Pros: The physical property and location were attractive.
Cons: The air conditioning did not cool the room. Only had one power outlet which worked sporadically. The hair dryer didn’t work. Makeup mirror was too high and too far.

Pros: Staff, especially Pauline, made us feel very welcome from the onset. Great room with all mod cons. Hotel ideal position for ‘ old Lyon’
Cons: Having to go up and down 200+ steps to the ‘old town’. But can forgive that as great hotel.

Cons: Nothing really.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the Club, access to drinks and snacks 24hrs a day with light food between 6.30-9.30 was amazing. Loved the small offerings of gluten free snacks too. This hotel has a perfect location on the banks of the Rhône, within walking distance of most things. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good. The staff was very helpful. The location was good. Even in the rain we walked everywhere.
Cons: Who ever designed the bathroom should have their head examined. Basically it is a glass room with ribs. There are photos of it. But even when I am with my wife of 34-years, I want some privacy. You can see and hear everything (I mean everything). I am into post modernist design, but some practicality, please. Even the bathroom door was difficult to close from the inside. It was just weird and annoying.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the free snacks, breakfast, endless soft drinks/water. The rooms were cozy as well with really comfortable beds and pillows. Staff is also very friendly. The manager saw our big suitcase and gave us a bigger room, so we could be comfortable. I thought that was really nice, and he always had a smile on his face!
Cons: The bathroom door was a little uncomfortable because it was heavy and wouldn't stay open, but that was a minor discomfort compared to everything else.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The central location, view of the Rhone River, nice room, great terrace, breakfast, and very professional and helpful staff.
Cons: strange perfume smell to the room.

Pros: Being able to live in a 16th century building, in the midst of a 16th century neighborhood, with modern creature comforts
Cons: Not enough light in the room and no place in the room to sit and read. There wasn’t even one decent chair.. The bathroom was poorly designed. Pros: Flexibility Friendly staff -special that thanks to Ms.Paskal

Cons: The power switch in the room was creating constant buzzing noises that interfere with sleep all nights long. The ventilation system is quite loud as well, so instead we decided to keep the windows open overnight, though it created another issue with paassing trains. The hotel is near the railway station that you mast pass every time you go to the center and it is quite far from all sightseeing locations. It would be nice have more options for the breakfast, for example, fresh juice, scrambled eggs, sausages.

7,0 Good
Pros: Location, breakfast, bed (!), space, view (Karloff suite) Presence at reception. Doorman. Helpful but not pushy! Cleanliness.
Cons: Tight seating at breakfast -> too close to person sitting next to you Only one bottle of water was put in room at turn down service. No tissues in the room. Elevator seemed a bit “suspicious”. Tv in master bedroom switched to black screen several times. Curtains didn’t shut properly. Used chair to keep them closed. Slight breeze despite windows being closed -> cold room. Unorganized lighting situation in living area and master.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and the beds were comfortable. The staff at reception were very professional. The buffet breakfast had a lot of great choices and was included!
Cons: We were surprised that this hotel does not have a real restaurant or bar. There is a morning breakfast room , which was great, but no other place to eat. The "bar" was just a small room with a couch and some chairs. The bartender was behind a small table --no actual bar or counter to sit at. After travelling all day, I had hoped for more.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
5,8 Okay
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: The air conditioning although advertised was turned off and the room which was very small was very hot. The breakfast was basic.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very easy to reach, as it is located right next door to Perrache station (where you can find trams, trains and metro easily). It has a 24/7 bar, cozy rooms, and a very friendly staff (that helped me solve my not-working card problem). It is also right next door to the Brasserie Georges, a very large brewery/restaurant, with incredible service and wonderful food.
Cons: The only bad thing about the hotel's location is that it is located very close to the highway, so if you want to go for a walk to the most popular parts of Lyon, you either have to go through an underground tunnel with no lights (so it's dark at night and very dangerous) or you walk through a field full of tents and homeless.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and welcoming. Easily accessible from station. Helpful staff
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Good location
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, right next to the train station, but not loud at all. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Good service with regards to food, drink, and city recommendations. Good value for money overall. Would recommend.
Cons: The air conditioning wasn’t very effective and so we had to leave the windows open during the night, but I suspect this fault was contained to our room and would not stop me from staying here again!

6,7 Good
Pros: Not up to the normal standard of Citadines.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and safe area - Many restaurants within steps from front door of hotel. The hotel is very central to all attractions. Beds and pillows very comfortable, kitchen well stocked for cooking, although we did not. Did use coffee maker so be sure to bring your own coffee or buy some. Pastries and grocery stores 3-4 minutes from hotel. Staff very nice and helpful. Coffee/tea/water available to guests in lobby. Tourist office is only about 1/4 mile from hotel. Across the river is the Old City which is only a 8-10 minute walk. This was our second stay and we would stay here again.
Cons: The bathroom lighting is very poor. More lights would be nice. I think the maid did a poor job cleaning the floor in apartment this time. Everything but the floor was very clean. Our other stay everything was clean.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was perfect as always. Great welcome from helpful staff, immaculate room, comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen - I would choose a Citadines wherever I go if possible. I would recommend to everyone.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.

Pros: Lyon is an amazing city. The apartment was in a great location in terms of the shopping district, the sites and there are two underground stops not far away. The apartment was spacious and well equipped.
Cons: There were mosquitos, which was awful!Make sure to come with anti-mosquito sprays. Also the apartment looks over a very busy and very noisy bar/pub area which made it really difficult to sleep.Though the windows are doubleglazed etc. In Summer, I could imagine it being unbearably warm.
6,3 Good
Pros: The hotel was very central with easy access to shopping and the historical sites. The hotel was self contained and was very well equiped.
Cons: Some minor maintenance issues (shower head can not be adjusted from waist height, towel drying rack is coming off the wall and instructions for dishwasher/griller etc only in French)
5,0 Okay
Pros: It's in the best location and neighbourhood it could ever be, good to have a microwave with grill, dishwasher, ironing machine, rooms are spacious enough even for the studios.
Cons: There is no vacuum cleaner or any other cleaning instrument to clean your room, as they don't do it if you are staying less than a week, Slow elevators are an issue, there is no A/C in the rooms, Rooms are clean but really old, its time for a renewal for the hotel
6,3 Good
Pros: The location was very good with many restaurants and shops nearby. Our apartment overlooked a noisy square, so we were worried about being able to sleep, but the hotel had double layered windows, which completely blocked out the noise.
Cons: The hotel had on-site parking, which was a major plus, but accessing the garage was very difficult. We had to navigate tight turns though a pedestrian area, and the remote didn't work on more than one occasion.
4,7 Okay
Pros: 1) Nicely equipped kitchenette just buy your oil, salt, sugar than u have everything to cook 2) Superb location
Cons: 1) Slow elevators, if you don't wanna waste your time stay in lower flats 2) In summer lots of noise coming from the street, as it is very busy, no air condition so you have to open the windows and run the fan 3) Old furniture, worn out 4) Only cable internet however its relatively fast er than wifi 5) Once in a week cleaning isn't good
7,6 Good
Pros: The location of this hotel is surperb. On a cobbled street in the dining & partying district, this is a great spot! Kids will scream past your windows at 4 am but that that's what you came here for..right...? Situated on the Pres'quile everything is at your doorstep: clothes, food, transportation... etc. Front desk was very helpful and gave us a map we used despite the tourism office's map.
Cons: Surprised to find the couch was our bed (fold-out). And stricter renting rules than Switzerland (ie pay up front, nobody collects your garbage). but location was worth it. Charming hotel in a very desirable area. Great value for money.
4,4 Okay
Pros: Location was excellent for the sightseeing and resturants
Cons: There was a lack of convienence shops in the area for provisions and also the arrangements for cleaning were unclear. Studio rooms were very small.
6,0 Good
Pros: Nice room, LCD tv set, the staff was all right.
Cons: You have to walk at least 10 minutes to find a subway station.
6,8 Good
Pros: location excelent, comfort good, large space per suite, good matresses, very polite staff, good and very usefull room facilites, free internet in reception lobby,
Cons: problems with ventilation in the common lobbies , toilet and bathroom but not very annoing, need maybe an airconditioning system
6,8 Good
Pros: location was great. It has a small kitchen and a nice bath
Cons: Bed was in a sleep sofa. Not quite as comfortable as a standard mattress, but was acceptable. Room was not serviced daily

7,5 Good
Pros: Cool common areas, integrated to the other hotel from the same chain.
Cons: One of the rooms that I booked had no energy available. The day after we have got a small discount to compensate the disturbance, but I understand lack of electricity something serious. Plus, the hotel doesn’t have 24h reception. I did not pay attention to that when I booked, and arrived after it was closed. Luckily another guest informed me at the main door that I could use the reception of the attached hotel (same chain) to get keys and access to the room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast it is ok!
Cons: Small room.
7,5 Good
Pros: breakfast, restaurant at the connected hotel
Cons: our sink drain wouldn't open so we just let it fill up until it went out the overflow hole; not staying long enough to deal with getting it fixed. Also heard some of the phones in rooms didn't work, but ours was fine.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Hair on the bed
7,1 Good
Pros: Very clean, kids friendly hotel
Cons: Unfortunately the light gone in our room so we've been moved to another room. The thing is the new room was for a couple not for four of us that we paid for. The night on one bed with the one pillow only and two towels in the bathroom wasn't very comfortable I'm afraid. There is not reception after 21:30 to deal with.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location, decent rooms with great beds and good showers, fun facilities for kids, all that you need for a stop over
Cons: One of the rooms we were offered was very smelly. This should have been noticed by staff. It was handled politely though.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Young, modern, fun and sport them of the decoration. Nice and réceptive staff.
Cons: Coffee in the room! Pancakes machine seems to be a new thing in hotels...but it is too slow! The ready ones mean less queue.
7,1 Good
Cons: Rooms are spacious..... but for for long term stay and more baggage, some cupboards required. Some rooms dont have enough shelfs. Sometimes parking was bit problematic (problem only when big buses are parked). In one of the rooms I stayed, the bathroom water was coming out to the room and carpets become wet. This is not because of any clogged water drain pipes etc, but the bathroom construction for that room was not good. Than i requested for a change of room.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Restaurant could have some simpler food options

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and always smiley front desk lady (really amazed by the excellent communication, kindness) - well done!
Cons: Everything was great :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice continental breakfast, plenty of choice. Big room, nice shower, very clean. Room was quiet, despite being near reception where there was music on. Saw the outdoor pool but arrived too late to use it.
Cons: We found it a bit difficult to find the hotel in the dark (driving) - despite using Google maps & very little traffic on the Lyon/Bron motorways at 10.30-11pm. It is in handy location for travellers but the maze of motorways in & around Lyon was a bit daunting!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and very pleasant hotel.
Cons: N/A
7,9 Good
Pros: - convenient access to Eurexpo and to the city centre - access to daily shopping - friendly staff - good shower facility
Cons: - no ramp to the reception, no elevator to the rooms - printing charge too expensive for 21st century - system remains quite manual - a very basic hotel - no coffee or kettle in the room - door closes too slowly takes too much time
7,9 Good
Pros: - minimalist room but kept tidy - good working shower - friendly and flexible staff - good access to Eurexpo and trams
Cons: - many stairs to access the reception and no elevator - attention to travelers with lots of baggage - printing charge of 1€ per a sheet of paper is exaggerated for the 21st century - old-fashioned manual management fof reservations which can get messy - while it’s convenient for Eurexpo the surrounding area is not charming - it would have been good to have a coffee machine or kettle in the room - room doors close very slowly it can be frustrating
7,9 Good
Pros: - There is room to park the car inside the property. There is no gate, but you do not need to look for a parking spot - Very responsive on email - Pretty decent small breakfast. Mini croissants, mini pains au chocolat, good (small bread), some sausage and cheese. yogurt, decent coffee - Good size room
Cons: - Property can use an update - Thick pillows - Very few plugs in the room for this day and age - Light in the room was quite dim even with every lamp on - No gel or shampoo - Small Tv - There was a boiler in the room, but no coffee and a single bag of tea...
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It was what we were looking for in the location we wanted for the FIFA Women’s World Cup
Cons: Towels are worn.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: The shower room was great. Nicely decorated and the shower was very powerful. Literally all that was good about this hotel.
Cons: The room it’s self was fine, bed, TV, shower room. Everything you need for a nights stay. The rooms carpet needed hoovered. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, so much so that we ended up sleeping at the foot of the bed!! The hotel isn’t in the best location, there is a tram stop but nothing in terms of walking distance. We went for a walk and there was a tent set up at the side of a bridge, which was off putting. Not exactly what you want to see in the surrounding areas of your hotel. The room walls are paper thin, you can hear the people staying next to you. 1 staff member was friendly....the other wasn’t. We asked the friendly staff member to book us a taxi for an early flight...she booked it but it wasn’t a taxi. It was a personal, private driver that charged us an unreasonable amount to take us to the airport - judging this by the fact that we got a taxi to the hotel which was cheaper and we gave them a tip!! Overall if you are just needing a hotel for the night, I’d recommend booking the hotel at Lyon airport. If you’re booking this hotel thinking you’re saving money; you’re wrong. If you’re booking this hotel thinking it’s only 1 night, just need a comfortable bed; you’re wrong. If all you’re interested in is a great shower; book the hotel!
