I could check-in earlier, before 2 pm, it was very nice. Breakfasts were very good for the price 10 € , and I liked a large and comfortable bed.
I didn't like bathroom which was not properly cleaned, shower leaked, mushrooms growing on ceiling, dust on the blind and someone's hair. No bottle of water in the room, I thought it was a standard in today's world. No placards to hang "do not disturb".
Nothing. A very poor basic breakfast. Some weird disgusting water was flowing instead of the juice.
We would like to complain about our stay in Neufchatel hotel. Actually it was a total disappointment and a shock. First of all the entrance to the hotel is three steps up without access for stroller or wheelchair users. The elevator was broken and we had to walk to the fourth floor on foot. But it was okay in comparison with going down the stairs since it is extremely steep and narrow. We were with our two year old child and it was very dangerous. Secondly the room turned out to be really destroyed! A huge metal part was detached from the central heating and every single second I was afraid it would fall on my son. The color on the walls was destroyed. The floor lamp was broken and it we had to lean it to the wall so it doesn't fall. The handle in the bathroom was destroyed. I had a feeling that there had been a war in the room. Thirdly the room was extremely! dirty. The lamp was covered with a thick layer of dust, there were pieces of plastic on the floor and some other rubbish. There was a weird unbelievably dirty rusty fan on the table. It was really disgusting to stay in the room. Fourthly, there were no cups and kettle,no glasses for drinking. We had a feeling that we were not in a European hotel but in a Medieval cowshed. Fifthly, a very rude lady on the reception. When I complained about all the above mentioned things she told me that it was our problem and we could leave the hotel if we didn't like something. She didn't even excuse! Nothing! We really don't understand for what we payed 200€. The hotel is not worth even a dollar. We would like to get the refund. The Neufchatel spoilt not only our holiday but also my birthday since the trip was a present from my husband
Photos in the booking web page was totally different from real situation. Room accommodation was very bad. Staff was very unfriendly.
Quiet and cosy, not far from the city center and with a very friendly staff.
The location was great, very central! The room was very clean and surprisingly quiet. The staff was nice.
The design is very dark and a bit weird. Our room was just near the lobby so it was a bit odd since the minute you leave the room you are at the lobby with everyone. The staff was not overboard nice and the welcome was not very professional. We only spent one night in the hotel so it was fine but I wouldn't stay there longer. There is no air-conditioner. For us it worked fine because it wasn't that warm but I assume it can be a problem.
