Le Colombier de Cyrano et Roxane - Bergerac - Bedroom

A continental breakfast is served every morning and restaurants can be found within 250 metres of the property. The Begerac Tourism Office is a 6-minute walk from Le Colombier de Cyrano et Roxanne. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staying in a 16th century house was an enjoyable experience. The quirky interior was unique. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty of options every morning. Location was perfect to explore Bergerac. Hosts were very friendly and helpful with recommendations of restaurants and local places to visit. A bonus was the two friendly terriers who also made us very welcome.
Cons: A box of tissues would have been a useful addition to everything else which had been supplied in our room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: B&B in an ancient building, wonderfully-located in the historic center of Bergerac. Bergerac is a lovely medieval town, easy to walk around. The house is full of wood beams, creaky floors and tons of charm. The staircase to the rooms and the room we had in the attic (which I found charming) is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. Simple continental breakfast (croissants, bread and jams, yogurt) was ok. Get a reservation for dinner at Le Quatre Vins before arriving. It’s a small place a short walk from the B&B with very good, reasonably-priced meals.
Cons: Be aware you have to pay for parking and that the place is difficult to drive to because of on-way or pedestrian streets the GPS will try to route you through. But you’ll find it you persist.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Picture book medieval house right in the old town and facing onto a tree lined square. One street back from the river bank. Lots of cafes and restaurants with a minutes walk. Very big room furnished beautifully with antique furniture. Fabulously comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly hosts Good breakfast. Parking nearby. Easy route out of the town to get to the airport.
Cons: Loved the accommodation but would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to the age of the property
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The unique setting in a restored medieval house. The very personal reception of the hosts.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Where do I start? The location is perfect, very central and just yards from the Dordogne river. Plenty little cafes, bars and restaurants well within walking distance. The property is very quirky and full of character. Access could be difficult for the less mobile, which is not surprising considering the building is 600 years old. The rooms were well presented and very clean with fresh linen. Finally, the hosts were superb, incredibly friendly and helpful. And they make a fantastic breakfast. I would definitely recommend and hope to be back!
Cons: The only negative I can come up with is that I wish we would have been staying longer! Fantastic!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the building. It was amazing to be staying in this ancient home. The host was incredible,..more knowledgable than the tourist information lady. He was friendly and helpful. Thank you for making Bergerac a very special place.
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very interesting and central
Cons: No lock on the door to the suite of rooms. Shower could have been better and more choose for breakfast other than croissants and yoghurt.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old house in the historic centre lovely room and welcoming host. Comfortable bed.
Cons: To be fair we arrived during a festival but it took us an hour to find. No entry and one way everywhere.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Being able to drop off bags and return later to check in was a real help. The building is beautiful and in a great looking area. We loved the antiquity of the house and our hosts were very welcoming and extremely helpful in helping us arrange to be up and out for breakfast - with fresh croissants - then on to the airport.
Cons: That we hadn't stayed longer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was perfect. The room magical.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: the lay out and friendliness of staff
Cons: the weather
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The range, quality and condition of the games were very good!
Cons: Would be great if more to do just around the hotel.
7,1 Good
Pros: The rooms on 1st floor are far better than at the ground floor where the beds are far too narrow and a noisy aircon. 1st floor have wide beds, good shower/tub and a resonable silent aircon.
Cons: The breakfast was good but chaotic with a lot of guests with hardly any space at the buffet. The parasols are placed outside the pool area - inside the area would nr a great improvement.

Pros: Handy for the airport.
Cons: No tea or coffee facilities in the room.

Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great bonus to play games in the evening. Pool and handy restaurant next door. Very friendly staff, made a real effort to make us feel welcome.
Cons: Only thing to improve would be a shower cubicle rather than a bath/shower.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: All staff very helpful and the breakfast was the best ever, short of bacon+eggs!!! We were overnight in Bergerac for a specific meeting and the hotel certainly helped us to have a comfortable night and great sleep before the 2nd day. Only slight minus was negotiating edge of Bergerac, which is a lot more "busy" than the calm rural area we live, at other end of Dordogne
Cons: the room, tho' comfortable, was a little small - not tooo sure would be happy staying there for a week or so, unless maybe in summer, able to be out and about for much longer days
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous value Very clean and efficient
7,1 Good
Pros: reasonable low cost petit dejeuner
Cons: install a lift !
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was clean and comfortable and is in a good position for a short walk into the town centre. The breakfast was good and with plenty of choice. It was an ideal choice for a quick overnight stop before continuing our journey.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good with a wide choice of items. Car parking arrangements were excellent.
Cons: The room furnishings were a little "tired". On a hot day like the one when we arrived, air conditioning would have been welcomed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Ideally placed in a quiet residential area. Short walk to town centre and the railway station. Garden and swimming pool to the rear. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Very reasonably priced local wine if you fancy a drink in the evening.
Cons: Some people might find the lack of a lift a problem but it was fine for us.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: This old style Hotel is located very close to the centre of Bergerac. It has it's own secure private parking at the rear (small charge levied) and a nice swimming pool. The Hotel is clean and the owners are very helpful. The breakfast is the usual continental style and fairly adequate. The room we had was spacious and had a very comfortable bed. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
Cons: The en-suite bathroom had the shower placed over a very odd bath! The bath was so narrow at the bottom it was difficult to stand up under the shower head. Also, there wasn't a screen or shower curtain, so the water went all over the floor.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was a very memorable 5 night stay in this lovely town on the Dordogne. The hotel was close to the town centre yet was on a quiet street. The owners were very hard working and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfasts during our stay. The weather was very hot so we used the pool in the garden every day - clean, cold and refreshing. It was a short walk from the train and bus stations which was very handy for us independent travellers.
Cons: The sunbeds could do with matresses on them to make them more comfortable
8,3 Excellent
Pros: position and cleanliness. Comfortable bed.
Cons: No tea/coffee in room. A complimentary bottle of water would have been nice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place was great ! Anik The check in Woman was outstanding .Sorry if I spelled the name wrong. She helped us even get a cab ride 2 hours away .She made our trip fantastic.I would come back anytime Thank you to all the friendly staff as well Jeff and Desiree
Cons: all good
7,5 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a good location and the off-street parking so centrally is a great plus. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast included a good variety and was replenished throughout the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room smelt of cigarette smoke (as a non-smoker, this was unpleasant). I also thought I had booked a quiet room (rear of the hotel) with a shower but found myself overlooking the street with a bath; however, I was only charged for the facilities I was given, not the better ones, so the Hotel is honest.

Have used before and will use again! Worth noting there are no bus/train services at the airport and taxi fares are quite expensive - plenty of car hire companies operate just outside the arrivals.
