Terrible, but I don’t know who is to blame. The van was Not available. I was turned away without a vehicle and no one to remedy my situation. Hertz attendant told me this happens often. I had to file a claim with my credit card company for rental AND damage waiver insurance.
The damage had previous damage that is documented yet the company is trying to blame me for it. Also it was not made clear that when doing a pre-paid rental throughAffirm that you cant complete the rental because you do not have a physical card and the deposit fee is not included. So on the day of the trip i had to come up with 500 and what for a refund.
Absolutely horrible - poor service do not recommend. Booked a mid size/regular car on Monday afternoon to pick up on Thursday, arrived for my scheduled appointment and after waiting for 50 minutes they had no vehicle options available (no cars except for totally electric, no offered upgrades, nothing). Short hair lady was totally absolutely rude, manager sitting right next to her was no help, and then at 5:00pm (website hours say location is open until 6:00pm) was on the phone with customer service when they kicked me out of the building. Apparently I gave her the wrong look so she said “yea rollin your eyes now you definitely ain’t gettin a car”… Was leaving in the morning for a business trip and had to take a personal vehicle, threw a wrench in my whole trip schedule. They DO NOT CARE about customer service would suggest another location.
They charged my card and DID NOT HAVE A CAR AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP. I WANT MY REFUND AND NO ONE WILL SPEAK TO ME!!! I will NEVER use Kayak or HERTZ AGAIN!! HORRIBLE!!
They cancelled my reservation the night before and said they did not have any inventory
I didn’t like anything about the experience. There were no cars available for rental at any Hertz location which was a waste of time and energy. The company reps refused to assist me with contacting other locations for availability. I was able to finally obtain a rental from Enterprise and will just stick to them in the future because although they were out of cars they actually contacted me to get me set up with another location that had a car in stock for me.
