Pros:
The staff was friendly and pickup/drop off was convenient and quick.Cons:
The rental car I was given was an absolute disgrace. It was not cleaned, much less sanitized. It was a cheap tin can Kia that shook on the highway if you drove over 60mph. I did not feel safe at all. When I booked on Kayak, I saw I could get an SUV for just $1 more, but when I asked at the Avis counter they told me it would be an additional $20. I will not rent from Avis again with the condition of the unsanitary and unsafe car I was given. Very disappointed.10,0 Wonderful

Pros:
The staff wasn't outright rude at least.Cons:
I rented the car for two days. Once I showed up, the staffer said that the rental would have to be for three days, since the car rental place was closed on Monday. He also mentioned it when going over all the other terms of the rental; if I wasn't paying attention I wouldn't have noticed it. When I protested and said that we had agreed for two days, the staffer shrugged and said it wasn't their problem. The staffer wasn't rude or unprofessional, he just didn't care.2,0 Poor

Pros:
The car of my choice was available.Cons:
I'd sooner rent a horse and buggy before ever I rent a car from this place again! On the web page I reserved the vehicle I selected and paid for collision damage coverage for the two days that I was renting the vehicle but when I got onsite I was told that the rental car company did NOT accept the coverage sold on their website unless it covered 30 DAYS! For a 2-day rental that is clearly ridiculous. Since my credit card benefits did not include the collision damage coverage and my own insurance coverage deductible was not LESS THAN $500 (which is pretty much the industry standard deductible for an automobile insurance policy) I was FORCED to take the rental car company collision damage insurance coverage for an additional $48 which cost was twice what I had already paid for the collision damage insurance coverage that was sold on the web page when I reserved the car on the website that they REFUSED to accept. Further, they took an additional $150 "deposit" to cover any incidentals like gas and cleaning after I returned the vehicle. Their cleaning fee is $100. While on my trip, upon arrival at my destination, I accidently dropped the key fob between the seats and reached down to recover it, where I discovered trash including food particles and a receipt from some chicken shack somewhere in Alabama dated a week before I got the car that had obviously been overlooked when the rental car company claims they "cleaned and disinfected" the vehicle before I took possession! So much for their "COVID" protective measures touted on signs posted all over their car lot! Fearing that the trash would be used by the rental car company as an excuse to steal a $100 cleaning fee from me I've kept it so that I can present it as evidence in court should they try to cheat me out of that money too! Oh, and the collision damage insurance that I bought on their website that they didn't accept I found out is non-refundable once the trip starts! Of course, I found out about this after I went to pick up the rental and got on the road because I had to depart immediately to keep my scheduled business appointments. I was already starting my trip an hour late because of the last minute changes by the rental car company. Overall, I'd rate both the car rental company and the website collision damage insurance company "R"! And the "R" is for a big RIPOFF! The CDW fee that I paid was essentially unearned as it provided no real coverage! And, the deceptive manner in which the car rental forces you to accept their overpriced CDW coverage I'm sure must violate some rule of law or at the very least is unethical! BUYER BEWARE!! BETTER STILL ... BUYER, JUST USE ANOTHER SERVICE, ONE THAT YOU CAN TRUST!!!! THE LIES AND DECEPTIONS WITH THESE COMPANIES STARTED THE MOMENT I LANDED ON THEIR WEB PAGE! I'VE RENTED CARS IN A DOZEN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES ON 5 DIFFERENT CONTINENTS AND NEVER HAD ANYTHING REMOTELY CLOSE TO THIS SCAM HAPPEN TO ME BEFORE! "NEVERMORE"!3,9 Poor

Pros:
The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The drop off in New York is appealing. The most unfriendly, bossy and cold people I’ve experienced in a service industry.Cons:
The people working in New York act like they hate their job and can’t be bothered to help you. When I was pulling into the hertz lot one of the workers were screaming at me to move up. He could have asked politely. I’ve lived in nyc for 15 years and this behavior is unacceptable. It’s a horrible client experience. Enterprise in NYC treats their customers much better.10,0 Wonderful

Pros:
Staff was excellent and friendly. From The beginning i had a great experience. The car i got was clean and comfortable. It was ready for me when I arrived at the store. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I rented a mid-level SUV for my cross country road trip and got upgraded. It may have been because of lack of inventory but regardless it was a pleasant surprise. Best experience I’ve had renting a car.Cons:
I was pretty happy with everything. I got more than i expected and the drop off was easy.10,0 Wonderful
