Check-in process took 30 minutes because they couldn’t figure out how to do the technology. He signed the rental agreement for me which I think is illegal. The car didn’t have a full tank of gas and wasn’t clean. Then they were closed on Sundays when my scheduled return was and I got charged for an extra day. Don’t rent from here!!!!9,6 Wonderful

The employees at the location were very friendly. The car we received (after the first) was in good condition and clean.Cons:
The first car they wanted to give us had animal hair all over the back seat. Not just a few dozen hairs, but, you know, hundreds. Car only came with a quarter tank of gas.Hertz

The car was dirty when picked up. We usually receive a car that has been washed. They took extra money from us and we cant get an answer as to why. Been trying to get our money back for three days.6,0 Okay

The car was nice and served our purpose for the trip.Cons:
we had reserved a full size vehicle and when we went to pick it up they did not have one as someone did not return a car on time, so we settled for a mid size. They did give us a free tank of gas for our trouble and added a second driver for free as this normally has a steep charge. We also go hit with a large toll fee after the trip that was about $25.00 more than the actual tolls were as this is a fee they tack on to handle the tolls.8,8 Very Good

Cons:
I prepaid for a 4 day rental, first mistake. Due to family emergency our plans changed. Branch manager would not try to work with the situation, even change to a 1 day rental. If you prepay, no chance for a refund. One reason I prepaid was to hopefully have an easy in and out transaction. Nope, car was not ready for the scheduled pickup time. 25 min. wait. Was offered an upgrade that was ready, for additional charge. Luckily with the change in plans I didn't travel far. When I went to refill fuel before returning the car, the access panel to the fuel tank would not open. Called the Road Side Assistance #, who was very courteous (Billy) was told he would take care of fuel charges. Returned to the branch told them about the issue. It took 2 people to open access panel, 1 to hold the release, 1 to pry open panel. I was traveling alone. Was then told I needed to go fill it up. This location is very convenient for me, but I will never use them again. VERY POOR.2,4 Poor

Cons:
The car had a bad transmission and the dealer wanted to argue that it was normal for the car to act that way. I couldn't use the Hertz for the planned trip and was forced to borrow my son's car, instead. My son take the car back to the dealer the next day in my absence, only to be told that because he was not the "Primary Driver", there would be no refund, but rather a "Voucher" for a future rental. Hmmmm.Payless

Didn't have car I ordered. Sent me all over town just have to come back to same location. CAR BROKE DOWN. Sent to airport to be sent back to broken down location 3 hours later. They had no idea what they were doing. Agent in Charolette (Sheridan location) was rude.2,0 Poor

Twenty minutes before pick up time, rental place calls me and says "we don't have any vans...sorry they let you book it" So, trip ruined, 7 people didn't get to go as planned, etc. bad birthday for my daughter. Furthermore, Kayak accepted no responsibility and passed the buck to Payless... Just a sad situation. I also was charged for insurance on the vehicle that I never even picked up...since there was NOTHING available.3,2 Poor

The 30 minute wait (really 30 minutes) to get my rental, while the salesperson tried to upsell the only other person in the rental trailer. It is quite a drive to the off site rental trailer. The wear on the outside of the car was very noticeable. Lots of nicks, and chrome pealing.8,0 Very Good
