They didn't have any cars to rent that day. None at all. I found out at the last minute, had to cancel the reservation, and then 4 days later I got a bill for not showing up to pick up my rental.I've called them twice and both times Budget said they would fix it "right away", but nothing has happened. Ive put the charges into contest with my credit card company. Budget is a real pain!Reviewed Oct 28 2025

I reserved a luxury vehicle, but none were available when I arrived. I understand that these things happen, but I was still charged the luxury rate even though I was given a standard car. Additionally, the clerk marked existing scratches on his copy of the damage slip but left my copy blank. Normally, both copies are filled out together to reflect the same information. It felt like he intentionally left mine blank so that when I returned the car at JFK, it would appear as if the vehicle had no prior damage—even though it clearly did. Will never use Budget again.Reviewed May 26 2025
