Staff friendly, but incompetent. Lots of opportunity for training here.Cons:
1) Have the vehicle ready for pickup at the appropriate time. Ours was dirty, and had less than 1/4 tank of gas. 2) Improve team communication. We reserved an SUV because we were 5 traveling together, and I communicated this to the Enterprise staff twice. They still got it wrong. I told them early on the morning of our rental when I called (per their request) to confirm the rental. I told them again when we called for pickup at 3:45 pm. They showed up in a sedan that held 4 (including their driver), so half of our party had to wait at the train station for another pickup. 3) VERY long delay at pickup due to issues #1 and #2. They offered to put gas in the car, and we agreed, thinking that the amount of gas in the car at that time wouldn't even get us out of town. But their gas run took 40+ minutes. Did they go all the way to the airport for it? As a result, instead of slipping out of town before rush hour, we had to drive into the heart of it. They should have warned us of the distance they had to travel for the gas, and the amount of time it would take. 4) No ice scraper in a vehicle, in the winter, in New England. Had to ask for that too.9,6 Wonderful

We ordered online. Got the confirmation and then once we were in the Uber on the way to the pick up, Enterprise called to tell us they had no cars available. No care and out $25 for the Uber ride. I’ll never rent from Enterprise.Hertz

Friendly, but absolutely ridiculous that one person is supposed to run the entire branch office, up to and including cleaning the cars. Worst - THERE WERE NO CARS AVAILABLE, even though at 10:30 a.m. there were three people sitting there with 9am reservations.Cons:
Hertz could have had CARS AVAILABLE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO RESERVED THEM and prepaid, instead of making us wait for 1 1/2 to 2 hours for a car. I'm never using Hertz again.Budget

Pick up the car and it was dirty i have to wash it and clean it myself and the worst part is I returned the car 3 days early and returned $2.43 cents to my card. Thank you Budget you are the worst rental cars i’ve ever imagined.4,4 Mediocre

what i didnt like was the age restriction was 25 to rent a car, im 24 so i was 1 year under so they charged me a extra $200 for the week which doesnt make any sense, i. was not happy about that, il just start renting again when im 25 whichAvis

Cons:
I went to pick up the car and was told that I needed a major credit card. I didn’t have one and they said I would need to leave a deposit (which was fine) and they would run my credit. My credit score wasn’t good enough apparently and that was basically the end of the transaction. Stranded.2,0 Poor

I showed up on the day of pickup, and they didn't have my car?! All they had was mini-vans, when I had reserved a compact/mid-size. I ended up having to get a last minute rental from another company.2,0 Poor

I returned the car one full day earlier than expected and I was still charged for the full three days (even though I had only had the car rented for two). I was told I'd get a call about my refund and, to date, haven't heard from Avis -- despite calling them countless times. Never again.8,0 Very Good

The car itself was fine, although the back seat needed cleaning. And it was ready at the arranged time.Cons:
The agency did not provide any kind of map, and this was the first time I've experienced that in many years with many car rentals from other companies. The local person was not familiar with local roads to help me get started on the trip. He was not as helpful or polite as I'd expect. Another issue is that I was headed to Massachusetts and planned to take the toll road, and the agent in Rhode Island did not know - or at least did not tell me - of the major change in toll collection there. Since it is not possible to pay cash on I 90, I will be receiving a bill for those tolls, plus additions from Avis and possibly fines. When I dropped the car off in Chicago, the office desk had handouts explaining their e-toll fees. But nothing of the sort was offered in RI where it would have actually helped. I will not rent from Avis again, or Budget, which seems to have merged with it.Car hire locations in or near Seekonk
