Pros: The staff were super helpful. We didn't realise that the price included free entry to all museums in town, all public transport and 3 hour stay at the spa nearby. Also, they lent us a PS4 during our stay, which was a welcomed surprise for my kids. The room was spacious, clean and the bathroom was not the small room I expected, but very large and lovely. The beds were very comfortable, we slept very well. The breakfast was amazing, freshly made eggs and waffles to order, so no waste of pre cooked food in the morning for the hotel. The jams were amazing, by the looks of it home made, but all the more delicious! My kids even commented on the quality of the breakfast, and they don't normally care. We will be definitely back next year.

Pros: Very specious room with massive bathroom, beautiful decorated with comfortable beds. Amazing staff, probably the nicest we came across in a while. Absolutely delicious breakfast with the best quality food, jams and fresh juices. My children were absolutely touched when they offered to go and get croissants. Next to beautiful UNESCO site, definitely worth visiting.

Pros: Brilliant location, so quite and safe and we had great walks especially to the Hercules statues and fountain - we even were lucky to see the fountain working one day (it's open once a month). There are many walking and cycling trails around the area and the hotel have a bar/restaurant. The room was massive and very clean as you'd expect.

Pros: Charming hotel situated in the forest. The surroundings are very calm and were also excellent when walking our dogs. Parking a bit from the main entrance. We had a very spacious “suite” with a lovely bathroom. With a whirlpool bath but only allowed to be used in daytime. Very clean. Enjoyable breakfast (inside) and dinner (outside) together with our two dogs. At breakfast we were asked how we wanted our eggs.
Cons: We were charged EUR 30 for our two dogs (one night). That is about twice as much as our second most expensive extra room cost for our dogs during our trip.

Pros: The breakfast was perfect. Pastries, bread, delicatessen, eggs, fruits, juices were fresh. We also had a diner, which was also very good. Very professional staff. Close to the Hercules park, possible to go by walk, or tram 4 then bus. We chose tram+bus (15 min) and came back walking through the park. The indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna are perfect.
Cons: It is unbelievable, but we had no air conditioning, and no fan in the room. It was very inconfortable, as the temperature was about 28 degrees in the room. It is possible to slightly open the window, but the tram is very noisy at night. My spouse, our baby and myself had one of our worst nights... It is really a pity because otherwise the room was clean, bed confortable... it is my fault not to have checked the presence of AC. But on a 4 stars hotel (and the price!), I thought it would be standard...

The hotel is situated in a nice aria, restaurants and teraces near by, a little far from center, but we recived free tram ticket, wich was perfect. Highly recommended.

Nothing has been cleaned! It was smelling of dust! Our daughter she had allergy so it was very unpleasant stay! Would not recommend and won’t stay there again! Regards Peter

Pros: This is not the first time when I’m staying at H4 Hotel Kassel, therefore, I already know what can I expect. The staff as usual are very friendly and will try to fill out all your requests. The room are big enough and with complimentary water. There is no doubt that I will recommend this hotel to my friends and in the next visit to Kassel for sure I would try to stay there.

Cons: We had chosen this hotel because of aircondtioned bedrooms. This information was given on booking.com. Unfortunately, only the modern part of the building is equipped with aircondtioning. It was a very hot night..we were boiling it was impossible to sleep. We had our window opened but there were noises coming from outside and someone smoked every hour or so and the smoke was coming to our bedroom. The bathroom needs updating, mouldy between tiles. I would not pay the price again for these condtions. It we hadn't arrived late we would have gone somewhere else. Very disappointed. Total waste of money. Misled by the information on booking.com

Cons: Restaurant is severely overprices for a tiny selection of food and wines on the menu. My attempt to use the pool in the morning failed due to as the cleaning pump with a hose floating, with no one to pull it out until next hour. We've got a dog-friendly room in the back building, which had no lift, and the stair was too steep and slippery for dogs to use it. We had to carry the dog up and down each time. Surely not an option for all dog owners.

Cons: Rooms are without air conditioners when i asked they told me that i need to take the upgrade room to have air conditioner. So i went online to check the price of the bigger room that has this option and the manger told me that this rooms are not available online and can not be booked you need to take the offer from the front desk in the hotel . Pros: Perfect location esp when you want to walk and discover the UNESCO park! Easy parking next to the hotel at a moderate EUR8 per day. The hotel restaurant and outside bar were splendid, as well as their staff. We didn’t use the Spa facilities but we’re sure these are fantastic too. Overall a great hotel with a very good price/performance ratio indeed.

Pros: This hotel was much nicer than expected. I'm a sucker for a pool and spa, and this one was impressive and beautiful - never been to a sauna with views like this! The hotel room was spotless and roomy. We also had drinks on the terrace which was pleasant. Oh and a rare treat, breakfast included, tasty and varied. Great stay.
Cons: Errr... not much. If I have to think of something, the tasty-looking freshly squeezed orange juice could have been included with breakfast instead of an extra cost? Apparently that's a 'thing' in Germany though. That's all I can think of...

Helgar, in particular, and also, the Front-Desk Female Service Associate, whom checked us in, on Tuesday 7/23/19, were both extraordinary, and treated us with Familial regard. Pros: Beds were so comfy. Use of the fridge was really appreciated as cold drinks were essential in the summer heat. Everything is only 5 minutes walk away, so the location can't be beaten. The complimentary coffee and cold drinks in the morning were a nice touch.

Pros: Facility for wheelchair user is not good. Wheelchair friendly yes, accessibility not. We had a deluxe room, it was spacious but the bathroom is not wheelchair accessible. We had to use the toilet in the basement, even that was not easy since the elevator was very small. We literally had squeeze my husband in. If you are not a wheelchair user, it is quite good.

It is location is fantastic, that there is a very huge shopping center, with most famous markets and Restaurants, directly opposite it called DEZ. also beside the hotel the is Burger king and behinde it there is DM, aldi and Backery. The bathroom was also very good with everything modern. Also the big flat screen which is connected to the internet. At last, the staff was so friendly and helpful and try to do everything to make us happy and satisfied.
Cons: Please booking team amend the check in time of this hotel. It is 16 oclock not 14. Because this mistake made me wait for 40min till the receptionist came. But hecwas very kind and gave us the best and quiet room in the hotel as a compensation for our log wait.

Pros: I arrived very late, but the owners were friendly and helpful. First you wonder where you've landed, because it looks like the film set from various movies, with an old telephone box to reach reception, a punch-ball with boxing gloves in my room,... but you soon notice that in spite of the old building which is probably difficult to maintain and clean, it was spotless, and decorated with wild imagination and love. If you want to make a cool music video, this is the place! It is a hotel like you've never seen before, made with love and creativity, which was great fun to stay in, and lacked no comforts. My only regret was the shortness of my stay, I hope to come again! One boring but helpful detail is that there is ample secure parking in an inner yard protected by a gate.

Pros: Staff were very helpful, refunding my breakfast fee, when I explained I would need to leave very early each morning, so wouldn't be able to use it. Very clean, basic self contained room. Welcomed with a pack of sweeties, which was a nice touch. There's a canteen, which is accessible for 24 hours, where you can make a hot drink, and where you have breakfast too. 10 minute walk from the train station and centre of town. Would definitely book again.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like much were the the metal steps up to the rooms on the second/third floors. They are see through, so not good if you're afraid of heights. Don't look down!

Pros: This place has all the basics (though really not more than that) for a good price. Good for one overnight stay on your way to somewhere else. A very clean room and a super mattress. Good double windows keep the noise from the motorway at bay. Appreciated the air conditioning. As other guests mentioned, the brilliant shower is a real highlight.
Cons: The rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade; there are a number of marks on walls and doors showing wear and tear. So does the carpet. Personally I would like the rooms to be lighter as well; A ceiling light and not so much brown around. The hotel is easy to find, but getting back on the highway was a real nightmare as when I was there navigation had not yet caught up with the changes made to the intersection.
