Pros: Easy quick pick up and drop off.Cons: Everything else. Went through 3 different cars because of issues, that were issues hertz missed. When I called to try to get the new cars I was sent 30-40 minutes away and the correct cars were not available when I showed up. Both road side service and customer service would not call me back. This location then tried to say it was my fault because I called road side service and customer service general number (I was 10 hours away, and they were closed at the time) instead of calling them.

Pros: The staff was helpful but hurried. The car was really inexpensive, which was why I went with Hertz for the first time.Cons: The car was somewhat vacuumed on the inside, quite dirty on the outside, with leaves sticking out from under the hood. It was Christmas Eve and they wanted to close early, so they rushed the car up and didn't check it over for scratches or properly record the gas tank level. It was full, but the paperwork said 2/8. Even though it was the end of December, the windshield washer fluid was the summer kind, so it made a useless blue slushy on my windshield. It was almost due for an oil change when I started out. The last day, the cruise control died, the check engine light came on, and it started shaking all over. It was a new Malibu, so I don't know what was with that. Other than that, the car ran well.

Pros: Car was clean & comfortableCons: I accidentally booked the wrong pickup/drop off location due to a death in the family. I asked Hertz to change the booking once I arrived. They said because I prepaid that I didn’t have that option. I told them I would be willing to pay the change fee but again told I didn’t have that option. I had to take an Uber to the correct location. I called the corporate office with no help! I was VERY disappointed in Hertz! Luckily on the return trip they did have someone to take me to the airport but I was told that might not be available either.

Bad Review for HertzPros: The only thing I like was the fact the car got 45mpg.Cons: First Hertz said we gave your car away along with being very nasty after that, they kept saying it was my fault. The part I really didn't understand was I paid in advance. Why would you think I was not going to show up. Then he came back and said I can hey you another one in about four hours from now. It was a good thing I waited around, someone else came in early with the car I left with. Bad thing was someone smoked in the car and they tried to cover the smell up. Which I just got reamed not to do but I really need a car. Next the seat belt warning was broken, I couldn't have water bottle in the passenger seat without having the seat belt alarm sound continuously. Lastly it's a great thing I can see thru a blurred windshield, the windshield wipers didn't work.

Pros: The vehicle was clean. The desk attendant was very nice.Cons: The vehicle did not have a back-up cam. We had to replace a fuze. The CD player did not work well. It skipped easily. The gas refill price is crazy. Of course we filled up before we dropped off the car.

Cons: We reserved an economy car to fit 5 people and were upgraded to a fancy car (lower fuel economy) that only fit 4. To be fair, it was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, but we wanted what we had reserved. It was very complicated having 5 people with luggage with a car that fit only 4. Had to rely on local family's car to double up which we had wanted to avoid.

Will never rent from Hertz againPros: Although different from the email confirmation, the car we received was perfect for our road trip. It was clean and comfortable.Cons: The customer service rep at the counter at the Clayton location, Josh, made what should have been an easy transaction horribly uncomfortable, confusing and frustrating. There were additional charges added that I was unaware of until Josh rudely made them known. Thank goodness he wasn’t there when we dropped the vehicle off and we had a much better drop off experience.
