We arrived around 1:30 AM and all the rental agencies were closed except Enterprise who helped Alamo customers during that time. I was unable to use Alamos kiosk after my dog bit holes in my card used for the reservation. The staff provided calm and welcoming customer service in a potentially disastrous beginning to our trip to Maryland. Everything went smoothly and and we were off to enjoy the sights!

I liked the Toyota Camry. It was very comfortable an all of our luggage fit in the trunk.The charges at the end of my week were over $1000 higher than those given to me initially. The weekly rate was far higher than I was quoted. This makes me not want to use Alamo again when renting a car.

Nothing. They had no cars available for anyone and we were stuck there at midnight with over 100 people in the facility.Don’t give reservations unless you can fulfill them. Multiple companies pool cars at this location and none of them had any.

The pick up was a little awkward. The Keys were inside with the clerk, not outside with the kiosk attendant, as promised, so hot and tired from traveling, we trundled back and forth. But in the big picture, it was not a big problem and the clerk was very kind about the mix-up. The kiosk attendant was a little annoying. perhaps he was annoyed with the situation too. But the car was nice and roomy, and the return was simple!

The car was good, pick up was ok and fairly easy, but drop off was confusing (maybe blame Google maps for taking me the wrong way) and no one in the booth to take back the car, so I had to walk towards check in counter before the assistant from the counter met me half way and took my keys. No receipt received, so only guessing at the “extra” fees incurred.

This was the best car rental experience I have had in 30 years. I had never heard of Nextcar prior to this rental in Baltimore. The previous renter had smoked in the car and it was late so I “just went with it.” I changed my mind a couple days later and not only did they immediately give me a new car but upgraded me without a moments hassle. The exchanged car was ready when I arrived. They will be my first choice next time.

Staff was friendly, drop off was very easy. When we needed to switch cars, that process was easy and they were flexible.When I went to pick up the car it smelled bad and I discovered the trunk was littered with fast food garbage. They were apologetic and quickly switched us to a comparable car, but that should never have happened. I had to return to the desk a couple times and each time there was nobody at the desk and I just had to yell into the room behind the counter to get somebody to come help. Not a great experience overall.

We showed up for our reservation only to be greeted by a sign at the counter saying “ no cars available “. We had to scramble and rent from another company at twice the price. There was no one at the counter. Why is kayak booking reservations for Payless at BWI if they clearly aren’t running?

Nothing. They were not present - only a sign saying they were out of cars.No one was present even though we had a car reserved. There was only a hand-written sign saying they were out of cars. We were stuck without a car and no transportation. It was a nightmare. We could not get in touch with Payless by phone and we were put on a callback list with Kayak because their hold times were over an hour. We were totally stuck with no recourse.

The Payless car rental has closed at BWI. I received a confirmation email from kayak just a few hours before I arrived at BWI to find it closed. Then when I called Kayak customer service I couldn’t get through. They finally called me back after I’d spent twice as much at another rental car agency snd they said there was nothing kayak could do. I won’t use kayak again. Unreliable.

Nothing, reserved car week earlier, got to the rental location and it was CLOSED! Sign read " No cars available"!!! WTF????? I will NEVER rent a car from them or their sister company Avis again. NEVER. I ended up paying another $120 for a competitor's car. I am suing.Everything, read above. Give me my $120!!!!

The Dollar rental counter has been consolidated with Hertz, but the rental experience was smooth. I didn't have to spend long with the representative and picked out a car quickly. Drop-off was straightforward and hassle-free.

The Dollar counter was closed. A sign directed Dollar patrons to the Hertz counter. It appears that Hertz is handling Dollar reservations in Hanover. Only a momentary bit of confusion, seeing the Dollar station in darkness, but the agent at Hertz had Dollar's reservation information in her computer and handled everything efficiently. The return procedure was also quick and easy, also done by Hertz.

Arrived at 10:15 am. No cars were ready and I was told I had to wait at least an hour and a half for the next car. We’d flown in to attend a funeral that day and I didn’t have that kind of time. Canceled reservation and took Uber instead.

Upon receiving the vehicle, I didn't realized the SUV was not cleaned (inside or outside) due to the dark parking facility. My trip was taking my daughter to college and was on a tight schedule. I took the car through the carwash & clean/ vacuum the interior of car. The SUV has several dents/ nicks on the exterior of car - no attendant was present to perform the initial car inspection prior to release of car. And last, interior carpet was pulled up at the seams. Upon returning the car, no attendants were present for proper car inspection & given receipt. The vehicle was not ready for customer usage, however, it allowed me to get my child to college.

Doller was closed and got sent to thrifty. Only one person was working at thrifty for about 20 customers. Finally after about 45 minutes they got another employee to help but still was moving about 1 customer every 15 minutes. Then Hertz started signing people in for them but then after signing in for the vehicle, everyone had to wait another 20 minutes for them to bring the vehicle to you. Hertz was the only thing that saved them that day.

The car was fine and the employees were helpful, but the decision to only have one person working the combined two counters (all Dollar renters had to go to the Thrifty counter) was ridiculous. It took me over 3 hours from the time I got in line until the time I finally got in my rental car. There were only 12 other parties ahead of me in line when I got there, but they only had one employee working the counter and each rental took 15+ minutes to get sorted even though it was only for people with pre-booked reservations because they didn't have any extra cars for people without reservations (one couple took over an hour). By the time I got my car, there must have been 50+ people in line. No other rental agency in the building had more than a handful of people in line at any given time and all had multiple employees working the counters (I arrived with a family member renting from another agency, and it only took them half an hour to get their car). I obviously don't know what the situation was with staffing, but to have two services using one counter, and only having one employee working during the middle of the day on a weekend was ridiculous. I can only imagine how long some of those other people had to stand in line who were behind me when the line was 2-3X as long as it was when I arrived and I had to wait 3 hours to get into my rental.

The car wasn’t very clean, it had a bit of a smell and the windows had greasy spots on them. All three cars in the zone I was eligible for were the same.

Budget runs a bait & switch program. I rented a Standard Elite SUV and when I went to pick uo vehicle they tried to give me a 12 passenger express van. The same happened to another customer who wanted a full size SUV. I waited over 1.5 hours because I really needed an SUV to move my daughter to college. They had a Tahoe available but wanted to charge me an additional $100 per day. Finally, they gave me a Ford Explorer. I purchased the eToll for my rental and they didn't activate it. So when I went through toll gate on my way to Michigan, I had to pay because Budget didn't activate my eToll. I called Budget and they told me to stop by the nearest Budget. They are inconsiderate and the customer experience is very poor.

When we pulled in to drop off in Avis (signs for budget said to do so), I kid you not there had to be over 150 vehicles just sitting there. Couldn't find a worker anywhere. After about 20 minutes, I found one very frazzled guy. He immediately thought I was going to yell at him and started saying he is only one person - to which I agreed. I completely get that there is a staffing shortage right now. Believe me - I own 5 restaurants. So you know what we do as owners, we work in the restaurants to help our staff. This guy was on the verge of breakdown. He just told everyone to leave the keys in the car and go catch their planes. He didn't have time to check in the vehicles. Not sure who was going to move them all, clean them all, gas them all - that poor guy. It's been days and I can't shake the look on his face of hopelessness and just being completely overwhelmed. Please - help your workers. Go work a day in that heat with customers screaming at you - you'll figure out how to pay them more.

Pick up was very easy for a reservation made only 30 minutes before the needed pick up time out of BWI. Car was fairly clean and seemed well maintained. Drop off was less than ideal and made me second guess if the car was ever checked back in. The attendant just took the keys and said all done. When I asked about a receipt he said I should get an email (which I never did). All and all not a bad experience but definitely felt overpriced to go from Baltimore to Richmond

The ease of the rental process was awesome. The vehicle cleanliness was mediocre, but I cleaned and washed it myself after pickup. The return process was also easy and quick. The Chevy Suburban was a newer model with all of the bells and whistles. Great ride and efficient for our needs. Thank you!

2 hour delay on the pick up side. dropped off on-time but location was called. dealt with customer service for over 45 minutes to find a solution and then was charged for additional 2 days when car was not in my possessioncar pick up happening when the reservation was made. communication between customer service and the drop off location. why did i spent time talking to customer service, only to have to be put on hold and talk to them again, to rectify billing that never should have happened.

The van was dirty when picked up. I had to leave the windows open overnight and use fabreeze to get the odor out of the seats. There was a dust buildup all over the steering column and dashboard. Very unusual for a rental.

The car interior was clean. That's about the only good thing it had going. The check-in process was hasty and not much care taken. Gave me 3/4 tank of gas but marked full on contract. Car had a bunch of scratches that weren't marked down on the contract. I asked for an SUV, they gave me not quite an SUV but a crossover with less cargo space than a standard car but a gas gozzler nontheless. I've been renting with Enterprise for over 10 years now and they were my preferred rental company. But my last couple of rental experiences with them have left much to be desired.
