10,0 Excellent
Pros: What a wonderful surprise this was! We had never been to downtown Battle Creek MI. Looking forward to my next stay there. Definitely will stay at the Baymont.
Cons: Absolutely wonderful place to stay.
7,9 Good
Pros: The downtown location. Walked to restaurants and various points of interest.
Cons: Noise level at night - approximately 12 - 1am. Two vehicles parked in handicapped spaces revving the engines. Pulling in and out of the hotel going around the block. Extremely noisy.
7,5 Good
Pros: Presidential room was nice.
Cons: Stains on sheets
6,3 Good
Pros: Breakfast is as okay.
Cons: The pool was dirty and disgusting. We have used this hotel several times but will never come back again. The hot tub was dirty and a breeding place for germs. I wanted to teach my Grandson to swim but I couldn’t. The parking lot was filthy too. We were very disappointed.
7,9 Good
Pros: My room was very clean. Close the Bedford Valley golf course (10minutes). Prices are very reasonable. Close to a couple downtown good restaurants and within 6-8 minutes from a large grocery store etc.
Cons: Neighborhood is a little “sketchy” but have now stayed here 4 times without any issues. Never felt unsafe but the surroundings may give the wrong impression.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fine: pretty much what you'd expect from a complimentary breakfast. The location was great. I was speaking at a conference downtown and could walk to it from the hotel.
Cons: Though the room was clean, the bedding seemed old: there were actually a couple of holes worn in one of the sheets I had one night. I waited at the desk a few minutes to check out, even ringing the bell for service, only to then discover the desk attendant outside for a smoke break after I finally gave up and went out to my car. Still, it was a good value for the money.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Any positive was quickly overshadowed by 1 employee, the owner’s son. The rest of our complaint: Other employees were visibly afraid of him. Perhaps there is more entitlement going on? Perhaps the on site inspection that is “corporate policy” may help resolve that issue? Perhaps listen to what corporate has told you and attempt a resolution instead of ignoring the situation?
Cons: Exactly how unsafe is your parking lot for guests? Per a male employee, “my parents own this establishment and I park there (handicap parking) so my car doesn’t get dinged.” He followed up with, “I can move it if someone needs the spot”. The attached picture is from July 12-13. After his disgusting entitled attitude, we were then harassed by this employee. He had seen our handicap placard and my husband in his wheelchair many times, yet felt the need to send another employee over to ask me if I’m disabled and if I have a handicap placard? Then hang up calls to our room later that evening, to the point I had to take the phone off the hook? After my first call to corporate (before the harassment), I received a disrespectful email from the owner. The ONLY resolution I requested was for him to move his car and not take a handicap spot from a person with disabilities. Corporate stated, since it’s an ADA violation it’s corporate policy to send someone to the site. After the hang up calls, the harassment was bad enough I called corporate again. At this point, I was given no choice than to let them know it was affecting my husband’s PTSD and the need for him to use more medication. I’m disgusted by the behaviors and entitlement of the owner’s son. 2 resolution dates have since come and passed with no contact on your part. Mommy and daddy owning the establishment does NOT trump Federal law! The Americans with Disabilities Act does NOT have an entitlement clause! NO, we were not going to search for you and ask you to move your illegally parked vehicle each day when returning to the hotel! There is a reason for these LAWS and it definitely isn’t entitlement. July 14, as he saw us driving away (knowing we had checked out) he was backing into .... the exact handicap spot we pulled out of. I stopped my vehicle, he moved and created his own parking spot. The entitlement is still there and the OWNERS are responsible.

9,4 Excellent
Pros: Staff was so helpful and friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. Close to everything .. Walkable downtown .
4,5 Okay
Pros: Hotel is a bit run down, but I was just staying for one night and could put up with run down so long as clean. The minute we entered the hall way of the 6th floor where we stayed, we couldn't get past the musty chemical smell. We arrived late, and were leaving for another engagement so didn't really have time to change our plans. Room was adequate but had the same smell. If it weren't for the smell wouldn't have been too bad. They also meessed up my reservation, had requested a king bed but got two queen bed room instead. Again, we were in a bit of a hurry so didn't tell front desk as it wasn't a huge deal. On positive note, the staff was very nice,
Cons: On website of hotel, mentions that they have a shuttle service to the casino. The day we were there, there was no shuttle service so we took a cab to casino. $15 cab ride, so not that big of deal.
6,0 Good
Pros: Most everything was fine. I've stayed here many times when visiting family in Battle Creek. The valet parking is fine, the rooms are okay, and I usually have few complaints.
Cons: BUT - the noise can be really bad during large events at the attached convention center. Idiot midwestern families occupying multiple rooms seem to like to shout down the hallways as if they were in their own home instead of a shared facility. The worst, though, is that the staff apparently don't bother to reprogram the alarm clocks on the nightstands between guests. Cue me getting woken up out of a deep sleep at 5 a.m., having to yank the damn clock out of the wall to get it to shut up, and never getting back to sleep. UNACCEPTABLE.

Door reveal at jam way to wide furniture stained. Got charged an extra $10 a night for dog, even dog didn’t want to walk on carpet. Had to clean the air filters on A/C they were disgusting. Not much of anything for breakfast. Nobody ever at counter.

Pros: We did like the suite, two room and two bath room.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I’ve stayed at most hotels in BC and this is the only place I would recommend in this price range. It has been recently remodeled and looks great. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Beds are comfortable. It’s a completely different place since this facility changed ownership. There are more expensive places to stay in BC but I found they aren’t worth paying twice as much to stay here.
Cons: Rooms are “daily clean” but there is some “monthly cleaning” that needs to done. I.E., accumulated crud in the corners, it is dirty under the beds, etc. They also need more power outlets in the room.
10,0 Excellent

Pros: There was really nothing to like!
Cons: It wasn't well kept all. Trash all over! Heater didn't work when arriving. Notified staff and they really didn't seem to wanna fix it. Won't stay here again.

1,0 Poor
Pros: The only good thing was that it was cheap and not too far from where I needed to be.
Cons: This hotel listed that they have a pool but when I asked, I was told it was closed. The room did not seem very clean. I would not stay there again.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Crack house vibe.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Carpet was very dirty there was a strong Stench of cigarette unremodeled needs a lot of repair
3,4 Mediocre
Pros: It was cheap, the location was good, and no bed bugs.
Cons: Old/ stained mattresses; queen size fitted sheets on a double mattress; found a pair of dirty socks behind the refrigerator; sink was incredibly old and disgusting; toilet did not have lid on the tank or a handle to flush (you had put your hand inside the tank and push a button to flush); there was blood (yes, blood) on the underside of the toilet seat; walls must have been paper thin as I heard people talking outside and in the next room (normal conversation volume – not yelling); “breakfast” was a loaf of bread/toaster/ jam/ dry cereal/ no coffee. I can’t believe this place hasn’t been condemned. I have stayed in some pretty bad places but this place was #1.
5,4 Okay
Cons: The gangbangers hanging out in the parking lot The prostitutes that live there
7,9 Good

Pros: Nothing really. But if I have to say anything, it would be check-out time.
Cons: 1st room key card did not work properly got locked out of room. 2nd room shower dirty, towels stained and not a full set for 2 people, refrigerator dirty.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Restaurants on both sides of the property
Cons: The location isn't the best People gather on the balcony talking and laughing loudly till 1-2 am. Security lock on door missing
5,4 Okay
Pros: There was a microwave and refrigerator
Cons: I had to call the front desk (on my phone no phone in the room) because the light over the sink only had 1 light on. He came and screwed the other bulbs in, I didn't know I had to do it. I also killed a big bug. after that I was not going to sleep under the covers. There is also a rack to hang your clothes but no hangers. The washcloth had black stains on it and was paper thin, so was the towel.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything. The room was not what I reserved. I found a dead flea on a towel that was still hanging in our room. They were not pet friendly we ended up being charged for our tiny dog. There was hair under our sheets. It was really disgusting.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The bed sheets were not cleaned from the person who was in the room prior to me.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Free wi-fi
Cons: The staff was making the bed when my husband went back for a lost item just a few minutes after leaving, to see them not changing the sheet, just making the bed. Wow, bad.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The room on the second floor had roaches and mice running throughout the room and when I spoke with the front desk about it they just came in while we were gone and cleaned the tub which had several dead roaches in it. I will never rent a room from there
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were great. The room was clean. The tv worked the air conditioning worked. it was a low priced older hotel. it probably did not offer what a $----- plus hotel would have, but we paid less that 1/4 th of that, so we were very happy.
Cons: Considering the cost, this motel met all of our expectations.
1,0 Poor
Cons: It smelled and was not clean.
1,0 Poor
Pros: This is worst experience I never experience before
Cons: I don't like anything at all in this hotel the room very poor this pace do not offer nothing to the guest no wi-fi , no breakfast, no pool, no gym, trash in cigarette bugs all over the place including front door the room the not clean well the shower tub
1,0 Poor
Pros: The pricing was the only positive for this facility
Cons: Entering the lobby your nose is insulted by unpleasant odors. There is a strong physical need for cleaning and maintenance in all public spaces, due to the lack of cleanliness, I refused to have the continental breakfast supplied. Place needs work.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nothing is stink and sheets was dirty bathroom wasn't clean s waste of my money..and I asked for appropriate refund and he wouldn't give it back..
1,0 Poor
Cons: The lobby smelled bad. The chairs in the lobby looked disgusting. They said their pool hasn't worked all summer, which was misleading, since it showed it had a pool on the website. The pool was one of the main reasons I booked it. NOT happy!
