An employee gave us the wrong van. It was not completely clean, the tank was not full and all 4 tires were low. I was somewhat frustrated when I had to top off the tank and put the proper air pressure in the tires. When we returned the van the manager felt very bad and was very apologetic. He handled the situation in a professional manner and ultimately gave us 50% off of the rental cost. Even though the experience started off poorly it was handled very well in the end and I would rent from them again.10,0 Wonderful

Pros:
I experienced great customer service at the Hertz corporate office location in Goleta, CA. It was definitely a much needed positive experience during a rather frustrating time after my car was damaged during a hit-and-run accident. A Hertz staff member drove another customer and I from a local auto body shop to the Hertz office, and the pick-up of the rental car went very smoothly thanks to the other staff members, Evan and Erica (I think that was her name?). Both staff members were very friendly, but efficient. I was quite pleased with the car I rented- it was in good shape, generally clean inside, and drove well. Dropping the rental car off also went well as Evan graciously (and quickly) drove me to the auto body shop so I could pick-up my car and get to a meeting on time. Thank you for the great service! I will keep this Hertz office in mind next time I need to rent a car in the area!Easirent
