Alamo St. LouisPros:Friendliness of staff.Cons:Both trucks that I tried had smoke smell. It was after 1:00am in the morning so I just decided to take the one that smelt less. I thought all vehicles were smoke free. I guess I was wrong.Reviewed Sep 20 2017

Good SUV Ering CarPros:I liked the Nissan Rogue and the one way rental rate.Cons:They gave me the wrong SUV in St. Louis which created a return mess in Dallas. Fortunately, an e,cellent Alamo employee figured it oit after 45 minutes.Reviewed Nov 13 2017

Pros:Staff in STL were very friendly, efficient, and professional.Cons:The cars infotainment system kept dropping Apple Carplay. I had to reinsert the cable multiple times (I would guess about 75 times) to keep my map of the route going. This was not safe.Reviewed Jul 29 2020

Pros:Everything for the most part was super easy!Cons:Instructions on how to pick up the rental. I didn’t know how to get into the place to pick up the rental car. Come to find out you park outside of the fence and walk in.Reviewed Jan 5 2020

Pros:Nice people, relatively quick pick up and drop off.Cons:Vehicle had bad windshield wipers that needed to be replaced and the low tire pressure light was on from the beginning, so it was a little more stressful than it needed to be when driving at highway speeds not knowing if the tire(s) were low. Given it wasn't my car I had no way of checking and didn't have time to stop or return to the agency.Reviewed May 7 2020

Ridiculous fee of $820 to return Nissan Armada to different location.Pros:Our rental vehicle was a Nissan Armada. Nice vehicle. We drove from Rockton, IL to Granite City, IL where the engine in my 2008 GMC Yukon XL Denali blew. We picked up the Nissan Armada offsite of Lambert St Louis Airport. We were enroute to our Son's US Air Force Basic Military training graduation in San Antonio, TX. We were quoted a rate of $637.xx for the week, May 29-June 6.Cons:My 2008 GMC Yukon XL Denali was mechanically disabled and towed by OnStar to a dealership in Collinsville, IL. It would have been $700-800 to have our vehicle towed home by a tow company. In trying to figure out how to get a vehicle back to Rockton, IL with all our people, we called Alamo to see about returning the Nissan to Rockford, IL instead of St Louis as scheduled. Alamo wanted an ADDITIONAL $820. We returned the Nissan Armada to Alamo 15 1/2 hours early. We then rented a Chevrolet Suburban LT from Budget rental car offsite of Lambert St Louis Airport. It was a little over $200 for the Chevrolet rental, to pick up in St Louis and to return to Rockford, (Illinois) International Airport. RIDICULOUS cost from Alamo. When I called Alamo to inquire about returning the Nissan to Rockford, IL instead of St Louis, the Alamo agent who answered the phone, hung up on me as I was asking a question. VERY RUDE.Reviewed Jun 7 2017
