Perfect, loved everything
Good location, plenty of parking. Sign said property is under renovation but we saw no evidence of this. An update is sorely needed but more importantly, cleaning crew needs supervision.
Rooms not clean. Sheets and towels had holes in them or permanent stains. Cleaning was subpar with hair in the shower on our arrival and toiletries half-empty.
Conviently located to Jefferson’s Monticello. Hotel facilities were great. The staff were all friendly.
The pool and gym were Great !!! Although You need a set of 8 pound free weights in the gym. 5 pds are often too little weight and 10 pds can be too heavy for certain exercises. 8 is perfect. The beds were Incredibly comfortable and the room was very clean and nice and cool. Staff were very nice (:
There seemed to be a few homeless people lurking in the Frizby park behind the place. Made me feel a little nervous walking my dog.
A good breakfast was included as well as afternoon tea. Hotel had a good feel to it.
When you are looking to enjoy some of the great sights in America, the Blue Ridge Mountains along with the home of Thomas Jefferson come to mind right away. Charlottesville, VA is a great place to take in both. This small Virginia city is known for being the home of the University of Virginia, and it has a colonial charm to it that many other places have outgrown. Hotels in the area are expected to provide warm service, as if you’re an old friend while the hotels themselves should have comfortable amenities. Fortunately, when booking a room at the English Inn of Charlottesville, that’s exactly what you get.
The English Inn of Charlottesville is located close to all the important sights. The hotel itself has just 106 different rooms and is designed to be reminiscent of a country inn. Everything – down to the décor and the wall treatments – is modern yet evokes a time that isn’t so formal, a time when hospitality was a most important quality. With a kitchenette and full-size refrigerator, you get lots of space to store leftovers.
There are several other amenities in the hotel as well. The pool is perfect for getting some swimming in – if you have kids this is a great way to have them use up their excess energy. Airport transportation helps you get to and from the hotel and the airport without having to rent a car and rush around. You can also start your day off with a great breakfast.
The English Inn of Charlottesville provides a charming setting to enjoy this great American city.
