Unfortunately when we received the car we were told that it had a full tank. Since I was unfamiliar with the type of car, I didn’t know how to read the gas gage, so I took their word for it. That said, at some point within 30 mins a warring came up suggesting that we had about 5 miles till empty. To my surprise the tank was indeed empty. So I filled it up and upon return expressed my concern. Their response was we will take care of that for you and paid for the full tank. There wasn’t any more to discuss. I thanked them and went on my way.

My flight was delayed. I called Enterprise and they said they’d stay until 2 am. I asked if that was customary and was told yes. The airport shuttle never came so I took a lift since enterprise said they’d be there, when I arrived they were closed and I had to wait 2 1/2 hours for them to open at 4. It’s was 23 degrees! The agent was ok, but not nearly apologetic. Your 800/customer service gave out faulty information which put me on an unsafe situation.

Nothing was great about this experience we couldn’t even get our rental because we needed a credit card to put on hold and didn’t have that much on a credit card only on a debit card and was told they couldn’t run that as a credit so had to find another way for our Florida vacation trip I was very dissatisfied

The rate was not the same as that was quoted on Kayak. They charged me $94/day and there is no way that I would have chosen such an expensive car when $55/day cars were available. Pickup and drop of were easy but the car was supposedly non-smoking but you could clearly smell the cigarette smoke. Almost $500 dollars for four days of riding around in cigarette smoke.

We went to pick up the car and found that we were restricted to driving within the bordering states. We returned home and drove our own car on our trip. I had no idea that rental companies had that type of restriction in 2022.

Offered an upgraded model, but it appeared to be an older model. The vehicle also smelled of heavy smoke. I normally would have refused rental, but vehicles were limited during this time and everything was sold out. However, the customer service was excellent - friendly and willing to help.

I did not have any issues. The shuttle bus was outside when I landed and car pickup was smooth. Car was clean, and prepayment for gas was convenient. Shuttle back to airport was just as prompt. Very friendly staff. Very affordable price. Would recommend.

I have been going to St Louis every year for 12 years. This year I tried Dollar and was NOT disappointed. From the shuttle driver (once I found it) to the front desk workers it was nice and smooth. They were willing to swap a vehicle (in the same class) when asked for preference reasons. Thank you Dollar!

Great customer service. The pickup spot from the airport was tricky to locate but again, great customer service when I found it. Price is not comparable in my opinion, after imposed fees. It is what it is. I’m just thankful that customer service was not hindering the process.

Vehicle was driven to Chicago, had mechanical issues. Since Thrifty in St. Ann is privately owned they were unable to help with anything and I couldn't get service from any other Thrifty.

We booked our reservation for a 12 passenger van 6 months ago and we go there to pick up and they didn’t have it. Very un professional and didn’t care at all. I will never ever go to them or recommend them to anyone. They had plenty of time in advance to get the van. Next person to complain to is BBB. Do a better job Jeff otherwise you need to step downThe general manager and staff need to do a better job. They sucked at it!

The staff was terrible. We reserved the van for pickup on Saturday and drove 30 mins to get it and it was not there. They did not try to contact us. Finally picked it up on Sunday (the day we were to leave). Still waiting to see if we can get a refund for the day missed. Will never rent from Thrifty again from this location!Customer service was awful.

The shuttle was a very long wait. The line at the counter was an outrageously long wait. The car's stick kept missing the required position. The charges at the end exceeded the charges at the time of booking by $20.

The staff was nice. My first issue is maybe more with kayak. The price I rented the car for is not the price I paid when I got there, it was more. About $100 more. I've unfortunately had to rent with plenty of different companies lately and none of the others were like that and I always rent thru a 3rd party. Anyway I appreciated the fact that they were willing to accommodate my request for the type of car I didn't want but they picked the car and it was filthy and smelled terrible. Previously I've been able to pick the car and they were all clean at the least. The drop off was easy tho.

There was a long line at pick-up, which is understandable, but only two people working, and five minutes after I got there, one of them said "I'm leaving" and left. So there was only one person handliing a line of over half a dozen people. He did his best, but the company needs to do better.

I was told I could drop off my vehicle at 9PM—24 hours after my pickup—at a location close to where I was staying in D.C. I arrived at that location to find that it was closed, and did not allow after-hours drop-offs. I called Budget to ask what I could do. I was told I could drop off the car at the airport the next morning at 7am!! When I explained why that wouldn’t be possible (would require paying $60 to get an Uber home, was NOT what I agreed to, and impossible due to my work schedule), the representative HUNG UP ON ME. I called back, was told the same thing, and finally was told that I could drive the car back to my apartment (where I would have to pay for overnight parking), bring it back the following day (which meant taking time off of work), and, in the case that anything were to happen to the car overnight, I would be charged for all damages. For the record, I originally was comfortable leaving the car at the location with the keys inside, but the fine print of my rental contract says that in that situation, if the car is stolen, I am liable. All of this, because I was told I could drop off my rental at a location that does not do evening drop-offs. You people are morons.

We waited in line for an hour and a half at the pickup location. It was ridiculous. The car had lots of hard water spots on the windshields and mirrors making it difficult to see.

Overall Very GoodPick up & Drop off was as near perfect as possible.I was not thrilled with the vehicle but that was NOT Alamo's fault. It was the make and model of the pickup. (I would not buy this truck). I think the exit of lot could be marked better but it was not horrible.

It fit the need!Nice sized SUV (Ford Escape) given I was hauling my 1-year-old around along with several others. The experience with Alamo was very nice as they got me in and out quickly which I cannot say enough positive things about given I was lugging a baby, car seat, pack n' play, backpack, and diaper bag all by myself.Nothing really. GPS built-in would have been nice but my smartphone wedged near the dash did the trick.

Easy check-out and check-inPrompt service and friendly van drivers to and from STL to Alamo lot. I reserved a "mystery" car at a good price and got a mini Chevy SUV. Not the most comfortable ride, but overall nicer than expected.No driver's manual included in the car.

Shuttle drivers were friendly.Customer service at the front counter was not what I expected. Agents didn't acknowledge me and my sister when we entered the building and there were no other customers. When we finally got helped and asked for clarification we felt we were bothering them. We left with a bad feeling.

Windy WalkCustomer Service was pleasant. Car was washed and clean.Customer Service was good until I was asked if I was a Muslim all because I was wearing a bow tie. I don't believe that she was being racist. But she was a bit uncouth. Then I had to walk across the parking lot in the blistering wind to select my car. Fix how customers receive their cars immediately. I waited 15 to get my car. Drop off location was a bit confusing to find the exact location to drop off car.

Cigarette ashes all in the vehicle and smelled like cigarette smoke. Hertz in STL is a terrible place to get a rental. Added on costs I wasn’t aware. Customer service was terrible and I couldn’t get a hold of anyone when trying to call about the ashes. This company said it was supposed to be clean per covid standards and that was a lie.

staff was very pleasanti filled up the tank about 7 miles before returning the car. they charged me 2 gallons at $9.99 despite having a full tank. this seems very unethical. They don't tell us to overfill the tank prior to return.

The car itself was ok. Not cleaned very well, but pretty comfortable and good gas mileage. However, the pick up in St. Louis at the airport was one of my worst customer service experiences ever. It was incredibly slow and inefficient. The employees did not care one way or another if they got customers out of there or not. We waited over an hour for a car and didn’t get the car we reserved. Only because we kept asking did we end up leaving when we did. I could go on, but it will just be more negative critiques.

There was a long wait at the STL terminal for van pickup. Then a L O N G line snaking around inside the Avis office, which moved V E R Y slowly. When I finally got to the desk, the agent seemed clueless, and they couldn't seem for find a car for me. It was about a hour and a half from the time I arrived in the office 'til I got my car. (It wasn't the Prius I had ordered, but at that point I was glad to get a Nissan Altima.)

NothingLong line because the checkout process hasn't changed in 30 years. Slow computers and too many unnecessary steps. Person offered me a pickup truck to get out faster. Got to the truck and someone else was in it. Then they gave me another car which was smoked in. Had to return to another Avis. They had no cars to swap but gave me a minivan that didn't have smoke, but wasn't clean. Worst rental experience ever. Will never use Avis ever again. It will go bankrupt.

Bait and switchThey told me to take an Emerald Aisle car, which voided Kayak rate. Paid $200 more than quoted. Beware of STL location. On top of it, they were rude and condescending.
