8,8 Excellent
Pros: The open spaces, high ceilings, room floors and polite staff
6,2 Good
Pros: The staff was helpful and nice
Cons: They need to update the hotel a bit it's very dated it's like stepping into 1945. They need to make the hotel like Thr terrace they have on the very top there is a restaurant there and it's the only area of the hotel that I would consider a 5. Star.they should use the style of that restaurant for the entire hotel.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Generro (spelling) at the front desk was wonderful. He made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was outstanding. The hotel staff was superb. I would absolutely return.
Cons: The only downside was the Caruso restaurant. It was overpriced, the staff was horrible and the food was not good at all. The hotel really needs to start completely over. With so many wonderful options everywhere around you, avoid it at all costs.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, position was perfect
Cons: Room balcony was a home for seagulls.
6,5 Good
Pros: Old. Needs a complete renovation of interior. Wi fi also needs to be updated and strenghthened. Location and rooftop restaurant are only selling points right now.

Pros: A classy old fashioned hotel in a very pleasant waterfront location, with wonderful views across Naples Bay. Staff were friendly, and the concierge in particular was most helpful. Good variety at breakfast.

They certainly succeeded with us. Service second to none. Thanks

Pros: In the last 12 months I spent 170 nights (!) at very good hotels! I therefore have the capability to compare hotels in 136 countries worldwide. This hotel is bombastic, wonderful, excellent and top class! Every single member of the staff is incredibly nice and cordial. Reception staff is so very helpful and nice! My room 318 was world class! Top design, wonderful bed, superb decoration, fairy tale views. If 100 points are possible I give 100. Because this is a superb hotel from A to Z! The location directly by the Mediterranean is so lovely! Decoration throughout the hotel is magnificent and very posh! Food is a dream! Breakfast contains a lot of spacialities from the area and it‘s simply top! Naples as a city has a bad reputation. If you get there you have no choice but loving this city! It has 100 wonderful places to see and I felt totally safe! My stay here touched my heart and I can only recommend you to go there and spend a most wonderful time! Naples is super great! Love it deep inside my heart!
Cons: Impossible not to like certain things here! All my life long I travelled to the best places all over the world. This hotel is love at first sight and a superb place!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: On my arriving day it was my birthday and I found a lithe chocolate cake in my room, a very nice detail from the hotel, I really appreciate it!
7,7 Good
Pros: Triple was a great size for 3. They gave us a boxed breakfast to go as we left very early in the morning for a flight. Only stayed 1 night, but it was in a great location. Near lots of restaurants.
Cons: They need magnifying mirror in bathroom

Pros: Location: 2 minutes from Toledo subway station. You can see the hotel from the exit of the station. There were many restaurants around the hotel and a small supermarket was located next to the hotel. The view from the breakfast room was fantastic. Room: It was spacious, comfortable and clean. Toiletries were minimum(shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel ans soap) It would be nice if a coffee maker or an electronic kettle was equipped at the room. Breakfast was good although the buffet menu was same everyday.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: We wound up having to find a hotel for an extra night at the last minute & needed a late night arrival (racing to beat the Lufthansa strike). This hotel worked perfect. Great breakfast & staff were all very friendly. Nice size room with lots of power plugs.
Cons: They said the shuttle would be 35 Euro but wound up to be 41. Not a huge deal but....
7,0 Good
Pros: Small and nice hotel with friendly staff. Very close to the Cavalleggeri Aosta stop of the L2 railway line. The hotel has a small hall with bar, a relax area and new, even though small, rooms.
Cons: The area where it stands is not nice and there are few places to eat. The L2 line is not a metro line but a railway line running to the center every 20 minutes. After 10 p.m. the L2 line doesn’t reach the stop near the hotel and stops at the previous stop. From there you have to walk 15 minutes to reach the hotel.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is clean, modern and comfortable. Staff exceptional and breakfast very nice. Location near a metro station therefore handy for tourism. Also lots of bars, restaurants and shops nearby.
Cons: My only criticism could be that the cappuccino came from a coffee machine therefore the milk had the taste of powdered milk. I didn't ask but if not present a real cappuccino would have made the hotel too perfect! Also the location may not be good for some, we were visiting family nearby so this not an issue for us.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was nice and the staff was excellent! I chose the hotel because of the location close to an event I was interested in.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were modern and clean. Breakfast was wonderful!

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpful in all the meaning. Special thx to Alberto in front desk and his colleagues for all the support and charming welcoming.
Cons: I loved the hotels.. Just if they have a restaurant would be perfect. But there is many restaurants in walking distance

Cons: Nothing i disliked
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. Very friendly staff. Clean and quirky. Just loved it. Will definitely come back. There are a lot of stairs to climb. But this was not a problem for us. Breakfast was varied and well worth the 5 euro
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing situated in the centre of the Historic District nearest one of the best Pizzerias (ll' President) and not too far from the ports, train station and the funicular. The property was kept to an immaculate standard and each room was well-designed and airconditioned, not to mention the property had an amazing balcony with lots of plants.
Cons: I only wished that there were more comfortable chairs on the balcony, honestly, that is it.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The property was quiet yet well placed in the bustling Centro Storico. The private sun terrace, the aircon and the ensuite shower facilities were our saviour in mid 30s temperatures. The attention to detail in the property was great, things were well thought out.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing old building. Beautifully decorated.
Cons: Lots of stairs but we were expecting this as the owners are very clear about it.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Pros: incredible accomodation hosted by such lovely and genuine people. The room was spacious and comfortable with a fantastic quirky and artistic edge. Free tea and coffee, and an incredibly clean shared bathroom!
Cons: Cons: That we didn’t stay longer! Also be aware of the 8 flights of stairs needed to be climbed to reach the top - not for the faint hearted! Owner was using a hammer to hang paintings at 11pm - strange ahah

Pros: Our host took the time to show us what we needed to know to get around the city and have a complete experience. Much appreciated.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful host. He helped us find our way through the city and made a ‘mini tour’ for us for the night we had in Naples. Helped us plan other trips from Naples (to Positano and airport). Also gave us some pizza to enjoy on the terrace
Cons: Don’t go to the wrong building! Carefully look at the map and enter the right building before going up to the 8th floor.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: - staff - location - view of Vesuvio, Railway Station, Piazza Garibaldi, Porto, Castello San Martino
Cons: - no curtain in front of door, so people eventually can look thru glass in your room especially at dark hours. - a blanket in cupboard would have been nice
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice view and very friendly host.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It's a fabulous view up there. It's very clean and careful. There's all you need for rest. The place is near train station and metro so you don't need a lot to move. The staff is pleasant and gentle , if you need something or some information it's all yours. I am very satisfied about my stay there! You're doing great. Keep going!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great room friendly and helpful host
Cons: The very small elevator takes you up to the seventh floor and the hotel is on the 8th floor. An extra pillow would have been good and some milk and cups to make a cup of tea

Pros: Staff are amazing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to dining and shopping. Close to the port to catch the ferry to Capri and the other islands. Its the best hang out spot in naples. Staff was friendly.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I love this hotel. Extraordinary location, room with the view on the sea, super clean. Very comfortable bed, I think the best bed I have ever met in hotels. Very pleasant lobby.
Cons: Only the breakfast is not so extraordinary. Rather medium.
6,2 Good
Cons: They implied that breakfast was included then we got whacked for 27 a head on breakfast. Most expensive muffin I ever ate
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was great. Walking distance to many restaurants
Cons: Seemed like one day this was a grand hotel. Today it's old and dusty. The room size was great but the sheets were rough and the hallways looked like they needed to be vacuumed.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Sacrifice small accommodations for central location than this hotel is OK. Great breakfast buffet
Cons: Shower was really small
9,7 Excellent
Cons: The bed was not comfortable and the walls were thin. A lot of noise at midnight
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location and cleanliness.
Cons: Very uncomfortable mattress and pillows. Breakfast was not good.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, old-style hotel. The room was clean, comfortable. I especially appreciate tea, kettle and small sweet present from hotel. Beautiful view!!! The hotel is located in nice and save area of Naples. The main shopping street only 10 min walking distance. A lot of restaurants around.
Cons: The hotel is badly reachable with public transport, so I have to take taxi. Taxi was organized by hotel. Since I don't use cash much, I ask at reception - how much will be trip to airport to prepare cash. They told me it is 25 euro, flat rate. At the end of the trip taxi driver asked my to pay more. I start to argue about flat rate. Driver told me - it is because of Sunday: On Sunday there is extra charge. What?? On any my comments - he told me that he doesn't speak english nevertheless for asking extra charge he was speaking good. It was not big money for me , I just don't like when drivers provided by hotel try to cheat me. So end of the weekend was spoiled.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Old world charm and great location. Staff was very helpful.
Cons: Rooms were a bit dated.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, limo/town car service, and express check-in. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A high class hotel, friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast. Location is good with nice views of the port and mt. Vesuvius. Five minutes walk to San Carlo theater (City center), or to municipio or Universidad stations on the metro L1 line. Room was ample and very clean. Room service was very efficient with good food. The Michelin star restuarant was flawless. Spa facilities innovative and nice.
Cons: Spa treatment wasn't professional enough, according to our expectations.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I found location is very convenient and practically it has walking distance for lots of city’s bright spots. Excellent sound isolation for the road noise and modern design.
Cons: I wish air-conditioning to be adjustable in the room, rather than centralised.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Top class. Couldn’t have been more comfortable or convenient. Staff were excellent. Some lovely small restaurant nearby and easy access to the main sights. Oh, and the breakfast was really good, with fine views of Vesuvius.
Cons: Nothing.
6,0 Good
Pros: Hotel was nice- Modern and up to date
Cons: The neighborhood was terrible= Naples looked like it was rundown with crime from where this hotel was situated. The room was small and somehow, the shower opened directly to the bed. The lights in the room were on a sensor- so if you are showering and not moving, the lights shut off within 60 seconds. on my high standard, the hotel was essentially built to try and be a 5star, but failed to get there. the beds were terrible as well- 5 star hotel, i expect a queen or a king bed that is not a stiff European bed on a board. If you want a 5star luxury hotel, its not that. But it was nice.
7,9 Good
Pros: Hotel was very nice, couldn’t fault the hotel or room itself.
Cons: Location, Naples isn’t a nice location. Very poor area, lots of rubbish in the streets & very polluted
9,1 Excellent
Pros: The Romeo is an upscale, eclectic hotel, near the waterfront in Naples. The service is generally excellent, and the rooftop pool is unusual and not to be missed. The rooms are high tech, perhaps too much so.
Cons: The overnight shift at the front desk could use some retraining - indifference seems to be the primary attitude. Naples itself seems safe and is a vibrant city, but it sure is dirty and needs routine litter pick up and infrastructure maintenance.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The spa
Cons: The massage was shorter than I paid for die to lack of employees
7,9 Good
Pros: Room space Cleanness Stuff
Cons: The air conditioner won’t work in winter so you have to keep the windows open unless there is rain or street noise then your will literally sweat. And there is no ironing allowed in the hotel if you want to iron your clothes you have to give for laundry
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing
Cons: Nothing
Unahotels Napoli - Naples - Building
9
8,6 Excellent (3 501 reviews)
R2 043+
Overview Reviews
An historical building in a central position, opposite Naples Central Station, accurately restored to its XIX Century grandeur. The interiors, recalling local traditions decors, rough tuff stones, Pompeian red, Pulcinella shapes with impressive architectural design, give life to 89 well appointed rooms, a bar, and a restaurant on the panoramic roof garden. Free Wi-Fi connection. Close to the hotel the metro stop Garibaldi M1 directly connected to the most beautiful sites of the city.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, if small. Very nice breakfast and bar area on the top floor.
Cons: The location on Piazza Garibaldi is convenient but has its drawbacks, number one being the loud and crazy traffic. The windows are good at blocking almost all the noise, but some gets through.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Located near train station in Naples in a "rough" neighborhood, the hotel was a quiet oasis. Had early morning train to catch. Without asking the staff offered a bag breakfast to take on the train.
7,0 Good
Pros: the rooftop lounge has a great view and is a nice place to sit in morning or evening
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Unahotel exceeded our expectations. From check in to check out the staff were welcoming, friendly, and progressional. Our room was comfortable and we appreciated all the little extras and the heritage features of the building’s makeover. The view from the rooftop is brilliant. Loved the breakfast.
Cons: It’s a bit of a schelp across the piazza from the train/metro/buses as the flagstones are not friendly to luggage. Walk on the left side facing the hotel to avoid the riff raff. But then when you get in the door it’s a wee haven
7,1 Good
Pros: Location near the station and city centre
Cons: Reception area was a bit non descriptive for that price of hotel
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was great. Close to the central train terminal and the metro and the Circumvesuviana for visiting Pompei and Vesuvius. Everything was clean, well decorated, breakfast was nice, we enjoyed the roof bar and room service. They even brought a basket of complimentary items up, razor and shaving cream, needle and thread, nail file, printed train reservations for us...the hotel was great. Walking distance to Antiqe pizzeria de Michele. Also fortuna pizza next door was tasty and cheap but not much to look at.
Cons: Naples. The city is a bit gross. The street behind the hotel was covered in garbage. I also wish there was a straight forward pedestrian crossing, we ended up doing a lot of jay walking. But once you are within the walls of the hotel everything is great.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast, nice bathroom and quiet room
Cons: Room quote small this time

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We’re just back home from Naples and we couldn’t be more pleased with our stay at the Renaissance Naples Hotel. The hospitality and level of service were outstanding and we will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends. I sincerely believe excellent service starts from the top and with the personal example by the hotel manager Mr Pasquale Noli. A well deserved 10/10! Saul and Olga
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
7,5 Good
Pros: The rooms are clean, staff friendly and location is good.
Cons: WiFi isn’t for free and bad quality. That is no good value for money in this class of hotel.
5,0 Okay
Cons: Gym is not really in hotel and not available when needed. Hours on the facilities are not very convenient. Restaurant needs more options. Room was very small, compared to photos on website.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great hotel in a good location for getting around the sights of Naples. They have a fantastic selection of food at breakfast and very attentive staff. The bar staff were excellent and remembered what each of us were drinking. We arrived on my partner's 50th birthday and having let the hotel know, we had a bottle of sparkling wine in the room on arrival. It was a lovely touch. One day the room was very warm and reception said that as it was winter, the cold air wasn't on, but they dealt with this very well by getting the housekeeping to leave the window open and providing a fan. Overall a very good hotel in a great central location.
Cons: One thing that was a little disappointing was that the wifi isn't free. We paid for it one day and the signal wasn't very good so definitely something to improve on.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful breakfast terrace viewing sunrise over the Vezov
5,4 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfortable good location
Cons: No air conditioning and told to open window. Room very hot. Breakfast disgraceful
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Most staff were efficient and friendly. Hotel is very clean and the view from the breakfast area is wonderful.
Cons: I booked a deluxe room but was told we got an upgrade to superior. I always thought a deluxe was better than a superior. The room was very small so I asked to be changed. The replacement room was bigger with a bigger bed but nothing special and the bathroom was very tight.
4,0 Okay
Pros: The gym was perfect

Pros: The view is incredible; so is the building, which retains lots of its historical charm. The breakfast is ample and well done on a huge terrace overlooking Naples.

Pros: Stayed with a group of friends and then one night on my own. Situated in a very old building with a traditional inner courtyard, the rooms are comfortable with modern bathrooms and AC. A nice European breakfast is served with a variety of pastries, cold meats, fruit, yogurt and tea/coffee. It is self service. The receptionist was very friendly with somewhat limited English but we had absolutely no problem communicating. She was able to set up a taxi at 4am for some of our very early departures and made sure they could access the coffee machine! Has the added benefit of being steps away from Cafe Gambrinus, a famous spot for meals, pastries and gelato
Cons: Can’t think of anything.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Themed rooms in a big traditional courtyard building. Thin walls. Comfy mattresses. We had a problem with the toilet continuously flushing but they fixed by the evening. Friendly, helpful staff. A little, local family trattoria and also a popular pizzeria just along the road. Walking distance to historic streets, piazza, metro etc
Cons: Thin walls meant it could be noisy with people coming in late.

Pros: Loved the room and then location was fantastic. Breakfast was a little disappointing but it would not stop us going back. The female staff have very little English so communication was hard when requesting a taxi booking.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone at Montespina was very kind, professional, available and ready to help when needed. Staff there is truly fantastic! The restaurant was good as was breakfast. We came in November so unfortunately couldn't use the amazing pool. This said, we very much enjoyed our stay (easy ride to Naples city centre with line 9, a short 10 min walk from the hotel).
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast and great easy location. The front staff was very helpful on helping on my journey to a morning run. No night noises allowed me to rest really well.
Cons: The rooms need a little renoval and the shutters need to be more blackout. The outside lights were getting in easily.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Friendly helpful staff and a comfortable bed.
Cons: Not safe to keep window open at night because of shutters so no fresh air while I slept increased the eerie feeling of staying in a fairly empty resort. The location is a bit far from anywhere.
7,5 Good
Pros: Room was very clean, spacy and wifi very quick. Personel was very helpfull. Location was very nice. Although the entrance to the park was a bit hidden. For italian use: tall beds (1.90 and fitted well).
Cons: We orded diner in the restaurant arround 1900, food came quick but was cold and the taste was disputable. Although quite expensive, the food did not at all live up to the expectations.

The 169 rooms and suites, furnished with precious fabrics in warm colours, provide guests a panoramic view of the city or of the magnificent courtyard. The hotel's 8 meeting rooms can host up to 200 people and are equipped with the most modern technology. They offer all the space required for holding business meetings or private events, impeccably organised by a staff of expert professionals.
4,0 Okay
Pros: The best thing about this hotel was its location - directly across the street from the Naples train terminal. That made day trips extremely convenient; no waiting for numerous subway/metro stops. Easy access to Herculaneum/Pompeii, and Sorrento. Also convenient (but less so) to walk to the historic district. The staff was very friendly & helpful, and spoke English very well. The Eataly restaurant on site served us a great meal our first night (but see below about breakfast!). Decor is modestly posh - the lobby area is very spacious and seating is very comfortable. The bar served us good drinks.
Cons: Well, first of all, we stayed there for 4 days/4 nights in January. We only had adequate heat one of those nights! The next day the maid turned our thermostats down all the way, turned the fans to low, and then turned the systems off entirely - talk about weird overkill (management said that was never allowed)! A couple of nights there was no heat at all. Another gripe was the breakfast buffet: advertised as "American" breakfast (odd, considering that we were the only Yanks there), the scrambled eggs were very undercooked every day, meat selection was so-so, "bacon" was fried ham - not pancetta, and no good cheeses (except for the presence of small containers of ricotta - went well with the fruit). The pastries were pretty good, with the Neapolitan chocolate cake (with almond flavor?) being great, and their Neapolitan version of sfoglia being excellent. Apricots were good, and they had a jar of delicious cherries every day. Finally, being across from the train station, the traffic was really busy, and Naples drivers are overly fond of their horns - for any reason (& no reason at all). Not the fault of the hotel, but it was kinda noisy until later in the night, when the crowd thinned out.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfy, the rooms were very clean, shower was hot and had good water pressure, the included breakfast was amazing!
Cons: Only thing not so good about this hotel is the location. Right next to the central train station, which is convenient, however the area is sketchy. Lots of pickpockets
9,0 Excellent
Cons: The room was quite cold
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was well located in what is probably the only clean pet of Naples
Cons: Not the fault of the hotel but Naples is the dirtiest city I have ever been to.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast is good
Cons: When we were checking in, our reservation has been canceled. Therefore, it took a long time for checking in. Room was not so good.
7,7 Good
Pros: Overall the hotel and room were very nice. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. Also, the restaurant was very nice for lunch and dinner. I was here to present at a conference and the conference rooms of the hotel were nice and they provided folders, papers, pens, and water for participants. The hotel was right next to the central metro station which was very convenient to get on the metro and do some sightseeing. However, I don't think this hotel is in a "tourist area" and it is more where the locals go to catch the bus and the metro.
Cons: The hotel is in a sketchy area and the room I had was noisy. I would not go out after dark. I was sexually harassed on the street one night while I was trying to get dinner. During the day was okay though. The room was also cold at night and no matter what setting I put the thermostat at the temperature never changed. The tv and treadmill in the fitness center did not work. Also, the business center was not available due to renovations. In addition, I asked the front desk staff what/where there was to sightsee and I was just given a city map with no indication of where things were located. The woman just circled a broad area of the map and told me to go there. That was not helpful at all.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Arriving by train, the location is truly the best for visiting the city: a few meters from the train station and immediately in front of the metro station. The area is very nice and safe..the hotel (i think) recently renovated, it is very clean, has a good breakfast and everything else you may need. Walking around the city, I really thought there could be no better choice!
Cons: I wish there had been some pizza at breakfast ... to tell the truth I ate so much pizza in Naples that it actually doesn't make sense! ... Nothing to complain about!!
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Clean good value and THE closest to train station. Other hotels advertise they are close but you would have to navigate across very busy streets. Staying at this hotel because of its proximity to the train station was the best move we could have made!
Cons: Staff was not helpful over a few small matters.
6,8 Good
Pros: Excellent location, clean room and good breakfast.
Cons: Extremely small room with very soft/worn mattress, safe deposit box in room does not work and extremely small shower stall (can't even bend down).
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Best breakfast out of all the hotels on our 10 day Italy trip. Great selection. Beautiful dining area.
Cons: Pillows could have been softer.
Palazzo Caracciolo Napoli - Mgallery - Naples - Building

8,4 Excellent (3 063 reviews)

Overview Reviews
The sophisticated decor of the 146 rooms in this stunning hotel help create the perfect blend of historic detail and modern comfort.
7,0 Good
Pros: The hotel was very fancy from a traditional perspective. The staff were polite and helpful. There were lots of complimentary toiletries (including conditioner, which seems rarer and rarer in hotels these days). There's a little spa area in the basement which was delightful - especially because I happened to get the whole place to myself when I went (note: it costs extra) The bed was incredibly comfy. I slept way more than I was planning to just because the bed was so nice.
Cons: When it came to technology, I wasn't impressed. The Wifi, for example, was very inconsistent throughout the hotel. (For any nerds reading this - I was seeing around 8% packet loss from my room). Also, the room didn't have a smart TV, which other Italian hotels I've stayed in do have. The hotel felt a bit out of place in the area it's located in. A huge majestic building surrounded by shops selling cut-price kitchen equipment.
7,7 Good
Pros: Common spaces were beautiful and location great. Restaurant was delicious for dinner.
Cons: Sub-par rooms, no kettle in room, clueless staff (nobody knew what a bath mat was, for example), broken fridge they wouldn’t fix (they said it’s supposed to be warm!), took 30 minutes to get my car (they had said 15 minutes), also no breakfast. Stayed at a much cheaper and nicer hotel down the block. Wish I had booked that hotel for my days in Naples! You can get much better value than this hotel. A fail for the Sofitel chain.
7,0 Good
Pros: Modern, typical of a chain hotel. Dinner & breakfast nice. Staff helpful and obliging. Comfy bed, good quality linen & fluffy towels.
Cons: Outside of hotel - whole road dug up and cordoned off so difficult to walk around. Had booked 2 superior twins, we requested a double in advance, hotel obliged but gave us a standard double and it was basic with a view over air con and roof. The twin we also booked was large and had a pleasant enough view at the front of the hotel. We booked this hotel specifically because it had a spa, appreciating that this was an additional charge we asked how we go about using it on a Sunday afternoon. We were told that the spa was closed but we could book it for the following day, we were checking out the following day. This was disappointing. Final point- Excellent shower but over the bath which filled to the shins with water in both rooms, so not a one off plumbing issue.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff were lovely and the hotel very comfortable and convenient - good small gym and bar area outside too
Cons: The hotel restaurant staff were slow and the menu not enough choice and overpriced
3,4 Mediocre
Pros: Good breakfast.
Cons: Poor service, and the wifi did not work for 2 out of 4 days of stay.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms and the Palatial interior Courtyard
Cons: Neighbor was a little rough but eclectic
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Loved the area - very old area of the city. Neighborhood is very real (not glitzy or pretentious) and gives a view of the quotidian Napoli. Some of the oldest and best pizzerias are in this area.
Cons: Key cards did not work reliably for rooms
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Palazzo Caracciolo was the best part of my visit to Napoli. I have dreamed of visiting this part of the world for many years and without my stay at the Palazzo Caracciolo I think I would have been a little disappointed in my visit to Napoli. The Hotel was fantastic!!
Cons: Weather
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful courtyard with inexpensive breakfast that is all natural and organic including traditional Italian meats
Cons: The gym facilities are terrible for weightlifting. Good for cardio.

Pros: The breakfast was great and in a beautiful room. The bellhop was very attentive and quickly helped us pack and unpack our car on the busy street. The housekeepers were very good about tidying the rooms, and checking in on us.
Cons: One of the evenings, the front desk staff (a woman; didn’t catch her name) was rude to my wife when she asked about nearby restaurants that delivered, as she has recently had a knee replacement and can’t get around as quickly or as easily as an able bodied person on the narrow cobblestone streets of Naples.
