Pros: I arrived very late at 3am and a car was ready for me to pick up. When returned, the process was very efficient and only took a few minutes with a shuttle ready to take me to the airport. I will rent from Hetrz again and KYAK rocks.
Cons: They should have a few more clear EXIT signs around the lot. I was a bit confused as to how to make my way out of the lot.

Took a long time to get the vehicle, and it could have been cleaner
Pros: Nice car, good value
Cons: Took 45 minutes to get a car with 9 people in front of us. The windows were very dirty, especially the front passenger side window that was smeared with a sticky substance. We had to buy glass cleaner and paper towels and clean all windows inside and out.

Pros: The Hertz employee helping us was wonderful.
Cons: Somehow my prepaid $136 fee turned into $189. I thought we had it fixed at the start but when dropping off the car I noticed the added charge. The explanation is still a mystery to me but at that point you just have to get to the airport. The bottom line is that it was not such a good deal. Just a regular deal.

Pros: The store lobby appearance
Cons: Over charged by over $500 Store rep did not correctly enter our reservation return location even though it was entered on the online reservation No where to park, so it's confusing where the front door is located. If you can help, never rent from this place!!!

Pros: I liked the car very much. And the attendants at the lot very helpful with finding a charge port for my phone cord.
Cons: When I got to the gate to leave, they held me there for a few minutes and then told me I had to return to lot and get another car. I was trying to follow another Hertz customer in front of me to follow to our final destination but was unable to do so. I left my Ipad in the car I returned but Hertz said they could not find. I sincerely hope one of your employees did not take for themselves.

Pros: Drop off was very easy once we found a location that was willing to help us. The Washington ave. Location in St. Louis was absolutely horrible and not willing to help us at all. We had reserved a van and they did not have any left once we arrived to pick it up.
Cons: We arrived at the Washington ave location in St. Louis and were told they didn’t have our van and it was our responsibility to find another location that had a van. Two minutes later the staff was helping another customer transfer their pickup to another location but couldn’t do the same for us?

Cons: The cost of the added insurance. I know this is an option but I paid $40 for the car and $60 for the insurance! I did not like that part.

Wrong enterprise location
Cons: This Enterprise was 40 minutes from the airport with no shuttle. The airport shuttle took us to the one in Berkley that was 5 minutes from the airport and had the shuttle. The taxi alone would have been more than the car rental

Horrible, need my money back
Pros: The enterprise that kayak selected to use was not the same location that the airport takes you to with their shuttle. Therefore I had to rent a completely different car from the airport enterprise or try to figure out some way to get 40 minutes away where the reservation was. Kayak should know that the airport shuttle does not go to the location that was selected and that it would be extremely difficult to get there without knowing a lot about that area. I didn't get to use my kayak reservation and because of kayak I had to rent 2 cars essentially and only used one. Please don't waste my money and refund my reservation.

Pros: Great car; clean, etc., nothing wrong there
Cons: Nobody likes surprises. When I was picking up the car the salesman at the desk said he could upgrade me to a full-size for $5 more, but he phrased it in terms of, "instead of your total being $74 it will be $79." I said yes and agreed to the upgrade, but when I returned the car the upgrade turned out in fact, to be $20. I was disappointed, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking that I misunderstood when I agreed to pay the upcharge. When I left the building I asked my colleague, who was there when the car was rented, but not when it was returned, how much he remembered the desk person saying was the upgrade and he recalled it was, "only $4 or $5," which made me think I did hear him right the first time. It's for sure disappointing; I can't think of a reason why someone would compromise their integrity to earn a marginal $15 for a rental car company. -Adam (254) 715-3108

What a joke!
Pros: Absolutely nothing!
Cons: I arrived at St Louis on Oct, 10th @ 10:30 pm waiting for a dollar shuttle van to pick me up. No Dollar shuttle in site, went to the courtesy phone and called Dollar rent a car it rang and rang with no answer and then said thank you good buy and hung up on me. I tried this 5 times with the same results so I got on a Hertz shuttle van and had to get a car from them. Their Sevice was very good I am thankful they could help me out of a bad situation. I give Dollar rent a car a 0 or F for service and they have lost my business forever!

Don't waste my time
Cons: I didn't like that the desk clerk tried to upgrade me without telling me to almost double my charges. My grandfather was dying, I told the clerk this, and I still had to go through a whole upsale game. I plan to never use dollar again.

Pros: everyone is super friendly and there was nothing wrong with customer service.
Cons: The car was stained (all of the seats) and dirty inside and I am sensitive to smoke and could smell, at some point, someone smoked in it.

Don't let them know where you are going.
Cons: They would not rent me the vehicle because I had to travel more then one state over from the state I was renting the vehicle from. It was an emergency and was cheaper to rent then fly. Had to see my father-in-law one last time to say goodbye before he passes away.

Pros: Drop off was fairly easy.
Cons: Car was obviously not cleaned after the last user dropped it off. Smelled strongly of curry and had food stains all over the car. I ended up cleaning it myself with some wet wipes. The outside of the car was also dirty and muddy but it was raining so I didn't care all that much.

Pros: After waiting for one agent processing over 30 people in line, another agent showed up and the entire experience took nearly 2 hours to get checked in for a reserved car.
Cons: I will never use that service again. Also, when the car was ready, I noticed the tank was only 3/4 full and there was no chance I was going back to say anything about it.

Cons: Cars were too tightly packed in the lot to be able to see all that were available, and getting them out was a challenge. The return area does not well indicate where to go at the STL airport location.

Cons: I didn't like the fact that I noticed there was no spare tire in the trunk. If something were to have happened to us and we needed to change the tire we would have been left stranded in another city/state that is unfamiliar to us. I informed two people at drop off that there was no spare but I'm not sure if or what was done. I just wouldn't want someone to need it and one not be available for use.

Pros: Great experience. From the ticket counter at the airport, super friendly and helpful lady Friday, Sept 30 @ 1:145-ish on through to the shuttle back to the airport. We had to return the car early because Hurricane Matthew shortened our trip. There was no hassle and no gimmicks about early returns and partial refund, etc.
Cons: The van would have been nice with an exterior thermometer and a compass. Other than that great.

It's pretty self-serve
Pros: I liked the car that I picked out. There was one employee that was very nice and helpful.
Cons: There wasn't a person to help me get the car. There was only a kiosk and when I had a problem with the kiosk, the employee there only spoke to me from across the room. I had to go find my own car, move another one to get the car I wanted and be unsure of what I was doing the entire time.

Cons: We were not told we needed a credit card to rent a one-way car when we made the reservation online. Also KAYAK charged us 18 dollars for accident protection, and then Alamo asked for the same charge.

Pros: Alamo is always easy to work with and when I forgot to grab my jacket out of the back seat they contacted me right away to confirm which address they should ship it to...
Cons: The car was a last minute rental due to a flight cancellation resulting in travel changes, and was a little pricey. Car was nice but could have been cleaner...I ended up buying an air freshener!

They truly tried .
Pros: We came in on Christmas Day and there was a shortage of cars with flights delayed and rerouted passengers. So their systems were skewed with last minute changes. They worked so hard and were honestly trying to do their best to please so many frustrated customers. We appreciated their efforts through the hectic process and pleased that they were able to provide a car for us through all their confusion.

Pros: they accommodated me by giving me a higher grade vehicle.
Cons: I paid for a traverse and the Avis rep tried to give me a minivan. He also was not going to budge. He gave me back my license and credit card after said I could go elsewhere. My problem is i prepaid for my traverse and he did not care. I was not going to stand for that and therefore i started making phone calls to other rent a car places. My husband spoke with the rep and he finally tried to give us a Ford 4wd or an expedition.

Pros: I drove 44 miles. I picked up a car that didn't have a full gas tank however I would be penalized if I returned in the same condition. No one checked my car upon return. I was told to leave my keys in car and they would send me my receipt. I travel weekly for business and this was my first such experience.

Pros: Van was clean
Cons: Wait was 1hr and a half because the computers were down. Only given a 10 passenger van reserved a 12 passenger van.

Cons: The regular car sizes weren't available so we were rented a full size van- could be risky for those who don't know how to drive that. And a bit too much for 1 adult and 1 child.
