Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet; food at dinner was also excellent. Lovely outdoor terrace, too.

Cons: Surcharges during the Festival weeks made there hotel VERY expensive.

Pros: the room was big and very confortable! the bed and pillows was amazing. The shower was also very great and we eat very well at the restaurant.

Cons: Generosity is missing in this hotel. everything have to pay even a bottle of water in room, compare with other hotel I stayed in Salzburg and Munich that was unbelievable.

Pros: It was a very nice hotel. We felt at home as soon as we stepped inside the hotel. The friendliness of the staff gives the hotel a good atmosphere. We will come back!

Pros: The staff were welcoming, friendly and professional; the hotel was conveniently located, and the room and en-suite were extremely clean. In fact, for an older inner-city hotel, it was outstandingly well-cared for.

Cons: Breakfast was okay, but not at all special. The mattress was soft, but not horrible. The hotel is probably perfectly fine in winter, but I wouldn't recommend staying there in summer. The room was really, really warm and stuffy. And because the hotel is located in the middle of a tourist city, the noise from revelers outside was seriously loud until about 3 am -- unless I closed the windows. So I spent most of the night awake, vascillating between closing the windows and broiling, and keep them open and giving up on sleeping. An elecrtric fan in the room would have made all the difference.

Pros: Super friendly and helpful. Central location. Decent breakfast and spoessly clean. Walking distance to festspiel and harbour. Hotel is in pedestrian area behind sparkasse so you have walk to car.

Pros: The hotel is located in the center of Bregenz, in a pedestrian zone with plenty of shops and cafés, 8min from the train station. The room was pleasant, quiet and very clean. We enjoyed the breakfast with fresh breads, pastries and fruits.

Pros: Bed was comfy. Shutters on the windows cut out light at night effectively. Lovely spacious shower - not cramped like hotel showers often are. Central location very handy for the main station, the cable car and the lake. The weekly farmers market was right outside the door. Breakfast was good too.

Pros: The lady on reception was very helpful and friendly (We don’t remember her name, but she had just returned to work from a vacation in Italy) The room was spotlessly clean and bed very comfortable. The Breakfast room was nicely decorated and we had a very tasty breakfast with plenty of choice. The location of the hotel was great for walks around Bregenz and the lake.

Cons: A little expensive for a small and under-equipped room. It was noisy when opening the windows, we were at the side of the hotel, facing another building barely 3 meters away.

Pros: The hotel is right in the center of Bregenz. It is just a short walk from the lake. The city center and the lake promenade are all in walking distance.

Cons: My room had one of the smallest beds I ever slept on. It reminded me of my childhood. Fancoils on rooftops close by made an annoying noise throughtout the night.

Pros: Breakfast was an amazing buffet with multiple types of breads, cooked dishes, muesli, yoghurts and fruits. Everything to set you up for a days sightseeing. Hotel is right by the train station near the lakeside - so perfect location and still only 10 mins from town.

Cons: Was too impersonal for our taste and seemed part of the casino, however the staff were all very efficient and pleasant.

Cons: Typical casino hotel atmosphere, although it feels more like being in a motel or on a cheap cruise ship than a Grand Hotel. The name and the description are very misleading.

Pros: As we have been cycling around Europe we are always looking for properties that are bike friendly. This was without a doubt the best bike service we have had on our 10week tour. A separate bike garage that we had a key to which made it easy to get our bikes in and out.

Cons: Maybe they could have explained the breakfast options better.

Cons: Only perceptions, not necessarily critiques: be aware there are two buildings, and if you are in the annex, you will have a set of stairs to master, and you will be going outside to get to breakfast. Parking is “catch as catch can”. Hotel appears to cater to large tour groups, which can make the breakfast buffet a challenge: the buffet area is in a “galley” style, so narrow, and not all Europeans are patient & polite: I was nearly bowled over by a Dutch female bike rider who was determined to get to the coffee machine, and a Dutch older man reached into the hard roll basket several times to squeeze the rolls until he found one soft enough.

Cons: Room in the ‘guest house’ was nice looking but the toilet had a terrible sewer smell. Guest house is in different building than reception, so after a full day of sightseeing I was too tired to go complain and try to get another room so I left the light/fan on all night to try and get rid of the smell. The smell from the toilet remained strong. Housekeeping could not have cleaned that room that day and not notice the strong smell, so I was very dissatisfied they would give such a room to someone in the first place. Also poor service with employees who don’t seem to care. I forgot a pair of eyeglasses in the room (in the smelly toilet) and called the very next day after check out to ask about them. Was told they would look and call me. No call back. Then different answers when I called back again. Yes they looked and they didn’t find them. But then ‘they will look later today’. Then no they didn’t find them. I know the eyeglasses were there because the last place I wore them was in that room. They just don’t care enough to look or be bothered. The breakfast was the only good thing about the stay.

Pros: Surrounded by the lake, the hotel is quiet. The nice and friendly young man at the reception gave me a clear guide as to where to go. Thumbs up.

Cons: After ordering a dinner set, I was completely ignored, as seen from other customers arriving a lot later having their meal one by one, and the guy serving me just didn't care. I simply walked out.

Pros: We choose this Hotel for our stay during Bregenzer Festspiele for 2 years already and are planning to come next year! This Hotel is definitely closer to 4 stars than 3.

Cons: The only one thing that someone may not like is self cooking during breakfast:if you want scrambled eggs or fried eggs or omelet-be ready to cook it yourself.we were totally fine with this fact because everything was organized really well.

Pros: The room was clean and about what I would expect for the price. Nothing fancy, but clean and practical room. The staff was lovely and they were very helpful with the festival logistics.

Cons: The hotel is in a weird location. Pro: across from the Wolford HQ so I got an extra 10% off the outlet store. Con: immediately next-door to a strip club though I never saw anyone go in. The area is quiet at night and about a 30-40 minute walk from the Main Street in town so I had to rent a bike to get around.

Cons: 4pm check in is very late and check out is at 11am - not really good value for money. The receptionist who checked us in was not friendly. Parking is very limited but they don't control guests who park in private parking spots either. He gave us directions for free parking which is far and the pay parking which is closer. When we asked more about the pay parking, a colleague then jumped in and gave us more helpful information than he. The rooms are not what we expected - the whole hotel has a very "hostel" vibe, the rooms are very old, there's the smell of old wood all over and lighting is very bare so it gives off an eerie feeling. The bathroom is ok but not as clean. At the ceiling there seems to be some growth of something or maybe it's just paint peeling off - we're not sure.

Cons: Curtains were coming down and didn’t completely cover the windows. This made it light in the room at night. We were offered a different room, but it had the same problem.

Pros: On a positive note, breakfast was good and breakfast staff was friendly.

Cons: On arrival, room floors were dirty and we were given only two towels for three persons. The next morning, we hanged the door note, supplied in the room saying, Happy to get attention. We also asked at the reception to change the sheets of our single bed, to give us another towel, and reported the dirty floors. When we returned to our room in the afternoon we noticed that none of these have been done and no maid visited the room. Therefore, we complained again to the reception. When we arrived back to our room at night then we noticed that they have managed to make the beds and give us fresh towels but they still didn't wash the dirty floors as we had requested. The staff at the reception was unprofessional and moody. This made us feel uncomfortable on our holiday.

Cons: Unfriendly, rude and unreasonable staff that took back their words after assigning me a double room despite that I told them my bookings was a single. I emphasised that only if that is not a problem. The next day, the boss insisted I have to shift which finally I have to agree as they threatened to call the police to evict me. It was for 7 nights stay.

Pros: Considering this is an expensive area the hotel was very good value. Margarida on the reception was very friendly and helpful. Location is 2 blocks from the lake, 2 blocks from city square so very good even though the immediately surrounding buildings are just concrete. Breakfast was nice with the usual selections and good fresh bread. Room on the top floor was compact but fine and everything worked.

Cons: I was hot - admittedly unusually hot weather, but top floor location, no air conditioning and window didn't catch much breeze.

Pros: The hotel is located right at the center of the city, near many restaurants and also the lakeside, and just a few minutes walk from the Opera. Breakfast was nice, and the staff welcoming and helpful.
