was around a decade ago. It remains wonderful: a distinguished edifice with spacious rooms, a very good continental breakfast, and a lovely formal garden with many mature trees. We heard songbirds, pheasant and crickets, and the owner informed us that his garden is set near a much larger property, also run along eco lines, ensuring that the place remains a haven for nature. All that, and the location along the peaceful Brenta (with Palladian villas, charming townlets such as Dolo, and of course Venice itself easily reachable), make this a splendid place to stay when visiting Venice and the Veneto.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was an old villa with antiques all around made it very interesting. The gardens were amazing and oly wish we had time to enjoy more time in them.
Cons: Only Price

6,7 Good
Pros: location was good, staff were very helpful
Cons: We were given the attic room, no windows, very low ceiling, poor access to bath tub and sections of bedroom. This was likely due to my hurried booking and not taking in the room details before payment. This room would be ok for anyone under 5 feet 3 inches tall, naturally all rooms are not like this one I would have immediately checked out if my arrival time was not so late at night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great service and friendly staff! Very clean rooms and bathrooms. They also have a free parking lot.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, helpful, informative and accommodating. Rooms are small but very clean. Bathroom is more than adequate and the A/C works perfectly. Area is quiet and safe. Parking is secure.
Cons: Check-In policies too strict (only until 9:00pm), late check-in fee is outrageous.

7,5 Good
Pros: Cosy place outside Venice with a romantic touch in a lovely small village.
