Pleasent room cleaning staff very friendly
Asked for items on breakfast menu but never received them also no bottles of wine in the bar
Location was easy to find, great to walk out in the evening to get a meal, no car required; staff were brilliant and really friendly and helpful; near to for everything, the zoo, Chester Rows, etc.
Stairway was really narrow for carrying cases, so don't take too many bags; kept bumping my head on the eaves (had an attic room which was great but low...) shower could do with an upgrade but perfectly serviceable; would have liked a loo brush, but that is probably just me!
Clean and friendly
The room was clean and comfortable and it had everything we needed. The staff were polite and nothing was too much trouble.
I dont have any complaints, the hotel was in a good location and great value for money
It was close to where I needed for the weekend.
1) Cancellation mix up with their vendor that was not our fault, led the staff to making it our problem by a) knocking at my door twice and calling me back to reception to talk to the owner at their convenience and b) asking us to speak to the vendor to sort it. 2) WiFi didn’t work - at all in the bedrooms at the back of the property 3) One of the waitresses literally grabbed toast out of my hand without saying a word as to why, and insisted I toast another few slices - I’m guessing the original bread was stale 4) The bathroom was basic, and poor shower plumbing for today’s standards 5) Original booking for one night was £115 - completely overpriced for a 3star (generous) B&B
